This is kind of a neat Place. Recently I've seen a bunch of new clean eating places pop up all over the place in the general rule of thumb is if you sell enough quinoa and rice and have food that is either organic or grass-fed you can call yourself clean eating. I don't really care it was freaking delicious. It's more of a bowl place but you can also get some sandwiches there too. Generally you get a rice or quinoa choice and then you get a protein and then you can top it with stuff. I went crazy and chose the BLT wrap which was a hot and press trap that did not seem filled with anything unnecessary. It had lots of bacon lettuce tomato and actually had beans inside of it to which or something a little bit different. I did decide to get french fries here because I have not had french fries all week and I figured I would be bad for a little while. French fries are actually pretty darn good. They also had six different teas that you could get and your drink would come with or without ice. The drinks are already pre refrigerated I really don't think you needed ice as a watered them down they seem kind of watery enough anyway. I tried the passion fruit tea I'm not sure if there's actually tea in it that it tasted really good and was not sugary at all and was a very light and refreshing drink. The rest of my group had bowls of some sort and I didn't hear a complaint from any one of them. I hope this trend keeps growing cuz it was 12 bucks for lunch it was actually pretty cheap and what I think good for you. read more

The food is delicious but unfortunately their customer service is trash. I came in with my two week old newborn, and the host told me to have a seat outside and she would clear the table. After we were seated another guy came out and told us that there was a wait but he would let us stay seated and come clean the table. They cleaned it and a 3rd woman came and kicked us out. I'm almost never in Brandon, so last time I was there I knew I had to try Ciccio Cali. We arrived around 7 pm on a Friday night and were seated immediately, parking was plentiful as well. We started off with a Frose and a Max-Mosa, both were quite refreshing. After all the recommendations on Yelp, I went with the Hot & Crunchy Tuna over Coconut Cilantro Rice for my entree and my boyfriend went with the Sweet & Smokey over Udon Noodles and added Crispy Chicken. I have to admit, I really thought his meal was way better and I'd definitely order that again. It was super flavorful and the crispy jalapeños complimented the dish perfectly. Don't get me wrong the Hot & Crunchy Tuna wasn't bad, but I think I'd order something else next time. Service was great as well. I didn't enjoy my experience at Cali. My son begged to go because he had been before. He ordered what he put together last time which was VERY simple. Waitress wrote it down and said okay. After a long wait the food came back wrong and the waitress disappeared. Tried to get it fixed on her eventual return. This is on a Monday evening and not busy at all. She brought one thing out and it still wasn't right. Waited again. Finally went up to the counter to seek assistance. They acted confused over a simple request. Waitress came over and gave incorrect information. Finally they figured out what I was asking. It was not complicated at all... meal was fixed after a ton of effort just to get the sauce my son asked for. Then again waiting forever for the check. Never got a drink refill. Then waited forever for the check to get picked up with my card. Another waitress noticed me looking around for her for so long and grabbed the check. Then she disappeared too and my card was gone waaaaay too long for comfort. There were only like 3 tables with a few people at each and two working waitresses. Very frustrating experience over all. The Thai bowl I got had good flavor but was so cold. Not sure if it is supposed to be or not? But would have been much better warm. Noodles tasted like they came out of a fridge. I was excited to try this place but probably won't go back. If the service was more attentive everything could've been fixed early on and got the drink refill etc and I'd have been fine. read more

I quickly scanned their very minimalist menu of salads, bowls, wraps & stir-frys & decided on the Short Rib bowl. We ordered take-out, because I did not like the atmosphere of the place at all. It is hard to describe, but let's just say cheap multi-colored uncomfortable-looking chairs & tables made of cheap plastic, and cheap minimalist decorations to go along with it. Bland, boring & uncomfortable seating to say the least. The food was a-ok, nothing I would write home about. I feel if you are going to offer an exotic touch such as a short rib to a meal, you need to bring out those bold flavors, and Ciccio Cali just did not bring them together. Kinda sad, because I expected more. The dish was served over yellow rice, which was also nothing special. It was a little bit dry, and had I eaten it alone, it would have been boring. The side salad was chopped lettuce leaves which were already browning on the edges, and they did not make a great presentation. But they were crisp and the salad dressing (blue cheese) was tasty. That was the highlight of the meal. I also had a chocolate cupcake. The cake was good and moist, but the frosting was too sweet. The frosting seemed as though it was made with shortening, something I don't like in frosting. I'm not sure if that's a fact, but it tasted as though it was. Would I go back? I don't think so. Unknowingly, I came by for dinner on what happened to be $2 taco day. Not only were the tacos only $2, but they also had $2 draft beer and $2 sangria. No wonder this place was so crowded! Visited this establishment on a Wednesday evening with a friend. We were given the option to sit inside or outside. We opted for outside since it was a beautiful brisk evening. The waitress also asked if we wanted the outdoor heaters on but we were fine. It was about 5 mins to 7pm and that is when their happy hour ends. The waitress notified us of this which we appreciated. I ordered the sangria and my friend order red wine. We also ordered chips and guac as our appetizer. All tasted great. For our entrees, I ordered the tuna crunchy bowl and my friend ordered the brazilian bowl. All I could say was wow it was a flavor bomb I did not expect it to be! The tuna was cooked to perfection. My friend really enjoyed her bowl as well and mentioned the sauce it came with on the side complimented all of the flavors it already had. I came home raving about it to my husband!
