If you're looking for a quick spot to grab a coffee or breakfast snack, Cafe Cali is an excellent choice! This coffee shack offers an extensive menu with something for everyone, from a variety of coffee drinks to smoothies, acai bowls, pastries, and other breakfast foods. They even have a massive 32 oz coffee option for the real coffee lovers. On a humid morning, craving something sweet and refreshing, I went for the Java Chip Frappuccino. I'd rate it an 8/10, it satisfied my sweet tooth, but it could've had more chunks of java chips, which were somewhat lost in the blending. Nevertheless, the flavor was there. My girlfriend chose the Raspberry Cupcake Iced Coffee with oat milk and also rated it an 8/10. She really liked the drink's sweetness and its resemblance to an actual cupcake. The pastries at Cafe Cali pair great with the coffee. We shared a Lemon Poppy Scone and a Maple Scone. The Lemon Poppy Scone had the perfect balance of lemon flavor without being overpowering, making it our favorite. The Maple Scone was good but didn't have as much flavor. Both pastries had a light icing on top, adding a nice level of sweetness to the scones. Definitely recommend getting the scones warmed up, this made the bread incredibly soft. There was a decent-sized line when we showed up, the staff was efficient, and it didn't take more than five minutes to receive our drinks and scones after ordering. Cali café is the newest smoothie/ coffee joint in Serra Mesa that my husband and I have been sticking around since we found out our old barista Marlene started working there, we've been following her coffee career for the last 8 years and she's just the best at what she does! This small spot has from smoothies, açaí bowls, top notch cookies and very good coffee; we've been here a couple times and the service has been great! Very helpful, friendly, drinks made to order in minutes and this girl still works lines very well. I absolutely loved their açaí red dragon smoothie, and an almond cortado I got last time; they use Ghirardelli dark chocolate for mochas and it's the best thing ever Prices are on par with other shops l, flavors and service however, much better. This is my go to coffee stop, the customer service that Cat and LaLA bring every morning that I stop bye, is undeniably excellent. They know exactly what I want in before I even I can say it. They take the time to really remember your name and drink selections even if it was just a one time occurrence. Thanks again ladies your wonderful at all you do there. I definitely would recommend this amazing coffee stop to anyone in the area. There food choices and coffee selection is amazing. I'm so glad this place opened up! I'm a big fan of açaí bowls myself and this place has hands down the best ones ! They make their bowls from scratch and use no artificial products ! I like going early in the morning right before class to get my coffee fix and a bomb bagel with cream cheese! Every time I go in Marlene hooks it up with suggestions and they never disappoint! I recently took a trip to the San Diego area and stopped in to Cali Café on two occasions. I had some the best coffee and a wonderful smoothie. The atmosphere was so quaint and down to earth. Cargo cafe is nestled in the center of the Irvine group business building and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (both shaded and not). This cafe is an excellent space to study, catch up, take business meetings, and all the above. They serve food, smoothies, coffee/tea, Matcha, and açai bowls. I had the chicken pesto sandwich, which was actually pretty good and the peanut butter cold brew cold foam, which was fantastic. The service is great, the space is very clean and there are restrooms available inside the building. Parking is validated for two hours and the view that you have is peaceful and tranquil. This shop is INSIDE of LA Fitness (on the left as you walk in)…read more I almost gave up looking for this place because I couldn't find it from outside, but I'm so glad I went into LA Fitness and asked. This shop is ran by a very sweet man named Roy! He has been running this shop for 18 years. He was very kind and has a variety of smoothies available. You can even add protein to your drink :)
