I've never seen her ask for milk with cupcakes, let alone take a sip after every bite. That's when it hit me -- maybe the mistake was trusting the pre-order to be fresh. The number toppers were not glittered as we requested. Some of the stripes were broken and the cake seemed to be melting in some areas as though there hadn't been enough time between the cake cooling and being decorated. Our cake was delicious, but it was aesthetically unsatisfactory and we felt a little ripped off.
