Don't come here because this is my favorite place and I don't want it crowded! JK! But, yes, this is our favorite shrimp boil restaurant in the area. This place has a relaxed vibe, friendly and attentive costumer service and always great food! We come here often and never have to wait to get seated. We are greeted, seated and after ordering, served fairly quick. Sadly the spice level used to be nicely spicy but now its just ok and thy have limited parking, so def carpool. Tip: avoid parking at The Hat next door, they will tow.

they are soo generous with the seafood boil sauce! the sides we got (calamari and onion rings) also came in large portions and were very crunchy! the restaurant was pretty quiet when we came in, but it's definitely worth a try if you're craving seafood boil.

Always a go to when I'm craving a seafood boil! If you order two pounds of seafood, they will add free sausage and a corn. I have no complaints about the food! My go to order consists of the clams, crawfish, and the oysters! The staff is also very nice, and because I go so often with friends, they have even started to recognize and memorize our orders!

Boat House specializes in Cajun boiled seafood. The place is spacious with a nautical/pirate theme throughout. I know some people like to eat with their hands and get messy with their food, but I'm a Bougie B with an I to the T to the C to the H and prefer not to mess up my couture so I ordered the clams & peeled shrimp (spicy), while my friends indulged in the crab leg boil. The house sauce had a nice flavor and a good kick. The shrimp was tender & the clams were fresh. Our server was attentive, and my friends enjoyed their feast. *Beer, wine, & sake

I really like Boat House. Their garlic butter shrimp flavor is so good and fried zucchini is my go to as well. Staff is friendly and attentive, portion sizes are great, AB's restaurant is clean. My only con is parking. It's very compacted and limited, but there are other parking areas near by.

Man I've lived down the street from the boat house and never went because we were only into the boiling crab but hated the hour wait times. So one day I was craving seafood and happened to come across the Boat house Believe me when I say this place is underrated the food is good and the price is great. The fried fish was ok but the seafood boil was great. We got 1lb peeled shrimp mild house special and 1lb full shrimp spicy house sauce both with potatoes and sausage and corn on the cob along with rice. For about 85 bucks not bad! Definitely coming back

Second time I come here and wanted to try something different. I ordered peeled shrimp and calamari. I love it but my sister in law wasn't a fan of it. I really enjoy our meal and we split the bill. Enjoy!

It was my first time experiencing seafood in a bag and I absolutely loved it! The house seasoning really took my shrimp and corn on the cob to another level! We also ordered the garlic bread which we dipped in the seasoned juice and it was scrumptious. To elevate this wonderful experience to the next level we enjoyed it with some ice cold shock top

Food is great but they need to hire more workers very understaffed and when busy be careful since the wait for food will be long.

We came here around 5:30PM and the traffic to get to Shrimp House was pretty bad. Found out that you can enter from Myrtle and from Live Oak. We were on Myrtle and went onto Live Oak thinking that was the only entrance.. that was a mistake due to the backed up traffic during the time. When we got there, we were seated at a table. It was pretty crowded, full of older people. The guests were friendly and seemed to be regulars of the place. When the waitress came to us, she took our order. We ordered: Popcorn Shrimp - Loved this sooo much! Reminds me of Sizzler. Popcorn shrimp was hot, fresh, and had a crispy batter! The actual popcorn bedding added to the theme :) 9/10 Ceviche - We got the Mexican style and it was good. Not as good at Kickin Shrimp, but it was a good appetizer to start with. 7/10 Clam Chowder - This clam chowder reminds me of Sizzler's clam chowder. It was creamy and thick, and had a few bits of clams. 7/10 Grilled Seafood Sampler - The fish was nice and flaky. Very flavorful with the seasoning that they used. The shrimp was nicely grilled. We were not a fan of the bell pepper that was on the skewer that bled into the shrimp itself. The flavor was a bit intrusive considering shrimp already has a light flavor. Finally the scallops were a pass. Just grilled, nothing amazing. 7/10 overall Shrimp Scampi Linguine - Not sure what the hype was about, but this was the most forgetful dish I had here. The linguini was a bit soft/overcooked, the fettuccini sauce was thick and not too cheesy, but more creamy, if that makes sense, and the shrimp was just shrimp (possibly the grilled shrimp) and was just drowned in the fettuccini sauce and lost any natural flavors it would've had. 3/10 Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream: Out of the disappointing Shrimp Scampi Linguini, the Lava cake made up for it. We do not usually get dessert, but we were sure glad we got this. Similar to the pazooki from BJ's, but a hot choco cake instead. I can do without the whipped cream though, since I don't like it too much. 8/10 Overall, this place is a small, quaint place for seafood. The appeal is the hometown feel, friendly service, all while providing good, affordable seafood.

This time I wanted to come and try their food again after all those years and they look the same as before. They have fried chicken combos, item combo plates (steam table), and boba drinks/smoothies. We ordered two piece fried chicken with fries, three item combo plate (half fried rice and half chow mein, orange chicken, bbq pork, and teriyaki chicken with sauce on side), and large boba milk tea. We got our food pretty quick, the staff (Sany and Stephanie) were really nice and helped answer and explain our questions (because it's been awhile since I've been here). The seating options are limited, however, the store is small already therefore we can just take it to go and enjoy at home! We took 20 minutes to get home and the food was still hot! The fried chicken is slightly spicy, I can't handle spice but the hint of it made me enjoy the crispy skin! Lots of fries and a toasted roll. The combo plate was full of food, overflowing almost. I definitely enjoyed the bbq pork, sweet and savory and tender. The boba drink tastes just like a regular milk tea, we got it very large! Drank it all! Definitely will come by to try their fish and chips, I noticed they have fried shrimp as well and the steam table had fried chicken wings so might want to try them next time too!

One of my favorite things they serve on the side of each order is a yellow, jalapeño pepper lightly grilled and rolled in lemon salt and pepper. It is such a nice seasoning and great idea.
