There's places where you go for specific things and Tiki is my go to for a comfort food Loco Moco with extra gravy! Their Regular portion is definitely shareable! I'm not a macaroni salad person so I always get "all rice". I also ask for extra gravy which compliments my extra rice. I love their gravy, I think it's what makes an ordinarily standard type of dish that has a burger patty and eggs. Other items I really like here are the Healthy Plate, and BBQ chicken and BBQ beef. They are super quick anytime I have ordered for pickup. Now, I don't go during peak hours so that is likely why I always get speedy service (10-15 min). Saw this place near my friends wedding. Decided to get a quick bite before the wedding. I have to say I did see the bad reviews of katsu so I have to be honest I stayed away. I did see a lot of great reviews for low carb meal, spam masubi, and Portuguese masubi. So I tried all those. The total came out to $24.85 cheap for Cali standards. Food was great! The portions were very generous. I have to say the quality was there for the price you're paying. The store was super clean and we still appreciate the Covid blocking board. For the people's safety and employees. The front desk was super nice and did have a lot of patience. We did notice that there were plenty of to go orders, which is great! My friend and I stopped in for lunch because we were in the area, and each ordered the beef and chicken combination plate. The service was ok, but when we got our food we were surprised to find the rice was dry, the chicken was mostly fat and skin, also the chicken meat was dry. The beef was flavorful, but it was so tough and chewy that we didn't even finish our plates. The ambiance was just alright, nothing special and there was dust on the air vents above us, floors had some old food on them probably from people dropping food or wiping the table onto the floor. Mac salad was mediocre at best. Needless to say, I won't be going back. 2 stars was generous for this visit, 1 was probably most appropriate, but I gave benefit of rounding up. Someone said this was a hidden gem, and I must agree. The restaurant was clean and the employees were very friendly and welcoming. Most importantly, the food was OUTSTANDING! We got the bbq chicken, loco moco, spam musubi and edemame. The portions are GENEROUS, especially for the price. I would not call the mini a mini, it is still a substantial amount of food. The regular size can easily feed two people. The quality of the food was excellent, my BBQ chicken was cooked perfectly, and it was tender enough to cut through with my chopsticks. The loco moco was delicious, exactly what you want from loco moco. The macaroni salad might be the best mac salad I've tried so far. And the spam musubi was also really tasty, too! I used to order from L&L Hawaiian (centennial) but I wanted to try different Hawaiian restaurant. Based on good Yelp's reviews, I picked this restaurant. When we got there 2 cooks and cashier were talking in Chinese loud. It was a split second decision for me to leave or stay as soon as I found out that Chinese run the restaurant. I wasn't there for Chinese foods. Lol. Oh well anyway, I ordered Hamburger Steak and my husband ordered Chicken Katsu. It was ok taste (I'm from Hawaii so I know what Hawaiian food taste like) with a good portion (three thin burger patties with gravy). About 4 hrs later I started to have a bad headache and fever and ended up throwing up. I didn't eat anything after my Hamburger Steak. I felt a little better but my tummy still bubbling while writing this review. Sorry but no more Tikis. This will be my first and last visit. read more

Located in the northwest part of the Las Vegas Valley, Tiki's Hawaiian BBQ is located off of Durango and Farm Road. It was recommended by one of the nurses at Centennial Hospital as they found out we were originally from Hawaii. I bought my daughter the Chicken Katsu, her favorite, and my husband the Kalua pig and cabbage over rice bowl. For me I shared the katsu with my daughter since it was a nice huge portion for their regular size plate! Now, for the taste of the food. Let me say it was ono as we say in Hawaii, which means good! The Kalua pig was perfectly smoked like it was done in an imu (inground oven), wilted cabbage and rice well made. The katsu was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch from the panko breading. A lot of the Hawaiian restaurants in town have a hard time getting the taste of the Mac salad down, but Tiki's Mac salad was pretty tasty. They also had an array of canned Hawaiian Sun juices in a small refrigerator. Prices for their food is standard to what's around the Hawaiian style restaurant. The interior was painted in sunset colors with cute tiki motifs, palm trees and hibiscuses, and they had Hawaiian music playing from their speakers. Love the grass shack look above the ordering area. They used part of their restaurant for storage of their restaurant equipment, which took away from the tropical vibe. There was a Gotcha game as well at the front entrance. The staff were not overly friendly, but they were pleasant. It was well after lunch when I came about 4p, but they had a lot of to go orders they were working on.
