A smoothie I got was more of a juice, the cookies were dry and crumbly, I came back here a few months later to try the açaí bowls and they were 100% given to me melted. I live two minutes away, so there is no way it would've melted within transportation time. The smoothies are the consistency of what a juice should be. I usually order matcha at other places and there's way too much milk or sugar which takes away from the taste of the actual matcha but this was different! I had the medium sized Sunshine Bowl. It was unlike anything I'd ever had. Like a sweet bowl with a salty kick on the side. It was really good and the ingredients were really fresh and vibrant in taste. My main critique is that I'd love to see pictures with their menu items. Sometimes it is hard to imagine what some of the items are. For example, "Breakfast Sandwich" might be a bagel with eggs and cheese or maybe bacon and eggs on a muffin or croissant. came here after the gym in the neighborhood of Serra Mesa and was welcomed by two friendly workers. The parking lot is huge and the spot is so convenient for people who live around here. We ordered two Cali bowls, topped with granola, strawberries, banana, blueberries, honey and coconut. They also offer pastries, breakfast sandwiches and cookies from local bakeries. Their hours are so convenient, with surprisingly being open till 9 pm everyday except Sunday, when they close at 7 pm. This is a great little out door coffee and snack bar shack run by a trio of young ladies. I had them make me a Cafe au Lait with the regular Kona roast, a light roast, with 2% for the steam-age. The coffee was great. It had a very light flavor and went down quite smoothly. One of the easiest roasts to go down, I have sipped on. It was so good, that I helped my self to a bit more from the self serve coffee dispenser, but keep lets keep that under wrap. Anyways, they offer a variety of coffees, blends, espressos, etc, and fruit bowls as well. They do have bagels with packaged spreads and some pastries. I was hoping for some toast with a natural spread but they are not at that point yet given the rules and regulation put forth by the city of San Diego. Hopefully in the future they will offer such things as avocado toast, hummus toast, almond toast, etc. The ladies working Cali or totally friendly and each have their distinct warm personality. I have been to sereral stand alone coffee cafes and this one has the best menu I have seen yet. The two women who work there are friendly, fast and efficient. i love that they have a table and stools out front in case you want to sit. The adjacent parking lot is a short fast 10 ft walk to their counter. The prices are very reasonable compared to Starbucks, and they have a wide variety of items on the menu to choose from. Don't let your eyes deceive you! This little cafe IS the place to go for açaí bowls. I'm upset with myself for not coming here sooner. This place is only a 10 min walk from my house. So I decided to enjoy the sun. When I got there, there was no wait and the staff was extremely friendly. By the time I got back home the bowl had melted down a little. The cup wasn't full, latte tasted alright and it was expensive ($8.25). They charged me $1.75 for the oat milk lol. I've never got charged this much for a oat milk in the coffee.
