Don't come here looking for anything in English but the food is fresh and is made in the kitchen daily. I pointed at the menu a lot and they were very nice. They got the order wrong the first time but had no problems bringing me the correct order in a hurry, This is a local place, its clean and friendly. The food was great. I had the chicken nachos, and tasted the enchiladas and tostada. This place is the real thing.

Mmmm hot Pozole on a cold day. This place is kind of a dive. But the service was good and the soup was great.

La Chaca is not my absolute fave but it is one that I will be revisiting primarily because of the service, the price and the menu options.

Unfortunately I kind of wish I didn't. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, Carne Adovada Burrito, nachos with shredded beef, and horchata. The dish with the most flavor was the nachos. I'd give that dish a 4. The horchata was pretty good too. Definitely above average horchata. But the rest of the dishes didn't have enough flavor, even after adding salsa from their salsa bar. This was pretty disappointing and we wished we had picked a different restaurant for lunch.

We arrived a little ahead of a huge storm coming in as we drove through it about an hour before. Fun little space that has a drive thru window as well. The cashier was friendly as gave us a few recommendations. They go have a daily fresh fish but I didn't recognize the fish so I ordered a shrimp taco and adovada taco. My son got a shrimp burrito and then we split a chips and guacamole. The chips and guacamole were incredible. The chips were a tad thicker but great crunch and could hold up the large thick scoops of fresh guacamole. The shrimp burrito was enormous as it had marinated shrimp, beans, rice, cabbage, jalapeños and more. Every item was fresh and flavorful. The tacos were both very tasty as well. The tacos and burrito came with a jalapeño crema that was also yummy. They have a little salsa bar with a tomatillo green, jalapeño medium, a hot and pico de gallo. The salsas were all good. We sat on the fun but small patio and then rolled out just before the huge storm hit. We took the rest of the chips and guacamole to go in the car as we were driving north to our next stop. Definitely a place to come back to in the future if we are in SLC again.

This is an odd service but it's acceptable especially since their foods are impeccably delicious!…read more You order and pay inside, then take your bill outside around the corner to the food cart. The cook makes the food, hands you the food, you add all the toppings you wish (without judgment), and can go back inside the restaurant (unless you grab the wrong door and end up at the barber) to sit at a table or wherever you wish to eat. I got to select however many meats with no toppings and was pain free for the rest of the day (conclusion for me: no additives triggered a wobbly digestion in response). Everything looked and smelled fresh. Ambiance: bit bare inside, definitely not cozy. But if you are there to get food and eat it, it should be good enough.

It's a cash-only establishment, and the prices are so low that you'll easily be able to have a nice meal for whatever you've got in your wallet. I enjoyed two tacos-a beef and a chicken, both absolutely amazing. The flavor is great, the tortillas are warm and fresh-everything about it is great. If you're looking for authentic street tacos and don't mind eating in your car or in the parking lot, this is a fantastic option. I may find myself driving over and setting up a taco picnic in the back of my truck this summer. Grab a plate and come join me.
