This place is worth every single penny. The Best BBQ I have ever ate in my life. Super good food, the sides were so delicious. The brisket was killer, turkey was so soft, pulled pork was insane. First time here ! Holy cow - I HATE COLESLAW,,,, but I love thiers !!!! It's lemon poppyseed. The service here great, food great ! Husband caters this place all the time for his work .... He said we have to come here Friday for dinner ! I'm not a big bbq fan, but everything here was Fire!!! And we were checked on by BEN , the general manager ... he is awesome , and even ISAAC came and talked to us . Family friendly , it's like chipotle set up --/ but bbq! Good fresh! Met a contractor for business lunch, we stepped inside and were immediately greeted and offered samples of their brisket and pulled pork, both meats had a nice smoke ring and were very juicy. I chose the "Dixie V" brisket sandwich with a side of coleslaw for lunch and my friend ordered the "General Patton" sandwich. The brisket was very tender and did not have a strong smoke flavor to it. I put their house BBQ sauce on the meat, and it paired well with the brisket. I was pleasantly surprised with the lemon poppy coleslaw, it was crunchy, seasoned well, and dressed perfectly not too wet not to dry, it was pretty good coleslaw which seems hard to find these days. I watched as the line to order food grew longer but the service remained quick and friendly. Next time I go back I want to take on the "General Patton" sandwich it looked fantastic and very hearty! read more

Keepin it real out here in AZ! This location added to the wonderful experience we had on our AZ trip. Couldn't have asked for a better BBQ experience both for the food and the vibe of the place. The smokers were impressive in the outdoor area. The staff were super attentive even after the ordering process (for a self sit down type of spot). We did let the food get cold cause we took our time taking pictures and video but they still tasted fire. If given a chance to go back to the area will def try it out again! read more

Outstanding BBQ! When we first walked up we saw them grilling on the BBQ and it smelt amazing!!! Everyone inside was very nice, quick, efficient and overall great customer service. We sat on the patio in the back. It has a lot of shade from the umbrellas with big picnic tables. It was fun to sit outside, rocking out to country music and smelling the grill. It felt as if I was hanging out with friends in a backyard. 10/10 recommend the overall experience!! *oh and the bbq sauce they make in house, still drooling* read more

I went in there to get food to go. It's my son's favorite bbq. I was blown away how busy they are. The line moves fast. The customer service is off the charts. I was overwhelmed by the amount of people and the noise level. Lanae helped me checkout. She made sure I had everything I needed for a great meal. She was so calm, helpful and friendly. I spoke with another associate about the growth since the last time I was there about six years ago. She was super friendly and informative. They were so pleasant! So rare these days! Got home with everything and the food was cooked perfectly and so tasty. They have a goldmine. That place is beyond delicious. Great employees... I just love that place! read more

I got to say this place is really good and worth the price, when it comes to BBQ I usually like the way I do things better, that was until I tried this place. We got the brisket, pulled pork and the sausage. Mac and cheese and Cole slaw. The brisket was fall apart and juicy withe the right amount of smoke flavor, the pull pork was tender and paired well with the bbq sauce, the sausage was amazing, we really like the Mac and cheese it was creamy and cheesy. The Cole slaw is what really surprised us it was light and refreshing not overly sweet like most places. Great place you get what you pay for, definitely recommend and returning. read more

We just moved to Tempe and our son from Dallas gave us a gift card for Caldwell BBQ. It was so good & the staff was so friendly & welcoming. My husband had pork ribs I had a brisket slider, our sides were the delicious corn casserole, coleslaw & pinto beans. So good. Andrew came over to see how we were enjoying our dinner & later introduced us to John who showed us how he was smoking the briskets in those huge smokers. They treated us like family. Cadwell County BBQ has the very best barbecue we've had and we have tried A LOT! Moses' gave us exemplary customer service & Addison was kind enough to give us a little bit of BBQ education in terms of how they do their BBQ product process using mesquite & pecan wood at the right levels of humidity. It's definitely working because their lean brisket, burnt ends, house sausage, ribs, mac & cheese, corn casserole, & pecan pie were epic! We also bought a bottle of house made tallow to cook with & some tallow lip balm that actually tastes natural & like not some petroleum product. On the way out, the pitmasters were kind enough to show us how they wrap the brisket, spraying it with pickle juice and then wrapping it in this butcher's paper so that it cooks a little hotter & steams a little bit to cook it through as well. Great BBQ & Even Better Service We recently visited our son in Phoenix and made the drive out to Gilbert for a family dinner at Caldwell County BBQ. What a great decision! This place has a fun, laid-back vibe that's perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with family. The line was long but moved quickly, and we were even offered samples while we waited--a great touch. We ordered a little of everything: fatty brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, pulled pork, mac and cheese, and cornbread casserole. As a bit of a BBQ enthusiast, I was especially impressed with the beef ribs--absolutely top-notch. Everything was very good, with one exception: the pulled pork just didn't hit the mark for us. That said, the real standout of the evening was the service. Every single staff member we interacted with was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which really elevated the whole experience. The turkey. I expected it to be dry (because, well... turkey), but it was juicy and incredibly flavorful. Honestly one of the best smoked turkeys I've had. We sat outside and it was such a nice setup--clean, comfortable, and with a relaxed vibe. Staff were walking around checking in, asking if we needed anything, which made the whole experience feel really positive and welcoming. This place was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious but the location we went to was in Queen Creek. We never been to this place and thought it was going to be a fun time to have a birthday celebration for my husband. As we came down to ordering our food and we had no clue what we were ordering and of course it took us a minute to kind of read through the menu. The whole time we were ordering we were being laughed at by their teenager employees and felt judge the whole time we ordering, even the sweet couple before us looked lost and they just look at each other and laughed. After that bad interaction with them the whole mood shifted and didn't feel like a celebration anymore. I really feel this place needs to train their employees on the importance of customer service, instead of laughing at us, they should've offered any tips or advice on what to order. read more

Did a little search of the area after a long hike and this place popped up. It had good reviews and they were not wrong. When we arrived, there was quite a line. Apparently the front door is basically useless because the line wraps around back. I will say the workers were incredibly fast and even though the line looked daunting, it was only about 15 to 20 minutes of a wait. I got a barbecue sandwich and a side. The barbecue was incredible. Tender pulled pork and amazing sauce options. The potato salad was good in a neutral kind of way. Nothing unique about it, but the benefit of that is that it is a certain crowd pleaser. Everything tasted really good quality. I like that they don't use frozen meat and seem a little more local oriented. There were a few vegetarian/vegan options, which I always appreciate, especially at a barbecue place. They also were creative in terms of how you ordered - you could get a plate or combine a few things. They also had some homemade desserts that looked delicious. They have a very nice story about how they came about and the passion behind the business. I appreciate the combination of Arizona and Texas and how intentional they were. Even the beers were from either Texas or Arizona and it felt nice to support local. Of course they had some basic ones as well but the diverse options they offered that were fit what we were looking for. The price is not cheap, but the food is certainly worth every penny. The outdoor seating is an absolute delight. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, and the place was super clean. They could probably use a few more bathrooms, but nobody was really left waiting too long. They run a tight ship but do a great job making you feel welcome and not rushed read more
