This went from 5 stars to 2 stars in just one month! This makes me sad as I used to love this place. Last time I was here it was a regular full service restaurant (with great staff). Now you have to proceed through a winding line to order; then you get a number and take a seat (a mix between chipotle and ya know, a normal restaurant). The setup is awkward if you're sitting waiting for takeout as everybody looks at the menu right over your head and you're cramped behind the line. Something sad happened with the food as well as the setup. The coconut curry was mediocre and my Brazilian bowl had zero lettuce. The shit part about takeout is I didn't notice until I drove the 10 miles home. Don't think I'll be back for awhile. :-( read more

Stopped in for an early dinner and the place was pretty empty but the service was helpful and good. Our waiter was happy to describe the menu and make suggestions. I had the Hollywood Fit bowl and it was very good. The dried tomatoes had a different texture than I've had before but not a bad taste. The bowl was filling and had a good flavor. It was also good as leftovers the next day! My husband had the pizza and raved over the crust. My son had the buffalo bowl and it was spicy, so much so he couldn't enjoy it but I think the menu description of it did indicate that. Green tea was great! We will return! read more

My fiance' and I had dinner at this location tonight and let me just say..the food and the service was outstanding! I got the boom boom bowl (which is my favorite) and my fiance got the tuna bowl. The food was delicious. Our sever was very polite and sweet even the manager Cody stopped by the table to ensure everything was tasting delicious. This is definitely one of our dinner go to spots. I'm normally a really understanding person when it comes to meals taking A LOT longer than normal to get out. I understand the kitchen can get backed up, some things might need to be cooked longer, etc. Even on busy nights (which when we arrived was definitely NOT the case) the manager might end up comping something or the waiter/waitress might bring out something small for the table to munch on while we wait for our food. Neither was true in this case. We waited over 30 minutes for our dinner while table after table that came in after us got their food before ours. We were one of about 4 tables in the entire place when we got there. No explanation of what was taking so long, no word from the manager, nothing to tide us over, nothing. Just a repeated "it should be coming out soon." We were told the manager was going to come over and talk to us but he just dropped off our food and said, "enjoy!" I honestly can't remember the last time I've had such a bad dining experience. read more

My favorite place to eat! I always get the Thai bowl with brown rice and extra steak. My favorite drink is the Peach Maximosa and I even love the endless mimosas on the weekends. Sadly a bad experience. I was so looking forward to a quiet lunch here today. I ordered the California club wrap. It says it comes with chicken and smashed avocado. However I ate the first half thinking well maybe they put all the chicken in the other half. You know benefit of the doubt. NOPE!! No chicken or avocado at all. I left then decided to speak to the manager so I went back in. She said no ma'am there wasn't any chicken in it but there was avocado. No sweetie there wasn't!!! I am a restaurant manager myself. This is hands down the best spot in Brandon. Unlike the rest of the chains in the area, Ciccio Cali is everything the area needs. After several repeat visits, I can conclude that between the staff and management, to the food and vibe of the restaurant, everything is outstanding! My servers have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful each time, as well as a visit from management to ensure service that exceeded expectations. I am in the hospitality service industry as well, and it was refreshing to see the servers going out of their way to help each other. One thing you must try is their guacamole appetizer!
