    Build Your Own Salad
    Heather Violet B.

I work near this place and got it for lunch recently. The menu caught my eye as there are several options for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free folks, as well as meat eaters like myself. Since I order catering for my office from time to time, for different events I'm always on the look out for fresh options. I ordered the build your own salad. Lots of good options for salad toppings as well as the base, protein options and delicious sounding dressing options! (I'm looking at you next Mr. lemon vinaigrette!) I got the Carne Mechado (Venezuelian Shredded Beef) as a protein topper and it was so good! Super flavorful! The sesame-ginger dressing is also really good. Super happy with my meal and can't wait to try other options. They offer breakfast and lunch with a bunch of items with a Valenzuela twist. Service thru Door Dash was super fast and easy. Happy I found this little cafe!

I had a business meeting here this week and had a good experience. Good drink and snack options. I was a little confused by the location initially. There's not much parking right by it, but there is a larger underground parking lot behind it that you can use. It appears to be part of an apartment complex.

Artisan coffees, fresh food and welcoming atmosphere make Coupa Cafe a special place to seek out. I don't normally drink mochas but I will make an exception for Coupa's Spicy Mocha. On this visit, I tried the tasty breakfast tacos and I've enjoyed the arepas on previous visits.

Location is nice with free underground retail parking. If you need a high chair, it's not readily available. I happened to ask the staff and they kindly brought one out from the back. Food took a while to come out. Just over 25 minutes. We don't believe the food is worth the price. My husband said his French Toast was plain. There wasn't much batter absorbed and bland. With possibly the equivalent of a single strawberry on top for $13. Pass. My toddler's quesadilla was tiny. I don't think it's worth $7. On the bright side, I enjoyed the Breakfast Crepe. It wasn't filled to the edge but surprisingly I got full. The touch of guasacaca adds a delicious zing. The Tiger Spice chai was also delicious. Overall it doesn't seem like a go-to breakfast cafe for us. I'll drop by for more drinks though!

Nicely tucked away a luxury condo building's ground floor right off El Camino, Coupa Cafe has a lively and casual vibe with a constant stream of patrons coming in for lunch, work, and conversation. There are ample places to sit inside with the cavernous ceilings and outside with the open sky and hustle and bustle of El Camino. Service was good considering it was a one man show holding down the for. The chai was great topped with a very frothy and light foam. I appreciate the "to stay" option translating into ceramic cups for eco friendly purposes.

Coupa cafe has some of the best chai I've ever tried! I went for the sweeter option, although they have different kinda. It was amazing in my dirty chai latte and I was tempted by the array of sweet treats they had available. I spend the day studying here and really enjoyed all of the natural light and pleasant ambiance. The parking is a little hard to find because of the location but it's worth it!

I was in the area waiting for Chef Chu's to open for lunch. A quick Yelp search for coffee and this cafe popped up. I think it's deja vu or not, but I could've sworn I was here before. That's why I upload a ton of photos to document and remember that I've been to this and that place. I just wanted a large cup of the Deluxious Dark Mocha as requested by my wife for the drive back to Sacramento. There were two manning the counter and I could've sworn one of them took a break as we were queued for ordering. After 5 minutes or so, I was finally able to get my single order in and waited. There was more waiting for my coffee as they had a lot of orders ahead of me. The smell of the beans being grounded and brewed was just teasing my thirst for the java. It was a wait of about 30 more minutes, but the brew was worth it. It's good I wasn't in a hurry and a lot of photos were snapped during this idle time.

Came here yesterday and today before my Kindbody appointment (it's right next to it). It's a nice cafe that has yummy food and drinks. Parking is convenient too. There is an underground parking structure for retail. I ordered the vegan plate and that was a great lunch before my appointment and then I came back this morning for a matcha latte with almond milk and a croissant sandwich. Both really good and I'd order it again. Matcha latte was on the sweeter side but not too sweet for me. The sandwich was simple but delicious! Yesterday and today's guests both have a lot of people on their laptop and working remotely. Similar vibes to any other coffee shop.

Breakfast arepa Carne mechada arepa Venezuelan Latte Modern and yet relaxing spot to hang out -- either for coffee, food or ambience. The vaulted ceilings give it a spacious feel. Breakfast arepa This was delicious. The cheese was flavorful and complimented the egg, bacon and the cornmeal arepa well. Carne mechada arepa Not sure if this is the authentic style, though I found the meat to be a tad tough -- though it did fall off the bone.

I have passed this place so many times as it's across the street to the San Antonio Shopping Center. I thought it was just a coffee shop, but their menu has salads, burgers, tacos, quesadillas and more. I only had time to grab a hot chocolate to go. They have two types of hot chocolates available. I ordered the Delicious Dark Hot Chocolate, which really was delicious. I hope to try the Spicy Maya Hot Chocolate next time.

Date of visit 12/5/23 This was my first visit to this beautiful cafe in Los Altos. The cafe was decorated with Christmas decorations and looked very clean. I saw many people working and some catching up with friends. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for a catch-up with friends over coffee. Although I found the food to be slightly expensive, I believe that's because I'm comparing the prices in California to the prices I'm used to paying in Maryland. Regardless, the egg scramble I ordered was totally worth it. I also tried the Vietnamese coffee (cold brew) and liked it, even though I'm not really a fan of cold coffee. One thing that the cafe can improve upon is when I asked for recommendations (since this was my first time here) the customer usually expects to hear about the most popular drink or the barista's favorite, and I didn't get a clear answer for this!

Coupa Cafe serves breakfasts the whole day and it's awesome! There is a big variety of things you can have for breakfast: from waffles and pancakes to sandwiches and bagels. Location is very good too, as there are grocery shops, nice neighborhoods close by. Staff is super nice. There are tables inside and outside. You make an order at the register and pay right away. I ordered waffle with strawberries, banana and Nutella and my friend ordered oven roasted turkey panini, that goes with salad. Food was good. The portions were giant and even 1 item would be enough for two people. Cappuccino had a tasty milky foam but coffee was bitter.

Updating my previous review after trying new items. FOOD [4/5] ----------- + Strazza Crepe [4/5] Super sweet and typical rendition of a strawberry crepe. They give lots and lots of strawberries! I liked the whipped cream too. :) + Breakfast Wrap [5/5] This was SO good for the price! And it was super delicious. The wrap was warm, balanced very well with veggies and meat, and the sauce is to die for! + Mango Smoothie [4/5] A pretty good smoothie! A little more on the expensive side.

I ordered it because of fellow yelper said it wasn't as heavy as others and they didn't like masa so I got a tamale. omg! this tamalia is fantastic. it's the lightest masa I've ever had and I've lived in Mexico. I don't know how they do it. very delicious! if you even kind of like tamales order one of these off the appetizer menu it's a go-to. I got the chicken one and I put a little green salsa on it and it's heaven show. then I got the pachucho, one pavel and one steak. it's the second paville I've had on my trip here and what made this one. fantastic is the base of this is what pabile needs and they hit everything right with the case of fresco the onions. it could have used a few more onions, but every bite was like heaven. The steak was delish, very tender but I'm going to go back to the pibil every time. the base of these panchcos is kind of new to me. I don't know that it's Mayan Mexican or maybe El Salvadorian or maybe a creation of their own. they're delish. I received a small little container of green sauce and it was delicious as well

However, a staff member named Viri intervened and insisted we be seated at a different table. When I requested a different location, I was told it was unavailable due to other reservations. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I am familiar with how reservation systems function; I noted that the restaurant remained largely empty during our visit. At one point, we were even asked to vacate a table we had sat down at before eventually being placed near the hostess station. I am bringing this to your attention because I felt our treatment was inconsistent with standard hospitality. The restaurant was very pretty, with a sleek and floral theme. Also, I noticed some herby smell which was pleasant so extra hats off to that detail. I placed a reservation of 5 at 7:45 pm on a Friday night with me and my family, and we had no issues getting to our table. We were a bit late, however staff made sure that we get seated in no time. Once we got sat down, we got our menus and took some time to decide what to order. Our amazing friend and waitress Elizabeth made sure to give us time to thoroughly look through the menu and decide on what we were going to eat. She was very friendly and caring, and was so excited to take our order, which elevated her experience. Her suggestions were perfect for our family. We ordered the Mixto Clásico ceviche, 2 orders of truffle mac and cheese, Arroz Con Mariscos, Pollo A La Brasa (Half chicken), Beef Anticuchero Roll, and Lengua a La Parilla. In five minutes, the staff already brought the ceviche, which included calamari, fish, veggies, and the taro chips. It was refreshing and citrusy. After we finished that , then another 3 minutes goes by, and everything arrived. I was so shocked on how fast they serve especially because of how busy they were. All the dishes were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The mac was so creamy, cheesy, and delectable especially because of the truffles. The pollo a la brasa was cooked nice and tender, served with fries, and that yellow sauce was addicting, literally ON CRACK. The lengua was great, the mashed potatoes along with the lengua, shrimp, and spicy sauce gave it texture and flavor. The nikkei beef antichchuero roll I was surprised with. Sushi in a Peruvian restaurant? However, I did not expect to be one of the best and interesting rolls I have tried ever. The arroz con mariscos was my favorite by far. It really reminds me of a Spanish paella, with a seafood galore presented with a bed of rice and veggies. It was very filling and delicious. Of course, we couldn't just end there, we obviously had to go for dessert. We chose the Tres Leches cake, and it was presented with chocolate, caramel, and strawberry sauce which was sweet and smooth. Paired with the cake, it was so good and a genius combination. In the end, when leaving, our staff asked us if we needed any extra help with anything before we left, which was a very kind gesture. When we left, the staff kindly greeted us a warm goodbye, and thanked Elizabeth especially for helping us order these great assortments of dishes. In the end, we left with our stomachs full of food and great memories. I am already looking forward to my next visit here, and please, give this Peruvian spot a try, because you will never go back to any other ones besides this spot.

Well - the last review I wrote for this place was in 2012 and consistency is key with this place!!…read more We brought friends here for lunch and they really loved the food and I suspect they will be back with their family! :) Hubby and I started our meal sharing the Plantain Crusted Goat Cheese Salad - AMAZING and DELICIOUS!! Two disks of goat cheese is coated with this crunchy plantain crust - so when you cut into it the goat cheese melts out gooey - then you take a piece and eat it with the salad greens which are PERFECTLY dressed (cause I HATE over dressed salads) - it was creamy, crunchy, and AMAZING. This is definitely a great way to start our food adventure!! I just HAD to get my Arzzo con Pollo and I'm SO GLAD I did - it did not disappoint - exactly as I remembered it over a decade. Definitely need to come back here more often! Chicken so tender, rice so flavorful - with the sweet baked plantains and that delicious sauce. Flavor bomb in the mouth for SURE!!! I know other dishes here are good too but I honestly crave this one.... Hubby and GF had the Tierra y Mar. I snuck some of the sofrito mashed potatoes off hubby's plate - it's SO GOOD... i could eat a whole bowl of just that!! And then there's the delicious tender and perfectly cooked marinated skirt steak! YUM... The coconut crusted shrimp was delicious as well but I feel like it was a bit over cooked - I mostly tasted the coconut crust. Hubby LOVED the asparagus - just the perfect accompaniment to the overall dish! Hubby and GF both LOVED this dish!! GF hubby got the lunch appetizer specials - he got the CdP Snack (Chicharrones de Pollo - appetizer side of their popcorn chicken with Cuban spices), the Camerones Pequenos (fried shrimp) and their side Coleslaw. He devoured everything and loved it. We ended our meal with their Key Lime Tart and it was delicious. Not too tart, not too sweet - a perfect bite! Overall we had an amazing time. The only thing that struck me was at lunch they aren't as careful about things - like for some reason we had to eat our main course meals with a salad/dessert fork and butter knife. Hubby wasn't pleased with the fork so he got a regular fork - and then when we got our steak and chicken we couldn't cut them with the butter knife and had to chase down our waiter for steak knives. I remember when we used to go for dinner - they automatically gave us the right utensils with the meal. That did take away a bit from the overall experience when you can't cut your meat and have to chase down the waiter... But overall the staff cleared plates, made sure our water was filled at all times and was overall courteous. Am definitely coming back and THANK YOU again for making sure my cravings were fulfilled and the food was EXACTLY as I remembered it!

Everyone else we interacted with was fantastic, and the food itself was delicious. I've been here countless times as I work across the street and I've never had any issues. Setting that aside, here's what happened. My group was meeting another company for a lunch they had organized, and going in, we didn't know who we were meeting, who the reservation might be under, or if there even was one -- think of it like a corporate blind date. When we approached the host stand, we gave a few names we thought a reservation might be under and were upfront and apologetic that we weren't sure, but were trying to figure it out together. Lara's response was to ask, in an unbelievably condescending tone, if this was our "first time at a restaurant." She then pointed to a corporate group on the patio and said, "why don't you ask them? You're adults." Once we found our group, we came back inside to ask about getting a larger table for six. The person who'd organized the lunch apologized and explained he hadn't realized he needed a reservation as he didn't know how many would attend the lunch. Lara told him that was "restaurant 101" and that they had no tables available for a party of six (despite the interior being completely empty from what we could see). A few minutes later, other staff pushed two tables together -- clearly we were not the first party of six to ever eat here. After scanning other Yelp reviews, there are some going back over a decade (!) talking about how rude and condescending Lara is. I'm sorry to report things haven't changed.

Having been to Puebla before and being an ultra fan of mole poblano (negro), I'm always on the lookout for quality spots and this one delivered... So so flavorful! I never thought I would be able to tell but now it's night and day... My eyes are opened Something for everyone here to love!

I remember going to my Freshman and Sophmore years in HS with the girl whose family owns this place. I try to return when I am in downtown Mt View, Back in the 1990s when I lived nearby on Calderon I would come in here all the time, it was a quick walk, like 50 yards, if even. The place is spotless like usual, very friendly and attentive staff. I like all the decorations that they have up. Makes you feel like you are in Mexico somewhere. We arrived early and the outside and main dining area were jammed packed. I took pictures of the back room where the rest rooms are so you can see the great art work. By 7pm, it was complelty full. Had the Mole Enchilladas and it was very good. By the time you have the tortilla chips and chile and whatever you are drinking, you get filled up. Anyways as always...Gracias to La Fiesta and to you...Buen Provecho!

Very solid taqueria featuring some of the best pupusas in the area…read more Today I had a pupusa revuelta (cheese, chicharrón, and beans) and another with carne asada and cheese. Both are hand-made to order with fresh masa and come out so hot you're gonna want to let them sit for a minute before digging in, if you can restrain yourself. The revuelta pupusa has a soft and flavorful filling that comes together kind of like cheesy frijoles charros. It's kind of the classic pupusa filling and I think for good reason. The smooth and well-mixed filling ensure every bite has masa, each element of the filling, and ideally a healthy pile of curtido and salsa. The asada pupusa is a little bit more of a novelty, but the asada itself is solid and I like the variety of having different feelings to work with. If this is your first time here, I recommend going with the asada. My only critique of these pupusas, which is a critique of pupusas I have in general, is that they could use a little more filling, particularly around the edges where the bites can be kind of masa heavy. Pro tips: they just got kiosks for ordering and you won't see a pupusa with asada on there as an option, but you can do so if you order at the register. By default, pupusas come with a traditional thin tomato sauce that isn't spicy, but I always ask them for the salsa they bring out when you get chips instead. It's chunkier, spicier, and slightly more acidic and I think it pairs better with the pupusas. I ask for this and plenty of curtido when I order takeout from here.

There were a lot of complaints about service but no complaints about food so we decided to try it out. Ordered 4 chicharron pupusas and one carnitas taco. Just ordered the taco because I am a deep deep lover of carnitas and I wanted to try it. Under $25. The place was packed with all Latinos ... first good sign. Lots of the complaints were about timely-ness, and I say to those people, relax. Everybody was working super hard and fast, and it is just really busy at lunch. It takes a little time to get your food, but it was absolutely worth it. these might be the best pupusas I've ever had. They brought out three salsas for us, and I was partial to the green. The pupusas were chock full of cheese and chicharron to the rims. Fried perfectly. The carnitas taco was amazing! The pork was so crispy and delicious. As to the service, ours was great. The tables were all full, but a couple of guys said we could sit at their table because they had two empty seats. Thank you! A young person with bleached hair wearing a baseball cap (sorry I should've asked your name) was really attentive. He cleaned our table and brought us ice water. I can't wait to go back! I will be getting more pupusas, and my mom wants all carnitas tacos all day.

I was here for an art show last night, but honestly? The food ended up being the masterpiece. We essentially tried to defeat the menu and the menu won. 10/10, no notes. The Highlights: Hawaiian Sliders: Absolutely bomb. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about them 24 hours later. Crispy Quesatacos with Chicken Tinga: Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. It's hard to find chicken Tinga in a crispy Quesataco this authentic in a pop-up setting, but they nailed it flavor bomb Pupusas & Tacos: My friend and I went in on these and they did not disappoint. The pupusa was thick, cheesy, and had that perfect crisp on the outside. The Verdict: There wasn't a single miss on the menu. I even grabbed an extra haul to take home to my husband--usually, "to-go" food loses its soul on the car ride home, but he was obsessed. I'm already checking their schedule to see where they'll be next. If you want to eat the best food in San Francisco right now, this is it.

They have an enticing cocktail menu (most are $17) but my partner and I went for the sangria ($10) because of the price difference. The sangria was delicious and refreshing, with a little bit of carbonation. The crispy bites appetizer (crispy rice topped with a little avocado and tuna) was yummy, but I do think there could have been more tuna. I loved my lomo saltado. Big chunks of cooked red onion paired perfectly with steak and fries. I loved the sauce it came in, and surprisingly loved soaking my fries in it even though it was wetter. My partner loved his dish as well (arroz con mariscos) and said it was generous with seafood portions. Definitely a splurge, but a delicious one!

As for the experience, it was pretty straightforward (a good thing, the same way a 5* Uber ride is your driver not saying anything but taking you comfortably from point A to B). We ordered several dishes to share, and I did have an idea of what to expect from what I already saw online. The ambience was quite comfortable, and the food arrived quickly and without issues. We had no real complaints about the dishes. They all tasted excellent, and plated well. The meat was tender, and my favorite was probably what looked to me like a seafood paella. Portions were of reasonable size, and everything tasted great. Honestly there isn't too much to say, other than the food tastes like what you'd expect from these photos: delicious. Definitely a restaurant to revisit.
