My wife had two of the Mustachio Porters, while I had one Oaked-o Bier Marzen and one Mustachio Porter. They were both delicious. I also liked the 5-hole Canadian Lager. Neither of us cared for the Powder-Stache Porter as much. Service was much friendlier than last time too, and they were busier with a friendlier crowd as well. I don't like IPAs and that was really the only option for "lighter" beers. I'm sure they'll get things sorted out and when they do, I'll give them another chance.

The fact that they can maintain total excellence across two different continents is unreal. The two spots are completely equal, and the Colorado taproom continues to prove why they are world-class. The beers were spectacular as always. We started out with a couple of pints of their New England-style juice. In the Steep is a masterclass in the style with a beautiful, pillowy mouthfeel and heavy tropical notes. Sun in the Clouds was just as impressive. It delivers those bright citrus flavors without the aggressive hop bitterness. I even noticed Cross Flow on the tap list, which is a fresh, hazy collaboration they just put out with Casey Brewing. Before packing back into the truck, we made sure to grab a new metal tacker to hang up in the garage. We also snagged a four-pack of Lil John Wayne. The can art is easily the funniest label on the shelf, but the actual beer is a solid ten out of ten. To fuel the final stretch of the drive home, we ordered from Bird Craft right inside the brewery. They do not cut corners here. They are frying up full wings, including the drummies and the flippers, and they will toss them in any of their house sauces for an incredible snack. The skin stays remarkably crispy even under a thick coat of sauce, and the meat stays perfectly juicy. It is exactly the kind of savory comfort food you need after a long road trip. For context, I'm a professional chef with over 17 years in the industry, having worked as a server, line cook, chef, and restaurant owner. The atmosphere itself is decent. The building is nice, though the tables are a bit small depending on where you're seated. We were greeted and seated without issue--but that's where the positives ended. Prices are high, but it's Summit County, so that's expected. That said, I live in Aspen and have had better food for less. I understand catering to the Vail Resorts crowd, but quality still matters. Before even walking in, we watched one of the cooks step outside near the freezer and take drugs from someone sitting in a car. While this may not shock anyone familiar with the area, it's still not something you want to see before a meal. We chose to ignore it and went inside. My husband ordered the fish and chips ($24), and I ordered the Italian pizza. Starting with the fish and chips: it was terrible. The portion of fish was tiny--smaller than my hand--and poorly cooked, with no seasoning whatsoever. It was bland, ragged, and buried beneath an excessive amount of fries that were both dry and soggy, as if they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The hush puppies included were equally mediocre. While I understand their Southern origins, fish and chips is a British dish. If you're adding hush puppies to inflate the price, it should be marketed differently. Three hush puppies buried under fries do not justify a $24 plate, especially when the fish itself is subpar. To make matters worse, we weren't given condiments and had to grab a table caddy ourselves from the bar across the room. Both meals arrived in about seven minutes, which strongly suggests they were pre-cooked and reheated rather than made fresh--especially considering one was a pizza and the other a fried fish entrée. As for my pizza, it was fine. Nothing special, nothing awful. For the price and location, it was average, and I won't complain much about it. The biggest issue, however, was the service. The server was pleasant at first, but about 15 minutes into our meal she began pushing us to leave. I still had half a margarita in front of me, and my husband was actively eating with more than half his beer left. Instead of checking in appropriately, she immediately asked if I wanted a box. Anyone with industry experience knows that's not how you approach a table--especially when guests are clearly not finished. It's rude and makes customers feel unwelcome. Fifteen minutes later, after I reluctantly accepted a box, she returned again while my husband was still eating and drinking and asked if we were "all set." At that point, we'd been there for about 30 minutes, spent over $60, and were being rushed out. Meanwhile, the rest of the restaurant was filled with people lingering over drinks during happy hour--some on laptops, some just chatting--most without food at all. Whether this was intentional or just poor service, it reflects a lack of training and care. Burnout is real in this industry, but that doesn't excuse making guests feel unwelcome. If you don't want to do the job properly, find another one. Overall, this is a two-star experience solely because the happy hour drinks are worth it. For food or genuinely good service, go to Dillon Dam across the street--they're cheaper and the food is far better. This restaurant needs a complete overhaul of both kitchen and front-of-house staff, along with serious retraining. You can't charge $25 for mediocre food, provide poor service, and still expect solid tips. Unfortunately, this place exemplifies many of the problems currently plaguing the restaurant industry.

The staff did a good job as well but they are mostly very young people working seasonally so you are not going to get professional waitstaff as you would in a high-end restaurant like Leonora. The bacon was barely chewable and had no flavor as well. It came with a side salad. The salad looked delicious but had no flavor or dressing, and the few small croutons on top got soggy from the wet salad toppings. Yuck. I also tried the elk burger. My fiancé ordered this cooked medium. The sides were cooked fine, but the inside looked like ground beef you'd see in the raw meat aisle at a grocery store. He was unable to eat any of the middle of the burger because of this. Now we would've complained about the burger because this was health hazard undercooked inside, but our waitress never returned to ask how our food was until our food was long gone. No water refills so we refilled our own glasses with my reusable water bottle. No bill until literally 30 minutes after we asked her (and this was long after we were trying to figure out why she was not coming back to our table). It was a bummer because she was very nice, but we got no actual service from her.
