Really disappointing experience at Bluestone Lane. The espresso machine being down wasn't a big deal since we'd already had coffee, but when we tried to order fresh juice, we were told they didn't have it, and that they've apparently never had it, per our server. I ordered an orange juice and my friend got a smoothie. Our food came out quickly, but our drinks never did. We asked multiple times and kept being told they were coming, but they never showed up. We ate our entire meal without any drinks. We eventually asked to have the drinks removed from the bill and just paid for the food. What made it worse was the lack of acknowledgment. Pricey but cute! We came to do inkind credits which unfortunately are defunct now. The berry smoothie was refreshing and the patio area is really cute, otherwise the drinks were just okay. Stopped by for a quick bite as I had an appointment in the area. Food: I ordered the breakfast bowl sans feta and with spiced chicken and dressing on the side as I like to have less dressing with my salads. I have to say my biggest pet peeve is dry chicken so when I first saw the bowl I was a little underwhelmed...but after taking the first bite I was very surprised! The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender, lightly spiced. Lemon vinaigrette was not overpoweringly citrusy too even though I added most of the dressing!! Only thing is, I'm what one might call a certified big back and was pretty hungry and hoping for a hearty serving, but unfortunately wasn't completely satisfied after my meal. I wish their portion size was a bit bigger. Would definitely order again though! I also ordered a matcha latte with simple syrup. Came in on a reservation on Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy but it's definitely understaffed. The staff is very friendly but just too busy to be checking up on you. My friend and I both got the BL burrito but mine looked drastically different (granted they did forget her order so they made it look nice to make up for it). The pictures I took is exactly how it arrived. It was quite plain and nothing special especially considering the price point- would not order again. The food here is very good. Our party was for 6 people and it was our second visit. I loved my avocado toast. It was customized with my favorite cheese. The bread was so fresh and healthy with a brown crust. I also ordered a Hibiscus Ice tea that was refreshing. Unfortunately the service was spotty and most of the time one of us had to get up and find our server. We also ordered some drip coffee and americanos which were great - love the coffee they have. We were seated right away and provided water. Ordered the brekki avocado toast and lemon ricotta pancake with a side of bacon. ordered an 8 ounce flat white and 12 ounce mocha. the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a poached egg is generous and quite filling. same with the lemon pancake. very fluffy with a perfect passionfruit curd that is both tart and sweet. served with some fresh, sweet berries and came with maple syrup. all of it was delicious. The 3 stars is that the coffees were just meh. The mocha had good quality chocolate, not to bitter nor too sweet, though i couldn't taste an espresso or coffee. it was like high end hot chocolate. The flat white was ok. it also was the last item to come out when we ordered, which is a little surprising as typically most places bring the drinks out right away. the side of bacon was disappointing and not worth getting. service is friendly though they are busy and they had one server for a fairly large area to cover. super underwhelming experience at bluestone lane. my friend had to use her $100 resy credit so we decided to check this place out. they told people in front of us that they dont take walk ins because they are understaffed so they only take reservations. not all tables were seated when we walked in but it took a while to get our orders taken. we ordered two BL burritos, one lemon ricotta pancake, and the mushroom grilled cheese w/ side of halloumi. half our order came and after 10 mins I asked the server where the other half was and they forgot to put the other half of our order in??? was super confusing. the first burrito we got was sooo disappointing lacked flavor and was thrown on a plate. the second burrito that came like 15 mins after the first burrito was completely different. they brought out sauces and the burrito actually had some flavor. not sure if they put extra effort because they forgot to bring it out which they did comp, but the difference in quality of the same dish was crazy. the lemon ricotta pancake was just a pancake nothing special. the pumpkin spice latte had no pumpkin taste and needed an extra espresso shot. starbucks is better. the lot is small so recommend parking in the parking lot across from the restaurant. cute vibes but honestly don't recommend. this honestly deserved a 2, but i gave them a 3 because they comped the late burrito order and were nice. read more

My wife really enjoyed her pumpkin spice latte, and the espresso itself was smooth and well balanced, so the coffee and overall vibe were definitely the highlight of the visit. The food felt more on the fast casual side than what the stylish café setting would lead you to expect. The BL Burrito looked appealing at first, but most of the filling was actually potato wedges, so it felt lighter on the other ingredients than I expected. The Smoked Chicken & Greens Salad had chicken with a soft, pre-cooked or canned texture rather than a freshly grilled feel. The potato wedges had good seasoning, though they seemed like they had been sitting warm for a while. The side pancakes were fluffy but not very warm and the flavor was pretty mild. I ordered the granola/avocado toast combo, which was great for me but the price tag of $19, didn't really justify the amount of serving but I guess that may be a fair price these days!!! We visited on a Saturday morning and noticed plenty of open tables both inside and outside. Since we had a toddler with us, we asked for an outdoor table, but were told those were reserved. When we then requested a booth indoors, that too was denied for the same reason. Strangely, during the 45m-1hr we were there, none of those "reserved" tables were ever occupied--they remained empty the entire time. To add to the frustration, another family who arrived after us was seated outdoors without issue. The experience felt disheartening and, frankly, discriminatory. I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Blue Lavender Matcha Cloud! I loved how the pancakes were presented. They came on a compact wooden board, with the syrup served on the side and the pancakes placed in a small iron skillet. The pancakes were very fluffy and soft! It was topped with berries, a tasty ricotta and lemon glaze mix and I covered it with syrup. The pancakes were a little small but actually filled me up fast. I also ordered the Blue Lavender Matcha Cloud but I couldn't really taste the Lavender and Matcha as much. We added on our names to the waitlist but waited about 45 minutes for a text back but never got one until we checked back in and they realized they forgot about us. We check in with the host and host gets us seated in five minutes; they had to clear off a table and the patrons had just left. I'd like to point out this table is literally in the middle of the restaurant. Host led us to the table and there is nothing on the table after they cleaned it up; all other vacant tables waiting for their future patrons all had utensil sets. You'd think they'd lead us in after getting the table, right? This is only the beginning. We sat down and looked over the menu. There was a waitress nearby cleaning tables and we kindly asked them to come over when they had the chance to because we had some questions. She eventually came by and actually offered to take our order so that we didn't have to order through the site. We submitted our order and started chatting. 10, 15, 20 minutes go by. Every other vacant table I saw had utensil sets. When they welcomed new patrons, they'd also immediately be given a bottle of water and cups. I thought it was weird we literally were not given anything yet and we were sat in the middle of the place, and went up to the front and asked for a couple of sets of utensils. Another five minutes go by and I call on a nearby waiter and asked him if he could get us a bottle of water. I was told sure and he proceeded to go over to the next table and grab their order. I was thinking umm...ok... another five minutes had past and i decided to go, again, by myself to the front counter to ask for a bottle of water. They bring us the bottle and I guess they didn't notice we had no cups? This time, another member from my table went to grab some cups. We literally had to do everything ourselves and for some odd reason, the other parties started out with a full table of utensils and had a bottle of water placed on their table within five minutes of them being sat. Oh, also, the kitchen screwed up on part of our order, one of our dishes literally made a whole circle around the restaurant and we had to call the waitress and let them know it was our dish. The kitchen had *somehow* written down the wrong table # when the rest of our dishes arrived in a timely manner. The greens that were available? barely a pinch, if a dish came with it. If I had feedback for management, it would really be please be more on top of how the restaurant operates. I'm writing this as genuine feedback. Patrons shouldn't have to wait 20+ minutes and ask for water and utensils. Every table had utensils after previous patrons left and tables were prepped for next patrons. Every group was given water minutes after they sat down. We had to ask for both. We have been coming from since before covid and the first time was amazing, hence we came back time and time again but unfortunately, each time every single time has been pure disappointment. It's perhaps a top notch cafe for dessert and coffee (their coffee is decent), but for an actual sit down meal with the family and/or friends? We would choose other restaurants in the area. We could barely fit our plates, let alone enjoy our meal. And even after all that waiting, we sat there with no water for another 20 minutes until the server finally noticed. It felt like we were invisible. But the worst part? You're required to place your order AND pay -- including tips -- before they even start serving you. So essentially, you are tipping for service you haven't received yet... and as it turns out, won't receive at all.
