We'd stuffed ourselves at lunch and all needed a walk and a pick-me-up. Milwaukee Caffè has a great menu - I had a perfect espresso tonic, which isn't on all coffeeshop menus, while my parents ordered other beverages. The service was friendly, and the space was incredible. There's some great indoor seating (little tables and couches in a somewhat dark room - it feels like you're in a coffee shop speakeasy) and a few outdoor tables as well. Milwaukee Caffè had everything we needed for our afternoon break. I'd love to return for an espresso tonic ('spresso tonic on their menu) when I'm back in Detroit.

After a food crawl of sorts, we were looking to wind down the evening here, but evidently this place keeps the party going, late night. A spacious spot, with plenty of seating for both small and large groups, this is definitely spot where you can come kick it and hang for a minute. Going with the pot of tea was a great idea because it gave us more of the ambiance that I was going after. I think a to go cup would not have done that. It was the perfect amount of tea and I'm happy they had Splenda as an option for sweetener. The tea cup set was cute, too. The man with the glasses at the front was very helpful and told us the prices of the desserts, but ultimately, we decided to skip out on them. It would be helpful to have prices on the display case, because we wouldn't have to keep asking if they had them there. Another small constructive criticism would be to make sure that the bathroom is stocked with toilet paper-- the bathroom had none. Other than that-- this is a great coffee shop and I would love to visit again soon!
