My first time here. The steak and shrimp burrito was just okay, could be better. Shrimp was tasty but the steak was bland and tasteless. The carne asada salad was horrible, i expected the salad part to be standard bag salad faire, but the guacamole on top didnt taste good or fresh and the one tablespoon of shredded cheese sprinkled on top was tasteless like the carne asada. The amount of meat/carne asada in the salad was sad as well; it tasted like tiny pieces of boiled chopped up meat, no flavor, no seasoning. No char flavor, therefore the salad i ordered was really bad. Sorry for the low review but that was my experience. Usually we like their food and haven't had any issues with them but tonight we ordered for delivery off an app and they don't package things safely. The bag wasn't tied closed and food boxes not taped. And we had a missing meal this time. It feels a little gross and a safety risk and makes me not want to order food from them again because their food is usually good. read more

So I don't know why I never came here, but I'm glad I did. I tried their fish taco for the first time and it's pretty good. Since there's no more rubio's I miss eating fish tacos. It's made from tilapia fish. Their al pastor tacos are good and big too. The hot sauce is really good, got my nose running. I know where to go for my tacos now. This place is so much closer to home, no need to drive around town looking for tacos! Oh and their chips are good too! It's not free but I always like to try the chips. read more

First time in for a dinner order to go. We were greeted by the two lovely ladies with a smile. They were so helpful and happy. Unusual these days and a pleasure to see. They serve some big portions. We were excited to get home and get eating. First is the tacos. Both were good. I enjoyed the crunchy cabbage and pickled onions as well as the sauce. The fish went all the way across the tortilla which was great because I got a nice piece with each bite. Al pastor was juicy and yummy. Yes on both tacos. However we mist get to the unfortunate part. The ingredients for the burrito didn't have any flavor so the whole burrito ended up bland. No bueno. The salad was enormous with a nice mix of lettuce meat and the other toppings. The dressing could have been a little better but pretty good. I ended up adding salt because it didn't seem to come together as well without some saltiness. Overall pretty decent. Me and my family absolutely LOVES this place, I've been coming to this place before I ever got married and had our child and 8 years later we still come here, my son loves their food. I always get 3 tacos consist of chicken, steak and shrimp taco. My husband gets steak super burrito and we get chicken burrito for our son from kid's menu. Of course can't forget chips and salsa add to our meals. Customer service is always on point, regardless if you come in at lunch or dinner time, 2 different staff shifts and they're all so nice, welcoming and more so, appreciative to f customers, that's why we keep on going back to them. I actually visited this place twice in one week. I came in around the afternoon time and it wasn't that busy. Though it should be in my opinion. Locally owned and managed. I thought this place was pretty good. I ordered the grilled chicken burrito meal. Came with chips and a soda. The burrito was well put together and never fell apart. The manager didn't shy about loading it up. Buttt the next time i went, the youngster who made my burrito made me feel like i was at chipotle. The burrito was half the size from the first time i visited. That's my only gripe about the experience. The second time i also brought some people with me also to try this place. This is located right down the street from the high school. I'm sure this place could strike up a student meal deal and get the business booming. It's gonna be a no for me dawg. There really is nothing fresh about Cal Eats Fresh. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and got a bunch of wilted, browning lettuce. My sister busied herself flicking the ants that were crawling on our table (guess my complaining was not interesting enough for her?!), and to add insult to injury, I was charged 50 cents for sour cream. I asked my dad if he would be back and he said no, pointing at my wilted salad. Unfortunately we will not be back for another try. If you have the word fresh in your name, you gotta live up to it. I really wanted to like this place especially with all of the rave reviews, but no. I ordered a pork burrito bowl and it was more like a SOUP! There was so much liquid in the bowl that it made everything super mushy. I tried to pour out some of the liquid but it was just so much. At one point, I just skimmed of the top of the bowl and threw the soupy mess down the drain along with the rest of my money. SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED. read more

Update: I've decided to give Cal Eats a few more tries but this most recent one just wasn't it. The guy who runs the register mostly, always tries to charge me extra for stuff I never added. Last time I was charged like $0.50 for "extra rice" even though it was just 1 scoop. Today he charged me $1 more for guac that I didn't even get. And when he rings me up, he does it fast so I don't see the exact charges, never gives me a receipt either. I saw it in the end and pointed out to him about it. I'm sure he's doing this on purpose as it's not the first time for me. Like come on dude, don't value some extra change over a customer. read more

I actually did order a lil different as I usually eat the carne asada but this time per the pics and reviews I actually tried their blackened fish tacos. I ordered 3 of them and made it a combo with chips & soda for an extra $2.50 or $3. They were delish and grilled to perfection! Not to mention the spicy sauce that was topped...... so yummy! I will say that I was completely stuffed, so next time I may order 2 tacos and a side of chips and a soda. They built a bit bigger than your regular normal street tacos. I came here to try the asada fries one of my friends had recommended to me and I love them! So much I had to save some for later so I asked for a to go box. The people behind the counter were nice and very attentive, and I love the music playing in the background... I was dancing a little bit in my seat. The service was fine. Greeted right away by the young lady. Placed our order, steak & shrimp burrito for him...grilled tortilla, which was nice, beef, sautéed shrimp, Spanish rice (can choose brown), beans, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, onion. I had a bowl comprised of the same fillings minus the shrimp. I have to say, when she was putting everything together, the components didn't look very good, but, I'm glad to report, it tasted better than it looked. The beans looked as if they opened some cans, the salsa didn't look homemade, the meat didn't have any grill marks or anything. If you want guacamole, sour cream, or cheese, thats a dollar more each!! I opted against it because of the price, but our food was fine without. Chips are extra, altho I'm not sure what a small bag cost, & they're just that giant bag that you can get from Costco. Would I go back, probably not. This was a last min decision so we didn't put a lot of thought into it. The 2 items plus a little tip was about $30. read more
