Cute, quaint diner! Great breakfast! Service with a smile! I'm not a big cheese fan, so I love the "Oh My Gosh! Breakfast" minus the green peppers. The Chicken and Waffle is excellent too! It comes with sausage gravy and syrup! Yum! They have daily specials and Benedict's too! Fritter French toast is a must too! Jam is homemade! Love the 50's decor! I've been coming here for years and I'm never disappointed.

Food and service both great!! Waitress Morgan was very prompt and made us feel at home. They had a full restaurant that her and her co worker Desiree juggled helping each other out back and forth beautifully. Thank you guys so much and we will definitely be back

I like this place. it is quaint, it is clean, the staff is nice, and the food is honest. Nothing stands out per se; it is well-made food at a fair price and ever so tasty. We had a group of four hear for lunch. Any place that serves breakfast throughout the day is already my favorite place. I opted for the chicken and waffles. The waffles were perfect. Crispy outside and tender inside. In my opinion, this is the best of both worlds, of sweet waffles and maple syrup and the savory of the chicken and the sausage gravy. They even cut up the chicken just like my mom would do in my youth :) Others had the sizable egg sandwich with hashbrowns. I tried the hashbrowns, and they were pretty good. This place is on the other side of the metro for me, but I will certainly hit it up if I am down there.

    The "Mess"

Cahill Diner was an unexpected surprise. I wet for breakfast and had the Mess. A wonderful plate of hash browns scrambled eggs, green peppers, ham, bacon and hollandaise sauce accompanied by sour dough toast. Service was superior. Prices were reasonable. The cafe itself is decorated in a 1950's theme. A must stop by for anyone close to the area.

Food was good but the place was dirty. Restrooms were very dirty and it looked like they hadn't swept the main dining area.

Service here is friendly and prompt. The Denver omelet was enough to share and the coffee hit the spot. I'll go back on my next visit.

We went for dinner and I was very impressed with their wide selection. I got the dill pickle chicken sandwich and thought the chicken sandwich was really crispy and I really liked their aioli with my fries. I didn't really taste the dill of the pickle spread, however, if you want the dill you can get the dill pickle pizza which one of our friends got and really enjoyed. Husband got the Bacon Patty Melt and he enjoyed it and our other friend got one of the dishes from the tacos, bowls and naan section, which we discovered you can get any of those made as those three options, which I thought was such a cool way to make the menu fit everyone. I actually didn't have any beer but I did have a couple cocktails off the spring cocktail menu and loved both. My friends really enjoyed the Lime Bubble beer and were excited they could buy some to bring back to Wisconsin. The server was the right amount of attentive, we ate inside and I like the mix of restaurant and brewery vibe they had going on. Will definitely go back.

The interior is giving industrial sports bar vibes, with TVs playing your favorite game, and wood/metal accents throughout the space. Bar, hightop, and table seating indoors. We didn't have a wait at 6pm on a Saturday evening. Staff was busy, but checked in often and were friendly throughout the stay! Lots of beer options, as well as a full bar! I had the Coffee Ale, which was lovely! Subtle notes of coffee in a smooth sipper. Enjoyed the Dill Pickle Chicken Sandwich for dinner, which was a great portion, savory, and delicious. Overall, a really solid meal! Our only constructive criticism was that the Onion Soup that my partner ordered came out luke warm, which was less than desirable. If we wanted to make a fuss, we could have sent it back, but decided against that!

WOWOWOW this place never disappoints, SO GOOD!…read more Today we sat on their rooftop patio, which was perfectly shaded and such a great spot to relax on a nice day. We did wait downstairs for around 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us, then told us we could just head up.. it was a bit odd. As a vegetarian, I'm constantly searching for a genuinely good veggie burger, and I truly think I've found the best one in Minneapolis here. Soo many restaurants treat vegetarian options like an afterthought, but definitely not B-52. I ordered the veggie burger on the Trashy with fried pickles and cream cheese, and it was AMAZING. Seriously one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, vegetarian or not. I also ordered an espresso martini and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Between the rooftop patio, creative menu, and standout vegetarian options, this place has quickly become one of our favorites. Already looking forward to coming back again when we're in the area.

The metal chairs were a bit loud to push in and out from the tables but fairly comfortable and wide to sit in. Easy to find seating on a Tuesday lat afternoon/evening. Our server was nice and let us know about the specialties of the day. We went for the $5 spicy margaritas. They were okay. Tasted a little watered down and not too spicy, which I'd say were all in all not so exciting. We had the lemon pepper chicken wings which had good flavor but felt dry. My beet salad was unimpressive. I'd even say it lacked a decent amount of beets. Where were the beets?!!? My boyfriend had the B52 burger which he really enjoyed but felt was a tad spicy from all of the jalapeño, but once he removed those from it, he was very pleased. Our service was a little slower that I would have liked. I would have ordered another drink had she came back to our table and asked us.

I would literally shut down for a weekend and higher better servers or just train everyone so much more... It took a straight hour I mean a full hour to get a fried chicken sandwich and a burger with some cheese curds-that is crazy guys. Our server just seemed really uncomfortable and out of sorts. It felt super awkward. The old place was so much better!! I understand wanting a bigger location and I was excited because I'm in Hastings a lot and yes, you did need more space but we literally compromised service for space and that's not sustainable in a restaurant. I really hope this gets fixed because this place was a gem! My husband and I loved it. We would go all the time and get burgers and fried chicken sandwiches for like the last three years. I was excited over being in a bigger location, but yeah, the service was so awful and the food took so incredibly long that it just put a huge cloud over the whole experience. Also my loaded fries--the cheese wasn't even melted. Like, how could you even send that over to the table? I hope you guys do a lot more training and get people up to speed. There's no way I could come back after what I just experienced maybe in a few more months when people are more trained that was super frustrating. I also feel sorry for all the veterans and good old boys that used to go there every day. The old place had a way better vibe to it. This feels chaotic like people are confused. You have a whole bunch of staff that don't know what they're doing now and it's super noticeable. Fried chicken was delicious as always, but boy did I pay for it. Honestly, the wait time was just the worst part. That's my main complaint a full and I mean I'm not exaggerating here--an entire hour for one burger and one fried chicken sandwich that's insane and they didn't even offer to take anything off when it was all over. $90 for this experience and it was really frustrating. It was sad to us too because this used to be one of our favorite spots. Super bummed.
