I went inside looking for large tiles, and once in there, your brain starts working on all the projects you can do !! I asked for pricing on a few of them and the lady said she'll prepare a quote for me. She sat down and started talking to her coworker while I waited. I noticed it was taking longer than expected since she was taking phone calls and all, so I started looking around the store, to give her time to get ready (here I am all considerate). I come back to the desk and she's still not working on my quote but doing other stuff. So when she sees me she tells me to give her a minute, so I continue looking around. 2 minutes later, a family comes in, and to my surprise, they get helped right away... I come by the lady's desk and she tells me to give her my email so she can send a quote later because now she's busy... I wasted like 40 minutes waiting for her... About two months ago I was starting a project to retile an entryway and a fireplace and was referred to Cal Tile Center. I came in and met Randa Hardy who immediately put everything else aside to help me select the right tiles, edge trim and grout for my project. She was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable with a great sense of design and what I was hoping to achieve. I ended up placing an order and then began contacting various contractors that she recommended. Once I had a contractor and started the work, she continued to stay in touch to see how everything was going. This was so important as I soon discovered that we were short on tile so needed to put in a rush order which she was able to fulfill quickly and in time to complete the work. Randa always got back to me even when she wasn't immediately available and was always professional and customer oriented. My wife and I received amazing service from Randa who helped us select some gorgeous porcelain tile. She then outdid herself when I called three weeks later with a question about grout color selection. She was SO nice and helpful spending about thirty minutes on phone and texting with me, but my wife (The Decider) wasn't home then. No problem - she said to call her when my wife got home so the three of us could go over how to make the right decision. I explained that would be after they closed. Again, no problem. She said, "you have my cell, just call me when you can." So later when she's home she spends at least another 20 minutes on the phone with us. Truly tremendous service! Went here for an entire home remodel and spoke with Ceci and asked for help finding a particular tile. First she tried to tell us that porcelain tile was terrazzo in a blatant attempt to rip us off. Uh, no. Then we ordered a sample and was told it would be in store with several days. Several days passed and no call from Ceci or anyone at Cal-Tile, and we had to call three times to speak to Ceci as she didn't return any of our calls. We finally speak and she tells us she'd send a photo of the sample as we live 30 minutes away from the store. She never sent anything. Clearly Cal-Tile doesn't want our business so we went down to Anaheim and spent $8,000 elsewhere because these people are flaky, rude and unresponsive. read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could. I remodeled a kitchen/laundry/bathroom. I had a general idea what I liked, but couldn't coordinate the floor tiles, shower tiles and countertops. Ceci helped me find the perfect floor tile and a countertop I liked better than any I had seen; both worked with a shower tile I loved! Cal Tile held the materials I purchased for many weeks, because my project was delayed for other reasons. My contractor planned to pick up the tiles, but found they were too heavy. Cal Tile was able to deliver the tiles with less than 24 hours notice so my project was not delayed! Then I needed more tile than originally ordered and Cal Tile was able to get it within 3 days. I worked with Randa on two different projects. She's outstanding, as is the selection at Cal Tile. The first project was selecting Mexican tiles for our backyard. I don't know where Randa found the patience but she sat with me, even after the store closed, to select and arrange patterns, as I obsessed over each and every piece. The tile is now in place and looks great. The second occasion was for a bathroom. Contrary to the first, I made my decision in under 30 minutes, based mostly on a trim I fell in love with. Randa helped find the right wall and floor tile so it all tied together and made sure I was happy with my choices. She also worked with me on pricing.
