Grace was our waitstaff tonight and was upbeat and attentive, as are all the staff we've had. It's a small-ish restaurant/bar combo with a huge outdoor patio. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

The steak was obviously fresh. It was maybe cut a bit thicker and coarser than many places. My preference would be a touch thinner. I also could have used a bit more seasoning on the steak itself.
