    Strawberry cheesecake

The exterior belies the beauty and sophistication of the interior design. Plus, it's huge, there's tons of seating. The service is fast and efficient, desserts are outstanding, and they have some savory items. I'm a sucker for Asian style hot dogs and Yuri's is the best I've had, 100x better than Paris Baguette! Their cheesecakes are super light, maybe weighing 3 Oz. We got one to share but ended up getting more. Everything we ordered was top quality

Strawberry matcha, red bean donut, blueberry and coffee macaroon. And my best friend in the whole wide world.

Let me tell you, it is not called Yuri's desserts for no reason. The food is always very good. Here we tried the red bean cream donut, and additionally some macaroons because they had a little new year special. The lighting and vibe of this place is one of the best in Portland. I would collage in the back table, the sun in the afternoon is perfect. They have incredible matcha, but the pastries are so good. I have had the almond croissant and it is very well made.

Yum! What a nice bakery tucked away on Spring st. Its a little hard to find but worth the trip. Beautiful cakes and pastries and a large dining area to sit and have a snack. You can order cakes for birthdays and events.

I don't know how to put this lightly, but these were the best f*****g pastries/donuts I've ever had in my entire life. I take my coffee and pastry game seriously--I love finding new spots and trying sweet treats wherever I go. A local recommended this place, and we're so glad they did. Even after a full meal, we somehow managed to eat everything. Nothing went to waste. Just look at my partner's face, every last bite was worth it. Let the pastries speak for themselves.

I remember when Yuri was doing cake pick ups at the house! It's awesome to see their space. The strawberry cake is delicious! So light, fluffy, and not too sweet. I love to order this for birthdays! The macarons are the perfect texture. My favorite is the pistachio. The space itself is super airy and bright. It's a good place to get any work done or meet with friends for coffee.

Cream donut. I don't like donuts, but this has made me a donut believer. Light, thin perfectly fried dough, sweetened red bean and cream. So light and fluffy. We bought 3. I was a bit meh about the mango tart. It wasn't extraordinary considering the price tag. Fresh, perfectly ripe mangos, but found the tart crust a tad bland, and could use something more. Hoping they will expand their menu but will be back and rave about their cream donuts. Take my money!

I've been waiting for Yuri to open for MONTHS and came on their third day! My short review is that it met every expectation of a standard chain Korean bakery, and did not fall short. From their opening rumblings, the owners have lots of experience at tous les jours and Paris baguette -- both Korean bakery chains that can be found in the US. You'll find standard lattes and drinks, laminated French croissants and viennoiseries, but with an Asian twist, which means lots of cream and fruits. Things are pricy -- a patbingsu is almost $18-20 here, but the ambiance is light and airy and the treats delicious. They open til 4 most days and 6 on Friday and Saturday!

This strawberry croissant was the most delicious pastry I've had in a long time. It was perfectly golden, slightly crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. The cream filling was light, not overly sweet, and the strawberries were fresh and flavorful. True pastry perfection. The French pastry school diploma on the wall adds context to the bakery at Yuri's. We tried Yuri's on a Saturday afternoon at around 1:30. We were able to walk right up to the counter and order with only one or two parties ahead of us. The person who waited on us patiently answered several questions. We ordered a couple of coffees and the croissant. There were several empty shelves in the cases, but there were still macarons, chocolate dipped croissants, strawberry croissants, some strawberry cake by the slice, a couple of whole cakes, and a few other items. They were out of sugar packets for coffee and were offering Stevia so I had mine with just half and half and it was fine. The cafe was larger than expected, filled with natural light, and really bustling, there was only one empty table. There are currently no vegan pastry options, it would be wonderful if they could add a couple. However, a solid five stars.

What's not to love about this place?? I've been following this business on instagram for a while and couldn't wait until they opened. There's plenty of parking nearby which is a plus. Entering Yuri's, I never realized how spacious and big this cafe was. I was instantly greeted with the nicest staff. I got a strawberry matcha latte, twisted donut, and a macaroon set for to-go. Everything I got was delicious. There's WiFi and plenty of seating to chat or get some work done. I will definitely be back!

Although I stand by Yuri's delicious treats and drinks, as well as their immaculate and bright space (with wifi!) I do wish they had a few savory options. There are times that I come out of there with a major headache because I've just consumed enough sugar/caffeine to take out a small child. I also feel like the staff/cashier aren't friendly and usually just stare at you in silence instead of saying anything akin to 'how are you?' or 'what can I get for you?' which I find strange and makes me not want to frequent this place.

Newly opened in early 2025, this bright, spacious dessert and drink shop is adorable and seems to be a big hit for those with a sweet tooth and/or those looking for a calm ambience for a "third space". There's a variety of Asian inspired pastries, rolls, buns, classic croissants, giant macarons etc. and familiar drinks as well as trendy matcha pairings. Plenty of bistro tables to catch up with a friend or go on a cute date, tiny couches in the middle of the main room, and a back room with more of a studious vibe and a long table great for a larger group. We're visiting from out of town but imagine that locals and visitors alike would enjoy this space. Wishing Yuri and team an amazing first year!

This place has excellent vibes, sun drenched, roomy, welcoming. High quality coffee. Staff is always so friendly and answers any questions. By far the best classic croissant I've had in town. My cinnamon brown sugar iced latte was perfectly made, not overly sweet, with great coffee flavor. Honestly the pastries are very high quality and for that alone I'll continue to return, but they're winning in every other category too so that only sweetens the pot. I wish there were more free parking options for local residents but alas that's just the area and not their fault. I love Yuri's and will be back again soon!

We came here after reading all the great reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Their baked goodies are absolutely delicious--the cake slices have that melt-in-your-mouth texture. They're located on the 1st floor of a building with a separate entrance and stairs, so we had to carry our stroller up, which was a bit tricky. But aside from that, it's a great spot for sweet treats and totally worth the visit.

After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!

When thinking of big name cookie brands I am very unimpressed with the popular chain located in Rock Row. The Insomnia cookies may not be quite as large as those but I view that as a positive as these are more manageable for a single serving eating. It was such a smart idea for Insomnia opening up at the end of Wharf Street as a late night spot. Can get all of crowd leaving the bars who want a sweet bite to soak up some of the alcohol had throughout the night. Staff were friendly and cookies were in our hands within seconds after ordering and were perfectly warm. The staff also highlighted on our receipt that if we do a survey we would be able to get a free cookie for a future visit. I enjoyed their S'mores Deluxe cookie while my wife got their Confetti Deluxe. We were both happy with our choices and would be no brainers for a return visit. The only real knock is the price is a little high for two cookies. Although I do think it's a significantly better product than some of their competitors. If you are in the nearby area and want a quick sweet treat in the form of a cookie give this place a shot!

Gross Confection recently announced on social media they would be shutting down the bar/desserts service while remaining open as a bakery. My wife and I came here many a times for an end cap to the night for one last drink and delicious and beautifully made desserts. From times in their dimly lit space that gave off romantic vibes or even enjoying our desserts in the summer sun outside people watching, every time will be remembered. Timing worked out well and we were doing a staycation in Portland and knew we needed to add a stop here one last time. Thankfully we got our names in on the waiting list early enough Friday and got sat as one of the last tables. We each had one last phenomenal drink; my wife and Apricot 75 that had a great tart kick of apricot and lemon. While I enjoyed their Chai Fashioned which spelt like a chai but had that boozy bourbon warming you'd expect. Dessert wise everything sounded good as always but we settled on two. The Goat Cheesecake and Pineapple Cake. The cheesecake was the perfect sweetness without being cloying and the blueberry sorbet on top paired so well. The pineapple cake was moist and tasted so good we needed to scrap the plate clean. I'm sad that Portland is losing this amazing dessert space but glad it's not a complete goodbye since they'll operate the bakery still! If you somehow read this today and have the chance make it in for one last visit tonight before they close their doors!
