EXCELLENT FOOD, easy location & parking. Really nice decor on the inside. Definitely Cajun vibe. BUT THE FOOD Y'all is delicious!!!!! Service was great... there was a bit of a wait to get our food but it was fresh, and hit so it was well worth the wait. We will absolutely be back

This is honestly some of the best cajun food I have had in Texas. The service is excellent and the staff is very warm and friendly. We ordered the Korean and Tennessee hot wings and the Cajun Trio. I would probably pass on the wings next time because I don't usually enjoy ones with a lot of breading but it was nice to give them a try and they count the WHOLE wing as ONE WING.....You gotta love that. Not trying to count a flap and a drummie as two wings! I wanted to comment mainly on the absolutely outstanding quality of the items in the Cajun Trio (Gumbo, Etoufee, Red Beans & Rice) and the sides of loaded mashed potatoes and the most excellent and piping hot fried okra!!!! Wowowowowowwwww....in my best Christopher Walken voice! I would definitely go back for more items on the menu! The restaurant was immaculately clean and had very well curated decor inside and out. The patio was lovely and I will be that is a pretty popular place when the weather is nice. They have houseplants everywhere and the atmosphere is terrific!

3.5 stars* Lets start with the food: I ordered the sausage po boy and my partner ordered the fried chicken dish. My po boy was a 6.5/10 overall; I liked the bread and the freshness of the veggies but I think the sausage could have been elevated flavor wise. The fried chicken was really tasty and juicy! The sides on the dish weren't anything to cry home about but overall both mains were good. The star of the show was the chocolate bread pudding. Came out warm and delicious and delightfully sweet. The only thing that could've made it better would be some ice cream. Lastly the service and environment: when we first came in the restaurant was completely empty. We weren't greeted immediately but the service wasn't bad. I liked the outdoor seating and overall vibes but there was an interesting smell inside the building portion. Overall a good first experience :)

Service was fantastic and the food was THE BEST! Genuinely, everything we had was delicious and homemade! The chicken tenders were so tender and flavored wonderfully with a light batter. The hush puppies were awesome! Red beans & rice delicious and huge portion along with the Jambalya! Everything was delicious and the restaurant was very clean and well decorated. We went on a Tuesday at 3pm, so not many people there...but I bet it's packed at lunch & dinner time! Highly recommend!!

Came into town for an event and looked up something close for lunch. This place was a winner all around! Beautiful interior, service and staff were so friendly. The food was incredible! Son gave the chicken tenders a 12 out of 10. My shrimp po boy was so fresh and the bread was so soft. Next trip to Waco we will definitely be back. There was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. If you're in Waco, Cajun Craft is definitely worth a stop. Laid-back spot with bold Cajun flavors that hit. The fried oyster po'boy was loaded--crispy oyster, good seasoning, chunky lettuce and tomato and that sauce tied it all together. The fries had a nice Cajun kick. Only knock I have was bread was I wish bread was little softer, kind of falling apart on me while I ate it. 4.5/5 The gator bites with two dipping sauces were crispy and packed with flavor. 5/5 Portions are solid too.

Needed a light bite but we are not fast food people, so we had Cajun Craft on our list so why not try it? We did and LOVED IT! We got the seafood platter without oysters. We had an extra piece of fish. Now I'm picky about my fried fish, so I let my husband eat that and I eat the shrimp unless I know it's good. Well, we were fighting over this fish! It's seasoned well and fried just right! The shrimp was tasty too. We had to get up and get a to go order to take. Home to the rest of the family to try! We took fried ribs and gumbo for the family. So good! It's a cute little restaurant and the restroom is on the other side of the building. It looks like it's family owned and they are really nice. No complaints about the service. FYI, they are cashless so make sure to bring a card and your appetite!

Celebrating Mom's birthday, she had first chosen another catfish establishment in China Springs, something like Family FishBait, but they had decided to close up early with a silly unprofessional note on the door. Well, no matter. Mom wanted good fried catfish for her birthday and that lead us to Cajun Craft. Parking lot is very small, but we were able to park. Once inside, we stepped up to the counter to order. Staff was nice and very helpful. Soda machine, Iced Tea, and Topo Chico. We found a place to sit while our food was made fresh. Fried Catfish and Crawfish. Hush puppies. Red Beans and Rice. All. Excellent! We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back.

We came based on the Yelp recommendation. This looked like a local place, not touristy. Very laid back vibe. Service was excellent. We were well taken care of during our entire visit. The etouffee sauce was delicious. The fried crawfish was just okay, and the rice gummy, but that sauce was so good. The stars were definitely the bread pudding and the beignets. I would order that every day and be so happy. Is it worth going back? Definitely. I'd like to try the gumbo and some other menu items. And order dessert. Next time, I may not share with my fellow diners. They can get their own.

Location: It is located in downtown Waco just minutes away from the Silo district. Parking: They do have free parking with less than 10 parking spaces in their lot. Food: We ordered the shrimp po boy and the seafood platter and it included fried catfish, shrimp and oysters. Price: The fried seafood platter cost $19.99 and the shrimp po boy cost $14.99. Soft drinks cost $3 and they'll give you cups for water. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. You will order first and then they'll deliver the food to your table. Overall food was good and restaurant is nice. We walked it from the Silos district and it seemed a lil sketchy walking there but we were fine and got to the restaurant safely.

Took a long weekend trip to Waco with my family and wanted to try a new restaurant that I can't try in Dallas. Cajun craft had good reviews so decided to try it out. Sunday afternoon around 1:00 pulled up to a spot that wasn't fancy but kind of gave that hole in the wall feel. The parking lot was full so that was a good sign. Once inside the menu is on the wall and there are smaller menus to check out. You can order and then take your number to any seat you want. I ordered the Cajun tenders with Cajun fries and a roll. It's not much seating at the front but once you go through a doorway there is more seating plus I could see outside there was tables with heaters as well. It didn't take long for the food to come out fresh and hot. The tenders were good and the seasoning gave it just the right amount of kick. What took it up a niche for me was the customer service. We were checked on a lot making sure everything we ordered was to our liking. The gentleman helping us even gave my son two small little race cars. If you want good food but especially if you want good customer service this is the place to go

The place is super cute, there is indoor and outdoor seating available. The service was very kind and hospitable. The food is visually pleasing but disappointing flavor-wise. The Korean chili wings were the most flavorful thing we tried -- they had a nice crispness, but without the sauce, they were bland. The fries were not good, and I also got a side of mac and cheese that I only took one bite of. Don't even get me started on the roll. For $18 a plate, it felt like a let down. My friend ordered the Cajun tenders and okra. They were also unimpressed with the quality and lack of flavor. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but it's probably not somewhere I'd make an effort to come back to.

Tried the shrimp poboy. It was amazing! Well worth the wait. Please note all food is made to order so you will have to wait. There is a sauce that is placed on top, which is great. All sandwiches come with fries that are seasoned with a Cajun season. There is an outdoor sitting area that has a huge fan that blows cool air. It's not bad sitting outside. Will be back. read more

Dinner was awesome! We are driving cross country to NC and decided to grab dinner after visiting the Silos. We had our prize pooch with us and had to find a place where we could sit outside. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming to our little girl. It was a hot evening and staff brought her some water and a special treat wrapped in a cute bag. Our meal just hit the spot after two long days of driving. The fried pickles were delicious. We had gumbo, jambalaya, and a Po-boy. As we ate outside we felt as if we were in an oasis. The lights were lit and strung above us and music was playing quietly in the background. If you are at the Silos visiting Chip and Jo this is a the place to come for a delicious bite! While in Waco for a quick getaway trip we found Cajun Craft. The red beans were good, the gumbo was a flat out no BUT the jambalaya was the best jambalaya I've ever had! Coming from a Nola girl that's big! The shrimp poboy was delicious with just the right amount of kick! Overall great experience! We will definitely come back here when in Waco. read more

Wow: The fried chicken is outrageous! The batter is perfectly crisp and the meat has flavor. Juicy. The fried shrimp taste as good as it looks, it's soooo good. The portions are LARGE. The fries were good but could have used more seasoning. My table was split on he potato salad, both liked it but I thought it needed a little more flavor. Cole slaw was delicious. This place is amazing. I come here all the time. The food is always consistent and oh so yummy no matter what time of day you go. Staff is ridiculously friendly. Long over due! Delicious food, cozy dining area and wonderful staff- Kim the owner is the sweetest! We come here often and never leave disappointed! Our ONLY disappointment is to not have known about this place sooner!!! Our favs are the fried chicken jambalaya and po boys! Today I was surprised and excited to see PHO as a seasonal special... came for the chicken and got this instead... it was so delicious- the broth was flavorful and they keep it authentic!! We came to Waco for a weekend get away after being disappointed with most of what we came for we looked up Cajun places to get some food! We were skeptical but OMG this place did NOT disappoint at all. Everything we had was phenomenal - I could eat the fried Cajun corn & Hushpuppies every day! My husband is an Étouffée snob & it was perfect!! Affordable & delicious - what? Wish we lived closer! We would be frequenters FOR SURE! If you are looking for flavorful food, Cajun food this is not the place. It's closer to greasy bar food. Expensive bar food. I'd say all fried in the same grease.. and has the same bland taste. If you want an Austin vibe, plants on the wall, sitting out, small, cozy, with industrial look inside, this is your place. One positive is that it is BYOB. The gumbo brings back memories of Red Lobster's gumbo from a boiling bag. That deep dark, bitter rue that one can only get from a bag or jar. The fish fillets were small and bland. This place needs to rebrand and be another part of the world... it is not Cajun. Ok, so based on other reviews, I'm swimming up stream. Just was not glazed over by the atmosphere. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant around 5 o'clock and it seemed we were the first ones there for dinner. I got the etoufee and he got the gumbo. The food was delicious! I couldn't have had better if I went to Louisiana. The main sitting area was under construction, but we had no problems sitting in the covered outside area. Definitely would go again. read more

The Bayou Crawfish Etouffee is excellent and the best dish I've had in Waco in my 4 day 3 night stay. My party had the Shrimp Poboy, Oyster Poboy, Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice and the Jalapeno Cornbread. Everything was delicious. The prices were fair and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and even gave us recommendations on things to do in Waco. Check this place out! read more

We heard about this place from our Airbnb hosts. The line was quick, the atmosphere was a "10". The food was also delicious. I got the fried corn, without the spicy seasoning, and the fried chicken. My husband got the jambalaya, the smaller portion was enough for lunch. We were happy and satisfied. The only reason I gave this establishment a 4 four star rating was the fact that my food came out about five minutes after my husbands and it was not hot, or even warm. Why get room temperature fried chicken? I was so hungry I just ate it, I didn't tell the waitress. Everything else was spot on! read more

Ordered catfish and was very disappointed. The catfish was very fatty giving it an awful, dirty taste. The french fries that came with were under cooked and the hush puppies tasted as though they were fried earlier that day and had been sitting around. For the price, this place is totally not worth it! It was very disappointing, I had high hopes for this place based on some of the reviews. read more

After walking in the door it was not what I expected. Not a big deal and when I told them that the tea was empty. The cashier came back out to say they close in a hour and will not make anymore. Again not a deal killer but the presentation was poor. The special fried oyster deviled egg was not bad,... flavor good Fried pork steak,... Gravy was flavorful Green beans were pretty good for can. I now get why you are asked to pay and tip up front Very disappointing read more

No apology for forgetting us. No effort to seat us. No attempt to make things right. We were simply left sitting on the rooftop until the restaurant closed. I've worked in customer service long enough to understand mistakes happen. But forgetting a table for over an hour and then essentially shrugging your shoulders when they ask what's going on is unacceptable. What should have been a magical final evening of an incredible trip turned into us scrambling to find food elsewhere on our last night in Texas. The rooftop view was nice. I got the chicken tender basket...comes with so much chicken I couldn't even finish it all, seasoned fries, a roll, AND an additional side of your choice...I got coleslaw (something I would never typically order...it was sweet and purple). It was all great, especially the fries. The chicken was perfect...thick and juicy with just the right amount of seasoned crispiness. My boyfriend got the catfish basket and loved it...I'm not a fan of catfish but this I would actually eat. To top it off, we tried the homemade bread pudding......heaven in my mouth. I am writing to express my disappointment with the Cajun Corn I recently ordered. Unfortunately, the quality of the dish did not meet my expectations. The corn was poorly presented, with several kernels visibly burnt, giving it an unappetizing appearance. It was clear that the corn had not been properly cleaned, as there were remnants of husk and silk still attached. The overall dish looked rushed and unappealing, with charred spots overpowering the intended flavor. I have enjoyed items from your menu in the past, but this particular dish fell short. The ambiance is cute and trendy. The service was quick and painless. However, I wasn't very impressed by the food. I got the cajun tenders and they were not cajun at all! They tasted like regular chicken tenders and didn't have much flavor. If you're looking for lots of cajun flavor, I suggest ordering something else. read more

Excellent Cajun food and great owner. Catfish was excellent flaky fillets with a light corn meal crust. Their Gumbo is some of the best I've had anywhere. The bread pudding is delicious with a light texture and an excellent bourbon sauce. This hole in the wall is a must try stop! read more

This is definitely one of the best cajun restaurants in town! Unfortunately its counter service only but food was delivered fast and the service was great. The atmosphere is nice and inclusive. I highly recommend the banh mi bbq pork sandwich. read more

Never a disappointment. Parking keeps me away or else I would be here weekly. Seats could also be better but because this is about the FOOD... 5 Stars! (4/5 if I were to consider seating, parking and comfort). read more
