When I looked up seafood places this popped up as one of the best seafood places. First , I didn't realize that you had to tell them to add butter so it was steamed so I had to add my own butter and seasoning that they had at the restaurant. The seasoning had a sugar taste to it. Not good, threw Everything off. Shrimp were cooked good. Perch isn't a good thing to put in a sea food mix box. This can't possibly be one of the best places .

I found this place out of the blue. I am always looking for some great wings and shrimp. Upon first look and walking in, one could question what the experience will be. Here it is...... Upon walking in, the place is pretty clean and we were greeted nicely by all and the service was great. The decor isn't great inside, but the food makes up for that. The food is what I was there for. Speaking of the food....... The tenders were fresh and tender. I could have ate them without any sauce and been happy. Dipped them in whatever sauce they have (some kind of buffalo), and i enjoyed them even more. The chicken wings were fresh and cooked perfect. They were covered in buffalo hot sauce and they were perfect for me in heat. The giant shrimp were breaded great and had a wonderful crunch and flavor along with the cook on them. I have to say that its some of the best shrimp i have had in a long time. The puppies and fries were just normal and not made of what i could tell. If they made those fresh, id love them even more. Lol. With all this being said, its a hole in the wall that could be missed. Id say dont miss it. I will definitely be back for more from this place as the food was wonderful and the staff was also.

I have never, in my entire life left a review anywhere. Mostly because I eat fast food, but nonetheless I find myself forced to give this place its credit. I was just passing through, stopped in here and was blessed I did. You cannot beat the amount and quality of food for this price anywhere. I'm from Georgia but will 100% find my way back here. This one really lived up to its name! We wanted Cajun food and we got it! I had the Fried Catfish and Jumbo Shrimp combo along with the corn and I have to admit I was not disappointed. I really felt like I was back in Cajun country when I ate this dish. It was full of flavor and love. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only thing was the wait but it was understandable because the phones was ringing off the hook from people placing orders. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing. The "D1" at $10.99 easily contained enough food for two generous adult meals, but no, there were no survivors, so I'll have to rationalize that the copious quantities of steamed tilapia, broccoli, corn on the cob, potato and five truly jumbo shrimp we're hopefully healthier than their fried equivalents. We chose the mild seasoning option which perhaps left our steamed fish a little bland, but seemed the safe option for a first try. Will likely up the ante next time around. "Steamed to perfection" would be the phrase applicable to my tilapia, the large serving of broccoli, corn on the cob, my five genuinely jumbo tail-on shrimp, and the thick, dense slices of steamed potato which had a light dusting of a mild spice blend that kept them from being totally bland. The potatoes I think are a required Cajun (spell check don't fail me now) accoutrement otherwise unnecessary given the generous servings of all other parts of the meal. These make for some dense filler that help push this steamed plate (okay, styrofoam container) over the line into a generous, filling meal for two for $10.99 (8/31/2018). Take out or dine in. Friendly, helpful walk-up counter service. Simple, clean dining area with bare tables, plastic utensils, and drink coolers with bottled soft drinks and juices. Also serves as fish market for small selection of raw sea foods. You won't confuse the simple set up with "fine dining", but it's a definitely return worthy addition to our limited in-town seafood options. read more

Amazing experience! We ordered two D3s and one D4 and the four of us had a feast! The proteins were all perfectly prepared, seasoned, and high quality. The steamed broccoli, corn, and potatoes were amazingly fresh and delicious, too. The fries and hushpuppies are crispy and better than other quick/casual places! These folks know what they are doing and this is an awesome option for takeout. We're here visiting family, but next time we're "home" in J-ville we'll be sure to get dinner from Cajun Seafood. Covid-19 Note: Was really impressed by their system. You order at one door (basically like a walk up window) and then you pick up from another. So smart! read more

The food was AMAZING!! Seasoned perfectly. I ordered the spicy steamed family tray w/ crab legs, shrimp, corn, broccoli, and eggs and it is definitely enough to feed two or three people. All for just $32!! I'm used to ordering food like this at home for nearly $60 so this is definitely a deal. Everything was cooked perfectly, all I'd prefer was the shrimp to be deveined but I get that would be too much work on the staff so I'm not complaining at all. Definitely worth the hour commute. Finally... some variety here. You get really tired of chain restaurants fast! To top it off they're open on Sundays until 8pm. Score!!! We decided on the family tray for 59.99 $ and 10 piece chicken wings were around 8$. It only included one king crab leg which we all fought for cuz it was sooooo good. Everything was perfectly cooked. Usually when eating at these type of restaurants the shrimp gets overly cooked. There's a mistake on the menu, it includes a pound of crayfish, too. What a nice bonus! The flavor was spot on, too. Will definitely come back! read more

Staff is friendly but other than that this place is nothing impressive. The fish is either fried or steamed in your choice of seasoning, served in a styrafoam to-go dish with a plastic disposable fork, and then drowned in drawn butter for "flavor." My steamed red snapper was so tough that I could only eat about half of it. read more

We love eating here, we eat a ton of seafood. It is a little pricey. The food is good and always cooked fresh when you order. I love the variety of the sauces that you can add to the meal. In my experience with them, the "family" meals are enough for one person lol. We get them to go so we can enjoy at home. read more

We showed up just after 8pm on a Saturday and it was packed. The wait to order was not long. There were three people taking orders and all were extremely nice and helpful. The view to kitchen is huge so you can see everything that's going on back there. The place seemed clean and was large enough to where the tables weren't piled too close together. They had high chairs for kids. Although all the tables were filled when we arrived, everyone was waiting for takeout orders so there were plenty of clean places to sit by the time we finished ordering. I ordered whiting and shrimp with a side of corn. My husband ordered tilapia. Everything is made fresh and served extremely hot. Our wait time for the food was about 10 minutes. All the fish are filets, so no bones. This was my first time trying whiting, and I am not a fan. It was certainly seasoned and prepared appropriately, I just did not care for that particular fish. I tried the whiting based on an Internet description of it being similar to cod, so maybe my expectations are what doomed me. My husband enjoyed his tilapia, I wish I'd have tried it. The shrimp were incredible. They were the jumbo ones and they were delicious. The breading was thin, crispy and tasty. It had a hint of sweet and a hint of spice. The fries were also surprisingly yummy. They were crispy and must be fried in their own oil because they did not taste fishy. The hush puppies and corn were also good. I barely ate any of my fish and was still stuffed. I wish they had fountain drinks. We got bottled sodas, which was fine, I just prefer fountain sodas when eating out. I am looking forward to going back and ordering just the jumbo shrimp and fries. read more

First time trying this restaurant. First impressions are everything, gotta say very good. Service and promptness was definitely on point. I especially love the extra attention given. Most people wouldn't realize, but whenever you get fried food put directly into the Styrofoam container and it gets closed in....your food sweats meaning bye bye crunch. Well then cut small vent holes that prevents all that. I got my shrimp, drove all the way home, and to my surprise....hot, crunchy shrimp. Way to go, finally an establishment that cares about Service and not just revenue read more

Oh my gosh, eat here. Just do it. Move in if they will let you. The shrimp boil with the broccoli, corn, and potatoes is my favorite. The andouille sausage slaps with that as well. Get it spicy, but you better mean it, otherwise just stick with the butter option. Husband loves the crab legs. The staff are so great. They greet him by name when he walks in. The best place to eat in Jacksonville. I absolutely love Cajun seafood. My favorite is the F2 with catfish and the spicy seasonings you can ask for. It's always blazing hot and fresh when I order it. It's reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. I've literally never finished the plate that's how much food you get. It's always perfectly crispy, never soggy. The fish is never tough or chewy. The seasonings are to die for! Highly recommend! read more

This isn't Cajun seafood! It's Asian seafood! I'm from southern Louisiana and this is far from Cajun! They didn't have jambalaya gumbo fried oysters Char-Broil oysters boudin or anything that truly represented the Gulf Coast, so to my opinion this is a no-go and top it off I was hoping for some Cajun seafood for my birthday and this was a major disappointment so from a Cajun do not go this is literally. Asian seafood not Cajun seafood! It might be a northern thing and believe because their using our seasonings to attempt to cook it but it's still not Cajun, it's fake Cajun! read more

Loveeeee the catfish and shrimp platter ! The seafood boil, crab legs...potatoes...shrimp and broccoli was pretty good. I wish they served the platter with sausage and boiled eggs , as they do back home in Baltimore. I would prefer and option for garlic flavors (lemon butter or honey garlic for added flavor) Customer service is always friendly and accurate. One of my fave spots for quick Carryout and seafood, here. Very clean establishment ! read more

Its definitely a great spot for seafood without having to drive to Wilmington. There isn't much seating but if you call ahead they will have it ready for you. Its seasoned ok could get a little more. The butter taste kinda off maybe it isn't butter but other than that I have no complaints. Me and my friends come here pretty often and haven't been disappointed. read more

I was craving seafood and thank goodness I found this place, it's amazing! The fried shrimp tastes so yummy as well as their chicken tenders and fries. I love their seasoning! I think it's definitely worth the price. My family went in on a Sunday night and the wait was only 10 mins for our order so they're pretty quick considering the food is made fresh. Definitely recommend! read more

I like that they have specials every night. It makes it affordable for people to come and enjoy themselves. Unfortunately, the biggest issue I had was the service. My waitress Makayla was incredibly rude. She lacked basic service etiquette. When asked about what types of beverages they offer she listed off the types of beverages with making funny faces and saying I really don't know. When receiving the food, I noticed that there was an ingredient that I am allergic to. I told her that this is what was in my food and I needed to change my order. She insisted that she knew the recipe and that the thing that I was allergic to was not not in it. She argued with me about it with an attitude when I simply just needed the sauce to be changed. While my guest and I were sitting at the table talking and still eating our food, she came over and said how we like to pay when it was clear that we were not finished eating. Not only that she was so worried about restocking her tables that she started grabbing things off of our table to restock them and then slamming them back down next to us. She made us feel as if we had some sort of time limit when we had only been there for approximately 35 minutes. I politely asked was there a time limit that we had for eating there she replied with no there is not with an attitude. She continue to do petty things like interrupt us and make us feel incredibly unwelcome. However, she treated the other tables around us with so much enthusiasm. just really excellent Filipino food in an unexpected place like Jacksonville, North Carolina at…read moreslightly unreasonable value (great for the customer, but makes one question if the business can sustain it when charging so little for so much food). It was the first of three Filipino restaurants we visited on my wife's/my Carolina week long visit, and was the best out of all of them, even though by far it was the least expensive. Driving from Durham NC to Myrtle Beach, my wife and I took a longer route so we could eat at this 'Point-Point' steam table restaurant deep in the South. Steam table means everything is pre-cooked and sitting at a buffet station. The food can suffer in the same way that a buffet can: the food gets old fast and it definitely tastes different if you can get a fresh(er) batch vs one that has been sitting out for a while. We got there about 45 minutes before opening (opens at noon on a Sunday). It's in an isolated strip mall (seemingly in the middle of nowhere), with plenty of parking. As we waited in the car, we saw many prospective customers trying to get in. The doors opened promptly at 12 pm, and we were the 3rd party in line. The order taking process is intentionally slowed to allow the serving of the food to take place not long after it has been ordered and (pre)paid. This did mean that the line went out the door for our entire dine-in visit, and we got to see the make up of the regulars. Everyone was patient: it was very clear that it was mostly locals, coming not because they wanted Filipino food, but because they wanted good tasting food at a good price. It's a small dining area, but the vast majority of people were doing carry-out so there was always some seating available. They use Clover as the POS, and identify themselves as 'Filipino Cuisine'. We got the 3 choice combo plate ($16.99), served with white rice along with a can of coke ($1.99...no soda machine here) and a side of Ukoy ($2.50). There is a 4% surcharge for credit card use. Each choice was the size of a small a la carte portion, and one would have been enough for the two of us for lunch. The food was delivered to your table, and they will bus (or one can self-bus since a garbage can is available and everything is served in disposable containers). Ukoy - shrimp and vegetable fritter - really big piece and made that morning, so was still crispy. I really like vegetable fritters and this version was OK, a bit dry but that's what the accompanying vinegar dipping sauce was for. Pork Adobo - very tender meat, not too much fat, with added onions (what you would expect in a biftek). The amount of saltiness went perfectly with the white rice. Biftek - this had the sabaw of biftek, but the cut was cubed, meaning closer to caldereta. The beef cuts were just excellent (little gristle), very tender. This amount of beef would easily be $20 in a 'nice' Filipino restaurant. Pork Sinigang - really good, just the way I like it. Wasn't overly sour, with plenty of vegetables and generous amount of pork. The broth had definitely been skimmed of grease, resulting in a dish that was more homemade (where time is taken to do the skimming) than other turo-turo places I've been. Looking over the menu can tell you about the competition in the area, and it looks like Vietnamese Pho is pretty rare in Jacksonville. Turo Turo has Pho on their menu, and even modified their name to highlight it. I've found that many Filipinos like their dishes with all the extracted fat remaining, which makes much of their soup inedible for me (in that context, it's grease, not flavor-enhancing fat). But as noted, their sinigang was good, with most of the pork fat skimmed off the broth...so thinking their Pho is probably pretty good too. We've eaten at many, many Turo-Turo places (so many around where we live), and this place has to be near the top in terms of value and taste. Funny that it's in a place that we wouldn't expect, serving locals that one would expect in the area. Both of us really liked this restaurant, and the plentiful leftovers became our dinner that night with no regrets.

Man this place was great, for the longest time i did not trust any of the seafood places out here, boy was i wrong. The food is great quality with great service and i left with a full belly. The crab meat is delicious it slides right out of the shell and you get your moneys worth in crab meat. Its affordable and the staff are very helpful. I used the bathroom and clogged the toilet and personally made sure unclogged it before i left the facility. They have my respect for their good quality, food and service. read more
