Don't come here looking for anything in English but the food is fresh and is made in the kitchen daily. I pointed at the menu a lot and they were very nice. They got the order wrong the first time but had no problems bringing me the correct order in a hurry, This is a local place, its clean and friendly. The food was great. I had the chicken nachos, and tasted the enchiladas and tostada. This place is the real thing.

Mmmm hot Pozole on a cold day. This place is kind of a dive. But the service was good and the soup was great.

La Chaca is not my absolute fave but it is one that I will be revisiting primarily because of the service, the price and the menu options.

I ordered the fish tacos and a cucumber lemonade, and both were outstanding. The lemonade was incredibly refreshing and hit the spot perfectly. The fish tacos were crispy, flavorful, and served with several different condiments that allowed you to customize each bite and add even more flavor. The chips and salsa were also fresh and delicious. One thing to note is that the parking lot is small and was completely packed when we arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon. However, we were still able to find parking and get a table surprisingly fast despite the crowd. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a great experience. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

They start you off with chips and salsa, which is always appreciated. Just know that the first basket is complimentary and any additional baskets come with a charge. Of everything we tried, the Cheesy Pastor Tacos were the clear standout. The birria, asada, and chorizo were all good, but the pastor tacos stole the show. Next time I'll probably skip the variety and just order those. The only thing that caught us off guard was the seating policy. They wouldn't seat our table until everyone in the party had arrived, even though the people we were waiting for were literally pulling into the parking lot. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did feel a little unnecessary and inconvenient. Overall, the food was excellent, the drinks were refreshing, and the experience was a good one. I'll definitely be back, especially for the Cheesy Pastor Tacos.

I like to see what they have on the la carte , and I got a beef chimichanga, and a chili Relleno. Both were absolutely delicious. I was gonna with the chimichanga. You always get a side of sour cream and guacamole.Just the perfect amount with the lettuce garnish. Always perfect. You can order the Chimichanga in shredded beef, ground beef, chicken or carnitas. That's four different Chimichangas that they offer and what I told each one is absolutely delicious. I always love to order the chile relleno because you get a nice anaheim , or a poblano chili in it, stuffed with cheese, dipped in their batter, cooked and topped with their house sauce. Always a perfect choice and a perfect choice to compliment whatever you order with it. Their birria tacos looked absolutely delicious. I might order those when I go another time. Yeah, everyone enjoyed their food. Even the children; they had good choices for the children. As you can see in the pictures , the atmosphere is sweet and wonderful and inviting. There is a giant picture of Pedro Infante, the most famous singer from all of Mexico. His popularity is as strong as Elvis Presley. From what i'm told; and they are both passed away. The chips and salsa were yummy and homemade. The wait staff were very friendly, sweet, and they were able to answer questions about anything within the restaurant. The place was packed. Everywhere I looked there were groups of people, friends and family sitting there, enjoying their food. This was a fun restaurant for a hosting birthday party at.

The restaurant has limited parking! Tiny! Parking is a joke! There is maybe 6-7 parking spaces on the east side. Maybe 2-3 at the back of the building, which is one way. It limits the ability to drive around the back of the building. There are two parking spaces on the west side of the building. I have seen cars get totally stuck, people yelling and getting upset. If you have a large vehicle, I would not even try to drive around the building. I would drive south of the restaurant and park at the whitmore library's parking lot, and walk over. Service is okay. Ordering is cramped, and if there's a line you're standing at the back of the restaurant right next to people sitting eating. It's uncomfortable. During the summer there is seating inside and outside, but during high times you have to wait for a table! During the winter there are 12 tables, most of which are room for 2 people, four tables for 4 people, 5 if you can fit. This restaurant is SO popular, they really need to move to a larger building! One with plenty of parking and more seating. I love their food so much I would go once a week if there was more seating and parking, otherwise it's just too stressful!

Unfortunately I kind of wish I didn't. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, Carne Adovada Burrito, nachos with shredded beef, and horchata. The dish with the most flavor was the nachos. I'd give that dish a 4. The horchata was pretty good too. Definitely above average horchata. But the rest of the dishes didn't have enough flavor, even after adding salsa from their salsa bar. This was pretty disappointing and we wished we had picked a different restaurant for lunch.

Ordered chix taco w/ rice and beans, chix quesedilla, big combo and Chile Verde enchiladas. We new something was up when the waiter brought us another round water and juice after 20 mins waiting without asking. Food arrived at an uncomfortable 30 mins. Everyone's chicken was bland, like poached w/ no seasoning. Quesadilla was only toasted on the inside with not very much cheese-could not eat. Everyone's rice and beans tasted stale. The Chile Verde enchiladas were just cheese enchiladas with two little cubes (less than sugar cube sized) pieces of very dry pork. When I questioned the waiter about what I had discovered, he only asked if I wanted to order a side of Chile Verde. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? All of the chix meal portions were unedible, rice and beans were unedible and the large combo plate burrito was basically beans, no meat. I spoke with the cashier about our our disappointment, her response was "we have the best chef" If you value freshness, flavor, authenticity and value for your money, this is not the place to dine "  Waste of money for sure.

The cook makes the food, hands you the food, you add all the toppings you wish (without judgment), and can go back inside the restaurant (unless you grab the wrong door and end up at the barber) to sit at a table or wherever you wish to eat. I got to select however many meats with no toppings and was pain free for the rest of the day (conclusion for me: no additives triggered a wobbly digestion in response). Everything looked and smelled fresh. Ambiance: bit bare inside, definitely not cozy. But if you are there to get food and eat it, it should be good enough.
