Lived by this location for 2 years and always thought about coming in but never got around to it. Boy, what a mistake that was. The food here is all so fresh and the staff is very kind. We came in on Mother's Day and it was fairly busy but still got serviced rather quickly. The dining room is surprisingly good size, despite how it looks from the outside. Ordered food for my dad who was admitted to the VA hospital, this was the closest option for catfish. I pulled up and it was dark from the outside I thought they were closed. Walked in only one couple were eating, and there were a few kids at the bar top area. I paid for the order since I placed it over the phone and it was $25 for three pieces of fish, fries, and a drink. Once my father tore a piece of the fish off it was slimy. We've been ordering from here for months, but here's what we found. We ordered our food at 8:30 and we stopped going to other places because we had water in our bag so tonight we order from here and what do you know we have watery seasoning so there's no sauce but because they're an hour away from closing and they want to sell they put water in our seasoning so it's disgusting. A surprisingly nice sit down restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall next to Walmart. I didnt know what to expect when we decided to try this place. I honestly thought it would be a tiny to go type restaurant with a few tables. I was wrong! Walking in, I was blown away by how nicely decorated and cute this place was. It was simple yet very nice. I was happy that this part of town got a decent place for couples to go on dates. Reviewing the menu it seemed to be an Asian/Cajun fusion. They had seafood boils on one side of the menu and on the other side there was an array of sushi's. They offered gumbo soup and miso. I forgot our waitresses name but she was great! Very tentative and took good care of us. Always smiling. She made our meal more pleasant. We ordered a spam masubi and combo 2 with the house special sauce in mild. My husband being a big super spice fan wanted to try the hottest sauce but we were informed getting that on the side would cost and additional 7 dollars. I thought that was a bit ridiculous, personally. Everything came out very quickly and was piping hot. The masubi was good. The boil was good. The seasoning was decent. The only issue I had is the meat in the lobster tail and crab legs didn't pull out how they should have. It was stuck to the shell. Possibly overcooked. I feel like a lot was wasted due to not being able to retrieve the meat how you normally would be able to. The cost is a little less expensive than other restaurants that are similar. I only deducted a star due to the overcooked meat and the inability to get a small side of a different sauce for a reasonable price. It was good and if I'm back in this area I would come back and try some other stuff. read more

We got the house blend in the spiciest and it was great. Our server was very nice and attentive. Now onto to the actual food. The egg, corn, & potatoes were good in my boil, but the snow crab and mussels were honestly not good. Out of the lb. of mussels I got, only half were edible. I came on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere was--perfect for enjoying some good food without the noise or crowds. Nice addition to the North side of town. I called to make a reservation and glad we were able to get a table at the time we wanted. No reservation was needed. We were a table for 9, and since I did call in, they had a table ready for us. They were not busy at all, but later in the night when we were done eating, they did get a little busier. Service was meh. I ordered a glass of wine and she forgot about it. I walked up to the counter where they were standing and asked about my wine. If I'm not mistaken, buy one glass and get another free. Food: Garlic Noodles 1 lb Snow Crab with 1/2 order of sausage with Mild House Special Mild Sauce. The garlic noodles were delicious and cooked perfectly. I could eat a whole order for myself. The crab legs were also good. It wasn't overcooked. I wish I had added spice to it. Next time, I will. We all got our order, and unfortunately, one of our kids did not get his order, and he ordered chicken wings. We were almost done when he got his order. For years, I've been going to Hot n Juicy, Boiling Crab, and Pier 88. It's nice to have a Cajun shrimp boil place nearby. We went here for dinner on a Friday and were surprised it wasn't packed. Because all the places I've mentioned, they're always packed especially on Friday nights during Lent and the wait can be discouraging. Another reason to come here! However, they have lots of to-go orders lined up at the bar. So, of course, we got seated right away and handed the menus. I took a picture of the board with the market prices for different items. The restaurant has a nautical theme with a lifesaver and a shark head on the wall. They have TV's. The big TV has a playlist set to '90's and 2000's RnB covers. On the menu, they have shrimp, crab legs, lobster, lobster tail, mussels, crawfish and clams by the pound or half pound or as combo with sauce options of garlic butter, New Orleans Cajun, House Special and lemon pepper with your choice of spice levels (no spice, mild, medium, tongue on fire aka spicy). They have appetizers such as hush puppies, fries, calamari, fried soft shell crab, fried oysters, fried shrimp, chicken wings, garlic noodles, garlic bread, edamame, and fried oysters. Po boy sandwiches, sides, ice cream, beer, wine, Coke products, raspberry iced tea. Cajun Fries: Huge portion definitely shareable. Hot fries with Cajun seasoning. Lightly crunchy exterior and fluffy on the inside. 4/5 Fried Calamari: Also huge portion. The batter has cornmeal and you can feel the slight grittiness in your mouth. Good flavor and the cocktail sauce was quite good. 4/5 Crab Legs: I typically get garlic butter in mild or medium for shrimp, lobster tails, and crab legs. I got my bag and I could see the sauce was yellow from the garlic butter. Typically, mild garlic butter is orange in color. I tasted it and it lacked flavor so, I nicely asked our server if they can add more spice and seasoning. Easy fix! And it was good. I was given a seafood cracker, bib, and a pair of plastic gloves but no bucket for shells and no crab sheller/ pick which made it hard to get the crab meat. 3/5 Soft Shell Po Boy: You get two soft shell crabs in this po boy with remoulade, tomato slices, lettuce, and cucumber. It comes with a side of fries (regular, Cajun or sweet potato). 4/5 I normally get iced tea but they don't have regular iced tea so, I got soda instead. I must say their sodas were flat. No flavor, no carbonation. The service was good. Our server was attentive. Overall, I find Cajun Crack'n just ok. Finally stopped in to try Cajun Crackin! We got here on a Friday night around 7 and there wasn't many people in. It did start to pick up shortly after we arrived. The space is really nice and there is plenty of seating. It is a seat yourself restaurant and the staff are quick to come greet you with menus. I believe our waitress was Niya (pardon if I spelled and got the name wrong). She was amazing! She had such great energy and checked in us periodically! I love how the menu offers a variety of meals. This time I chose to get the hush puppies, French Kiss sushi, and I built my own boil bag and added 1/2 lb of Dungeness crab and 1/2 lb of Shrimp with no spice and the mix sauce. My fiancé ordered the combo #2 with the Cajun sauce at tongue torch spice. The hush puppies were really good! Nicely seasoned and perfectly crispy on the outside. The inside was a bit too mushy for my personal preference but enjoyable nonetheless. I did not really enjoy the French Kiss sushi. It had a citrus taste to it, and I personally don't like citrus flavors in my savory food. The seafood boil was okay. With the 1/2 lb I got one cluster of the Dungeness crab and about 10 shrimps. It also came with 2 corns and 2 potato's. The crab was good and the shrimp were really big but a bit overcooked for my liking. I took my potato skin off the potato because it didn't taste like it was cleaned. Still had that dirt potato taste to it. The sauce itself lacked flavor for me. It was supposed to be a mix of all the sauces, so the Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper. I didn't really taste any of those flavors. I did taste my fiancés and it had flavor, but I mainly tasted cayenne pepper with the tongue torch spice level. They also have a buy one get one special on beer and wine until December! I am so disappointed in this place. The food is actually decent but the service? Terrible! I've never felt so disrespected in an establishment! My husband & I came here to eat around 8:20 pm on a Friday night, mind you they close at 10 pm. TEN PM! They don't greet us at all, they just ask if we're here for dine in or take out. We say we want to be seated. The host then mumbles under here breath & says again, "so take out"? I then ask what time they close. She proceeds to say 10:00. Finally we are seated. We sat there for 5-10 mins before them coming to ask what we want to order. At this point I feel discriminated against so I'm unsure if we even still want to still eat there. I ask for a water. The waitress says okay the kitchen closes soon and rushes me to order. I ask what time does it close? They say 9:30. That's an hour away! So that's when my husband & I got up and left.
