I have been to Bear Buns only once before, and that time I only stopped in to pick up some holiday cookies. Recently, I had an appointment nearby and had a little extra time to kill before returning to work. I hadn't yet had my coffee or anything to eat, so Bear Buns sounded good. Anyway, I walked in to find that it seemed to be quite the morning hangout for locals. At 8:15AM on a Thursday, there were several tables filled with groups of people chatting, but still plenty of space. I initially had been thinking to forgo breakfast and just enjoy a pumpkin latte, but then I saw a large variety of breakfast sandwiches. Anyway, I chose the turkey and pepperjack croissant to accompany my latte. Unfortunately, they had run out of skim milk, so I had to have the latte with almond milk. The latte was good and not overly sweet, which was a fear of mine, especially given the milk choices. They warmed the sandwich for me and brought it out. It was very simple, but not greasy. The coffee shop was a bit loud, but I think it was mainly due to the boisterous personalities in the groups around me. Otherwise, it was a comfortable place to sit and sip my coffee in the morning.
