I recently went to sandbox to watch the reunion of summer house and I was so delighted! They had fun drinks and they're also carrying loverboy which is a drink from one of the cast members of summer house. The food was delicious and it came out fast! We stopped by here for a quick meal after arriving in town. It was during happy hour, so even better! The beer selection was good, as were the cocktail deals. Our server/ bartender was great. Started with their wings. Got them with the sandbox sauce. Super saucy and good size wings. They've won for best in San Diego! Expected them to be a bit more crunchy, they were not. Were tasty, but not the best IMO. The pizza you can order by the slice or by the whole pie. Got a slice of the Burrata Sausage Hot Honey Mozzarella. It's a homemade marinara, burrata, sausage, hot honey. BOMB! They do a steady business with take out orders too! This is a a cool spot to visit- if in the San Diego area and in the mood for pizza. Fantastic salads... adding one to your order is the perfect way to turn pizza and beer into a healthy meal, right? The house salad is so much more than veg thrown in a bowl... They take care to cut apples into julienned strips (which I swear makes them taste better), use high quality blue cheese, and candied nuts (because again, elevating the ingredient beyond just what it is). There are innovative pizzas that will get you coming back to try the rest. Ingredients like Burrata and Hot Honey are calling my name. The dog friendly patio makes up for the difficult parking. Really great experiences at Sandbox! Awesome place to watch the games, a lot of seating options, so many tv's, and a great vibe! I absolutely love their wings and their sauces. Obsessed with spicy wings so I ordered the Magma wings, and it wasn't crazy spicy at all. My fiancée has a lower spice tolerance and said they weren't really spicy to him either, but had a great flavor. I could've used more of the sauce though :) The Box wings were heavily sauced to perfection. Hot honey burrata pizza was also great-- and surprisingly everyone said that it was spicier than they expected! I came here with a buddy to watch NFL playoffs. Luckily we grabbed the very last table and had great viewing angles to watch the game from one of their many tvs. The place was popping and the servers were hustling. The drinks were great and were really fairly priced for a drink in PB. The reason for 4 stars is the tots. It was sadly a lackluster experience. They didn't have enough seasoning and needed another dipping sauce or something because we ran out of the marinara sauce. Otherwise it was a great experience. read more

Good pizza. A word of caution for those who use Uber Eats. Unless a 2 for 1 special is ordered you're far better off ordering directly from Sandbox. A large cheese pizza on Uber Eats is $33 while they charge $19.95 on their menu. Parking is also a significant challenge when picking up. I'd mostly recommend dining at the Sandbox only if you can walk there. read more

Stopped by this sports bar with a friend while walking around in PB. A sign on their entrance said they won a top chicken wing award in 2024 so naturally we had to order some wings. While my friend went for the pizza, I ordered a Greek salad with chicken added for protein. The place is on Garnett with plenty of free parking on the street and the restaurant itself has a large bar area and several large rooms with lots of tables and seating. There is also an outdoor are with pool table and connect four. The food was quite tasty. I'm a dry wings kind of person so I ordered the lemon pepper wings and they were pretty darn good. Fried to the perfect crunch and tossed in lemon pepper sauce. The salad was quite large. I was surprised to taste ranch as the dressing as I was expecting Italian or Greek dressing, but overall just the right amount of dressing. The greens were bright and fresh as were the bits of tomato and cucumber. The chicken was grilled and kind of dry but not too bad. I tried a slice of the pizza (Hungry Surfer) and the red sauce was incredibly tasty as were the toppings of pepperoni and ham and other meats. This is a family friendly option in PB. Lots of different seating options. They put the padres game on with sound. We got the ranch pizza and mozzarella sticks. Both were very tasty, cooked perfectly and yummy toppings. Minus a star for service. I think our waitress may have had too many tables. After dropping off food, she didn't come back by the table for over 45min, probably longer. It was strange because we were in the middle of the restaurant. I have really liked this place going in person. The trivia nights are fun. In person I liked the pizza & their ranch is delicious. The server was kinda rude but at least the food and drinks were good. However the three times I have ordered from DoorDash, it was terrible. So I would not recommend delivery. It has always come cold and we don't live that far away (15 mins). What really bothered me is that the last order was completely incorrect. They put the hot Cheetos on the incorrect side. We triple checked this. There was no bacon as ordered however there was chicken instead. Sucks because I do not eat chicken therefore did not eat any pizza. And no I was not personally comfortable picking it off. I don't eat it for religious purposes so picking it off does not suffice. Unfortunately DoorDash only refunded us for the one topping error ($9) even though I couldn't eat the entire pizza which was $40. It also would have been impossible to pick off all the hot Cheeto dust lol. Additionally, my partner ordered extra saucy wings. They came very dry. Came here on a Friday at 930pm and it was dead. What happened to the lively and fun atmosphere with live music and dancing?? Those days seem to be gone under the new ownership. They kept the kitchen open so ordered food and drinks and they said we could stay as long as we wanted, but then was asked to leave at 1030pm. The food has always been good but the vibes are just not the same. We were in the area on Saturday and a friend had recommended this location for good pizza, we are so glad they did. The ambiance, service, and location was all A+ but most importantly were the pies. We got one large pizza with half of the pickle pie, and the other half was the buttermilk pie. I haven't had a pizza this good in awhile, so it was such a great treat after a long day.
