Came here for a quick coffee. There was not much seating but there are a few cute tables if you want to stay. The service was standard, not super friendly but not rude either. The coffee was a standard, nothing to write home about. We also tried a chocolate croissant which was pretty dry and not super flavorful. Overall, fine if you are in the area, but would NOT make a special trip to come here.

When you are a cafe - you need to know how to make latte, not an ordinary coffee with milk !!! So disappointing !!!

We love the Balkan style ambiance haha. Felt like I was back home with the relaxing vibes. The girl behind the counter was super sweet & made such a good coffee! There's both indoor & outdoor seating! The gelato was really good, red velvet had to be my fav but the mango was a close second. They had a lot of pastries available, so of course I had to try the rainbow cookies - sadly they were dry which was disappointing but the gelato def made up for it! Will make this one of my go-to cafe's for sure!

Corner cafe offering coffee, pastries, and gelato. I think this spot is fairly new and clean. Went around 8:30am and we have a few people sitting inside and outside. I mainly stopped by because a nearby cafe was not open. I could see myself bringing a book here if it's not crowded. Cozy and clean vibe. As for the pastries, I saw the egg tart, and it looked disappointing so I did not get it. Glad they had a chai latte, and it was okay. Saw they make it from a powder.

Love it. Service is excellent. My matcha was delicious. Place is very quiet for a nice talk with friends.

Delicious and refreshing gelatos Cappuccino latte and espresso, full of rich flavors. Muffins, croissant and many variations of desserts to fulfill your palate. Teodora provided a welcoming smile and helpful customer service. The music and aroma from the coffee was enhancing to the ambience.

Astoria certainly isn't lacking in choices for coffee shops but it's still nice to see when new ones pop up. With today's soft opening, Caffe Torino, joins the list of great coffee spots in the neighborhood. This coffee shop sits on the quiet corner of 42 Street and 34th Avenue; just a few blocks off the subway. They have a nice set up for outdoor seating that wraps around the corner. The décor inside features white marble floors, white shiplap walls, black framed windows, and gold accents. Not a very large space but it certainly feels serene and airy; a great place to sit and enjoy a cuppa. Today was their trial run and only had limited items available. Drinks (hot and cold) and some pre-packaged pastries for today. Gelato will be offered some time next week, after their official grand opening. I decided to get a cappuccino and a sugar waffle. It was perfect for today's cold weather. I loved that they use Lavazza coffee; one of the top Italian coffee brands. The drink was strong and full of flavor. Smooth and not bitter; it tasted so lovely. I will definitely be back but might wait until they've ironed out their menu. The coffee alone is worth the trip back but I am hoping they will also have better offerings of pastries.

Wonderful, relatively new cafe in Astoria. The interior is sleek and inviting and there are several tables outside as well. On a nice day, the windows were wide open. I recently tried their gelato -- I had a little scoop of strawberry and hazelnut, both of which were delicious! There were little pieces of hazelnut in the creamy mix. Overall a great little spot to meet friends and neighbors, enjoy gelato, pastries, or coffee, or get some work done. Kind baristas and a breezy ambiance.

And they are off to a great start -very impressed! We stopped by this new cafe a few weeks ago I learned about their opening through a FB post and we just had to check them out When we arrived, virtually all the seating was taken, and many customers were shipping and consuming teas and coffees. It was late in the afternoon, and we ordered herbal tea and regular coffee for me. Though they do not have many options yet, their signature crepes make them stand out from the regular cafes that open up in the area. Each crepe is filled with fruit and is delicious. The manager behind the counter was friendly and professional. A positive and welcoming attitude goes along way. Finally, it was time to meet the owner and congratulate him too! I will be back!

Cute little corner cafe with lots of light and marble finishes! The coffee is great and the staff very nice. There is limited seating inside but there are plenty of more outside! Good place for to work as there are lots of outlets to use!

We basically ordered the whole menu: chicken quesadilla, loaded poppers, lemon pepper wings, the Trestle burger on an English muffin (still undefeated), shepherd's pie, and pig wings. Everything was on point, but the wings, the Mac and cheese and that burger are must-orders every time. The drinks were just as good. We had a frozen Arnold Palmer, a coconut mojito and the boozy blueberry. The overall vibe is calm and chill, perfect for hanging out without feeling rushed. One of my go-to spots for a reason.

The place is LOUD albeit with good taste of retro, 90's music and not the modern trash that floods the radio waves so I can rock with that. Place is sized pretty well with an outside seating area and plenty of tables inside the albeit dimly lit bar/restaurant. Coming into the place I was greeted by a blonde woman who seemed to be a supervisor of the area. She directed me to a comfortable seating area and a server took my order afterwards. The place was relatively busy so the wait for my food was kind of in the long range, about maybe 15 minutes. I ordered Chicken & Waffles with Iced Tea and the food was definitely worth the wait. That chicken was so good, a bit on the crisp side but it's solid in taste. The Waffle had such an awesome texture with the right measure of powdered sugar, decorated with Blueberries and Strawberries, the entrée was plated very well. The Iced Tea, I didn't know it was unsweetened so that threw me off but some sugar kinda fixed that. Service was also 'A' Tier. The place was busy so it was a tad on the slow side but they were very attentive. About 3 different servers tended to me whether it was about my order, how I liked it and paying for the bill when I was finished. That's dedication and I always give props to that. I enjoyed my visit here.

The savory components of the burrito worked surprisingly well with the pancake exterior, making for a medley of sweet, salty, and umami that went really well together in every bite. They have a giant menu posted on the wall to peruse. When we approached the counter to order, the person manning the register basically ignored us. When she finally acknowledged us to place our order, the interaction was taciturn and curt - no niceties. I ordered the single order pan-fried pancake ($8, but closer to $11 after tax). The menu states a choice between beef, pork, and chicken, but we were only given the choice between beef and chicken. The cashier also gave us a choice between spicy potato or pork floss (I opted for the pork floss), which was not denoted in the menu description. The menu does say it comes with veg, but what they really mean is lettuce/salad. The menu picture online is also misleading because it says it comes with an egg, and displays both a soft-boiled egg and beautiful runny egg cascading over the pancake. Instead, the only egg that was served was one overcooked fried egg (not runny at all!), and it was cold (but more on that later). The quoted wait time for the food was 20 minutes. There's a little station near the counter to grab napkins, silverware, and water. Around 9:30am on a Friday, several tables were filled, but no one had any food (the cafe opened at 9am, so I suppose the kitchen was still ramping up). My friends and I ordered variations of the same dish (the pan-fried pancake), but the dishes were served in reverse order - the person who ordered last got their dish first and vice versa. When one order is more complex than another, it's understandable when the easier/quicker one is served first. Since we all ordered nearly the same dish, this was not the case. The way things were being expedited was not efficient. When they finally called my name, I was excited to dig in, but the dish was cold! The beef was cold, the pancake was cold, the egg was cold and overcooked... I had half a mind to send it back. I'm guessing my order was ready earlier, but it must've sat there because someone forgot about it. Now technically, there are cold elements in the dish, if you count the lettuce and dressing, but there's no reason why the pancake, egg, and beef were all cold... they weren't warm, they didn't retain any heat, they were cold. They were also skimpy on the beef. The only redeeming qualities of the dish were that, fortunately, the pancake was still crispy, albeit cold and greasy, and the pork floss is a delicacy that gave the pancake a little extra oomph of flavor and texture. My friend ordered the Wake Up Combo ($14), which is the pan-fried pancake served with a soy milk and tea egg. Similar to my own egg experience, the tea egg was disappointingly overcooked (think hard-boiled) and not jammy like the picture at all. We all have bad days, so maybe Morning Brunch & Cafe was having one... but this is a skip for me.

The prices were bad here but the service and the food weren't great. When we arrived, we were scoping out the menu, they had it posted in a lot of places but it was kind of confusing. I did like how you could scan a QR code and when you clicked on an item, it was more descriptive of the add-on options or potential meat options. There are approximately 10-13 seats, so not great for a massive party, but good for a small outing or for take out. I saw a decent amount of delivery people come in to do pick ups. My friends and I were ordering and were curtly treated by one of the employees. I ordered the fried vegetable pancake with them since you couldn't order the QR code on the tables. She told me the options of only beef and chicken. I thought pork would've been an option and then she mumbled about the options for the additional topping. I couldn't understand her when she said pork floss, so I ordered spicy potatoes. The food also came out kind of sad and was slow to come out. The order was all wrong as I ordered last and then was delivered my dish first. It was kind of sad because I didn't even realize you should be able to pick up the pancake. It was hard to eat because it kept crumbling apart due to the pan fried falky pancake was a thin layer what just felt like crust. I was imagining more like a scallion pancake with vegetables infused or stuffed in. It also came out cold, and could have used a bit more flavor like a sauce or soy sauce. The spicy potatoe tasted a little undercooked as well. My friend ordered hers with pork floss instead and that tasted a little better. The dish also came with a supposed to be overeasy egg that is supposed to be runny, but was a bit overcooked.
