Calamigos Beach Club is an absolute dream. Hotel guests of Calamigos Ranch have access to the beach club and can catch a 10 minute shuttle there every hour. My friends and I stayed at the ranch last fall, and visited the beach club for some drinks and bites at the bar after a day of wine tasting in Malibu. The jalapeno margaritas, tacos, and fried chicken bao were unique and delicious. The service and hospitality were first class. We took a short walk down to the beach front with drinks in hand, where they pulled out beach chairs for the three of us. You can also order drinks down at the beach and they will walk them down for you. We were the only ones at the bar and on the beach that afternoon, so it felt especially relaxing and intimate. I look forward to the day I get to return to Calamigos Ranch and Beach Club. It's a beautiful venue, down to the smallest details.

Calamigos beach club is a beach club and restaurant that opens to public. It belongs to Calamigos guest ranch and free to hotel guests to use. Non hotel guests can get day pass to hang out here for a whole day. They provide beach chairs and umbrellas at beach front, also a drink and food menu so you don't need to bring your own refreshments. Basically they provide service on a public beach, and all beaches are public in California from coastal act! So there will be other people on the beach besides beach club guests. And two young women were doing an amateur photo shoot near us which was interesting to watch. Although Pacific Ocean is not as beautiful as Caribbean Sea but the weather is much better! I can't do heat and humidity, Southern California weather is still the best! This beach club is huge and beautiful with a main restaurant and an outdoor lounge on the sand on the property. Main restaurant is very cozy and intimate, the food and drink menus were decent. Little lounge on the sand has some games to play which is fun to hang around. The beach club and restaurant is located on PCH which is 12 minutes away from the guest ranch. We took hotel shuttle to the club and they walked us to beach front down the hills through a tunnel. Our hotel beach club provided chairs and umbrellas, we were able to order food and bottles of champagne from them. We spent an hour and half at the beach and took some nice photos until sunset hour. It was getting chilly so we headed back to beach club to eat our food. It was so quiet and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves mostly. The food was so tasty and refreshing, I think they had better food at the beach club than Calamigos ranch Malibu cafe. I really liked the complimentary coconut water and it was the best for rehydration when I drank too much! Hubby and I truly enjoyed our time at this beach club, all staff members were extremely friendly and pleasant. For some reason there was barely any other people around the entire time so it was so romantic, relaxing and intimate! We would love to come back here if we ever stay at Calamigos ranch again!

10/10 I went last March for my birthday and it was great! Greeted with fresh coconuts Amazing food and drinks! If you go definitely order the boa buns you will not regret it. They even brought over a free piece of cheesecake for my birthday!

The view is breathtaking and you can hear the soft sound of the waves in the background. PICTURES: The bridal party took pictures on the beach with the guests behind them looking over the balcony. I'm sure the bride and groom also got some gorgeous wedding photos out there too. Note if you are in the bridal party to come prepared with shoes you don't mind getting sand in. I noticed the men brought sneakers and the girls were barefoot. WHAT TO WEAR I was unsure what to wear to a beach wedding. The wedding I attended went from day to night. I wore a pink cocktail dress and that was perfect. Everyone at the wedding I attended wore colored clothing. I would stay away from black. And heels are fine because you are on a patio, not the actual beach. I recommend some nice open toe shoes with heels. I suggest wearing sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses (for a daytime wedding) to protect against the sun. I also suggest bringing a sweater as it can get chilly by the beach and also in the reception hall when they put on the air conditioning. Just note that there isn't really a place to store extra stuff except in the bridal room so pack lightly. RECEPTION The reception is inside in an intimate room with beautiful white tables, chandeliers, and a beautiful white draped backdrop with lights. The venue is small and intimate. It feels like being in someone's private home in Malibu. You have the place all to yourself. LOCATION This venue is deep into Malibu. If you are coming from the Westside of Los Angeles you will pass Pepperdine and Zuma Beach to get here. OTHER This place got an award from "2018 Best of Weddings" award from The Knot. The venue works best for smaller weddings. The one I attended had approximately 50 people and that was the perfect size for this venue.

We completely understand that the weather was beyond the restaurant's control. What was within their control was how they managed seating. Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we were overlooked and left waiting due to poor organization. When we asked to speak with the manager, PABLO was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted us, ignored the fact that we had a reservation, and sent us back to the front desk instead of addressing the problem. Rather than helping, he emphasized that he had worked there for 26 years and knew what he was doing. His attitude came across as rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Once we were finally seated, however, our server (Jorge) was excellent, and the food was outstanding. The waitstaff and kitchen clearly provide a wonderful dining experience. Our disappointment was not with the weather, but with the way the situation was handled. A manager should set the standard for customer service, and unfortunately, that did not happen here. I hope Paradise Cove views this as an opportunity to improve communication, organization, and leadership. I am sharing this review not simply to complain, but in the hope that future guests have a better experience.
