Stopped at the Breckenridge Brewery and Pub to grab a bite to eat en route from the airport to AirBNB. Had my giant luggage with me and was allowed to leave it by the entryway. Was greeted promptly upon entering and directed to the bar to place a to go order. I had limited time because had to catch a bus. The ambiance was fun with TV screens around to watch various sporting events. I was watching A&M get beat by Miami while waiting for my food order to be prepared. They have the silver brewery tanks where they brew their beer on site behind the bar area. They had a bunch of unique brews but I am not a beer person. I found a seat at the bar and the bartender came to take my order. I mentioned that I was on a time crunch with having to catch the bus in approximately 35 minutes and just wanted to check to see if the kitchen could accommodate my schedule. I was a bit taken aback when he responded that he couldn't guarantee anything and the electricity could go out.... So I was going to pass on ordering, but then he said we better get my order in then. So I put in an order for fish and chips. Then he said the kitchen should not have a problem accommodating that time window. He brought me some water and I enjoyed watching the football game while I waited for my to-go order. The food was ready in plenty of time for me to make it to the bus stop. It was packed nicely and came in a paper bag. I was able to enjoy it at the bus stop. Fish and Chips with Avalanche Ale battered white fish, fries, tartar. The fish has a nice batter but was a bit bland and could have used more salt or other seasoning. It really needed the tartar sauce to complete the flavor profile. The fries were light and crispy. We have been to the Breckenridge Brewery before but at the Littleton location and honestly, we liked it much better. There were limited things on the menu available, so much so I ended up having a White Russian, Laura had tea, and Ben only ordered 1 beer. One item that we really were looking forward to was their Elk burger but it was no longer on the menu, or at least not at this location. Oddly enough, the table next to us had a father/son come in together and they were also looking for the Elk burger and when they learned it wasn't available, just got up and left. I am going to suggest that if it was a permanent removal that they put it back on the menu. There isn't much parking in their lot, maybe 8-10 spaces so walking from the parking areas is most likely you're only chance as the areas around this brewery are homes. We still like their beers but will try other locations or go back to the Littleton location. read more

Stopped in for dinner on a snowy night. We split an order of pretzels and were happy to see we'd each get our own and wouldn't have to share. Because when you share a pretzel, someone is always getting screwed. Mustard and hot cheese dipping sauces were both yummy. I had the turkey Reuben, which I'd had before. It was fine, but the turkey was shredded, which seemed a little odd. I had thought the turkey was sliced when I had it years ago, but maybe not. Fries are still delicious. My wife had a veggie burger and fries, and she liked hers as well. Service was consistent throughout even though we had to ask for refills twice. This review is long overdue. We have been patronizing BB for years and have at least one dinner here while in Breck. The food is slightly above average; the real attraction is the great selection of beers on tap. We can say that the Brewer's Mac n Cheese, Rainbow Trout, and Wild Game Meatloaf are worth ordering - well crafted, generous portions, and good tucker after a day of skiing. The burgers are standard pub fare (it's too bad they dropped the elk burger which was a definite winner!) BB has a phenomenal assemblage of beers which cater to a variety of palates. Our go-to's are the Avalanche Amber and Juice Drop Hazy but you really can't go wrong with their rotation. We do want to credit the staff. They really do make the BB experience what it is - they maintain great attitudes and deliver exceptional service while taking care of a full house of thirsty apres skiers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]BB has a well-worn atmosphere and could probably use a refresh but is otherwise an inviting environment because of the care and consideration of the servers and bartenders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Any visit to Breck is incomplete without hoisting a few at BB! read more

This place is no longer owned by the same company that owns Breckenridge brewery. I've traveled around the United States and always stop in at breweries. Some of them locally owned some of them corporate own. This one however, fell short as the food was rather disappointing and the beers came to us flat. Hats off, though, to the employees who were all working hard and had good spirits, but you could just tell [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place was dated and did not have the ambience or the financial backing of a larger brewery to keep it in a condition you would expect with the name of a large beer company[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I am sure if someone had the financial backing to take this place over they could update it and get it in line with its namesake. read more

Good experience at BB in Breck recently. My wife and I arrived on a Fall weekend as the brewery opened and sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly, although distracted by coworkers and having tasters of the beers on tap. Whatever... this is a brewery and how better to tell which beers to try! As it was early, I stuck with a lighter lager to start with and ordered some food (burger and fries). The beer was tasty and before too long, the food arrived. The fries were hot and tasty, but the burger was just blah! Not bad, but not great. I ate about half of it and then just munched on the fries. My second beer was a high ABV stout (perhaps a porter??) that was fantastic. A brewery exclusive I think (sorry for forgetting the name), but would be a beer I'd return for again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For one of the oldest breweries in Colorado, I did expect more of a "wow" factor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perhaps the brewery scene is just truly dying off? Breckenridge Brewery is iconic. They've been around for a long time and for good reason. It feels more restaurant than Brewery and that's a good thing. They have great food. My dining partner loved their fish and fresh veggies. I had the meatloaf at our server's recommendation and it was really good. The best meatloaf ever....? Came in on a Sunday evening with a party of 5 and was easily seated. Seamus helped us out and was very helpful and attentive. I got the quandary burger which was cooked to medium as I requested. Fries were good and the burger was tasty as well. Seamus kindly allowed us to split our checks as well, which we appreciated. There are several tvs that had a few games on, my friends enjoyed their food and beers. We never felt rushed and had a good experience overall. A great selection of beers on tap, their flavors match other well known smaller state brewers (i.e. Leinenkugels in Wisconsin, State 48 in Arizona). Thoroughly enjoyed their Autumn Ale, the Palisade Peach Wheat, and the Kenso Kölsch. Must admit we went here twice because it was right by our hotel! I can't say the food we got (apps) blew me away, but they have tasty beers and a full bar (plus [[HIGHLIGHT]]even when it is busy you can usually find a spot in the bar area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]). We only came here for drinks so I am not going to review food. We were able to find parking in their parking lot (4 pm on a winter Sat) which is lucky. I would definitely recommend keeping your eyes out for parking spots as this location just off the main street. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. We tried 3 draft options - one that we don't remember the name of, the Seat dropper and the Eliza-Rita. The first one was ok. I loved the Seat dropper which was an orange creme flavored seltzer with hints of sugar cane. My favorite was the Eliza-Rita (my husband hated it), which was an interesting combination of sweet, sour and spicy with the watermelon and jalapeno combination. This is definitely a love-or-hate kind of a brew. We were there during happy hour so we got $2 off everything. Ambiance is industrial chic, which is right up our alley. Usually I am only in Breckenridge during the ski season. I am so happy that I spent a September Saturday hiking then eating and shopping downtown. I usually have low expectations for food at breweries. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the Turkey apple brie sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was light and flakey - perfect! The sandwich was the perfect combo of salty and sweet. The French fries here are good. The fries are crispy and crunch - just the way I like them! I enjoyed the orange wheat beer. It was the crisp and refreshing on the warm sunny day. The weather was perfect and I am so glad we sat outside on the porch. I believe that this place just like any restaurant downtown during ski season will be packed and slammed. Note that you cannot wear ski boots inside - marked on the door. My only negative part of my experience was that there was no urgency to clear tables after guests leave. It was not busy. I do not like looking at dirty dishes around me. read more

Had the soup of the day which was chicken tortilla. It was a superstar soup. It had big well seasoned pieces of chicken. The soup was just the right amount of heat. I finished the meal with a dessert beer. The vanilla porter. It was so so good! With that said I returned today for their happy hour. Great choices and we had the tacos. Came in for happy hour (4-6pm / $2 off full pours) and got two seats at the bar. Dave and another bartender (didn't get his name) were so welcoming and friendly. Fellow guests at the bar were kind and we struck up some great conversations in the short time we were there. Good people in this place! I can't speak to the food. I don't think they had any plant based options, so we didn't plan to eat. The beer is solid. There is something for everyone. Ordered the peach wheat ale (refreshing and crushable) and the sexy motor oil (big dessert-y stout that is very tasty). Lots of seating options (bar, barrel high tops, tables). And it's two floors! I was impressed! I had the green Chile Mac and cheese, which was a delight. The rodeo burger had plenty of bbq and was cooked to perfection. My friend had the fish and chips, which she said was also really good but could have used something to make it a little less standard.
