Yummy drinks, friendly service, and cute cozy atmosphere! Eowyn is a lovely barista and made our visit great Forget the Starbucks or Better Buzz, enjoy this local coffee shop's sips!

The shop. Where you order and the little merch area.

My friend and I checked out a different coffee shop each week and this one has some great themed drinks. It's tucked away in a outdoor shopping area kind of like a strip mall but not really. It's a very simple little coffee shop with great drinks. We had no problem getting a seat inside and I think there was a few out seats as well. Free parking right in front and there's also free street parking. The staff was friendly. There's also one little section of the shop where they have some merch for sale. Stickers cups shirts etc. They also have a little mini free giving library in the shop which I think is a really good idea. So if you want to hang out grab a book and enjoy your cup of coffee. I got one of the special drinks it was a Reese's coffee of some sort. My friend and I both really liked mine. Prices were decent. I think my drink was six or seven dollars which is expected for a blended coffee drink

Pitaya Bowl & Hawaiian Creme Brûlée

4 stars for the pitaya bowl! So refreshing, flavorful and great way to start the day! Also got the Hawaiian Creme Brûlée Latte. I'm not tasting the Hawaiian side of it but it's ok. Nothing crazy about it. Come for the Açaí and Pitaya bowls!

Parking lot was hard to get to due to the street construction. When we came into the store it has a decent amount of space for seating. There were even some people working or studying. The barista was nice and took orders and finished very quickly. My daughter both got iced matcha lattes from the menu and thought it was just okay. My daughter said it tastes like Coffee Bean's matcha latte in that it's more like a light green tea flavor with a lot of white chocolate taste. We wouldn't get it again and think Starbucks new matcha is better.

This is a really cute little spot in Clairemont, though parking can be tricky if the lot is full. There was a short line to order, which makes sense for the weekend. The staff was warm and friendly, and I appreciated that they offer "for here" cups. Their bagel selection looked amazing, and it's definitely a nice place to study or work. The only downside was how noisy it was--not from the customers, but from the baristas preparing drinks. Hopefully that's something they can improve on.

You have to ask for their ceremonial grade matcha when ordering! Luckily I asked and got it with oat milk. It was delicious and reasonably priced. There's not a lot of parking in the lot and it does get busy They have a tropical and casual vibe!

When drinking is frowned upon during working hours, the Guinness at Clairemont Coffee is the perfect happy medium! The lucky matcha takes just like a lucky charm! Overall an awesome place to come enjoy coffee and get some work done!

Unfortunately my first visit didn't go well. I had iced coffee, scone, and corn pasta salad. The scone was ok but the rest of my order wasn't great. I didn't finish them. I wouldn't come back in the future.

    Chia tea latte.

I'm on the fence on this place. I came here on Sunday morning, which I don't recommend. Pretty sure they exceeded fire guidance on number of people in this place. I see why, chia tea was delicious. Went back on Monday because I am a serial chia junkie and don't want to support Starbucks. Ordered a chia tea and bagel with cr cheese. Don't mind the bite taken out of the bagel, it's good but I am also a cr cheese lover. This didn't cut it. I want cr cheese on my entire bagel. However, the bagel was really good. I am a very service oriented shopper. The reviews talk about how wonderful the employees are. I am not getting that vibe it was a turn and burn vibe. Call out could not be heard for order. If they used my name like most that would help. Overall this place is good but you have to be ok with it taking a really really long time. Monday I walked right up to order and it still was over 10 minutes to get my tea. Bagel came out fast but tea was slow.

They let drinks sit and don't call them out you can stand around like a dummy and they just chatting letting drinks pile up. They put notes on cups and expect you to know which is your drink . It can get crowded so it's annoying, one cup of coffee can have you standing forever . They are more focus on their own conversations w each other than actually helping or calling drinks out. 8 dolls later n my anxiety to the roof . I live nearby n stopped coming for this reason try them again n reminded myself why I stopped.

The first two times I ordered at the shop and they're is usually a line with a couple people and a wait for your drink. Considering the crowd, the wait was reasonable but I wish I didn't have to wait. So the third time I ordered online and I love that I was able to walk in and pick up really quickly. The parking is OK. that little shopping center that it's located in isn't the prettiest. The inside is typical dark coffee shop with seating. Not like the newer trend of coffee shops with brighter modern decor.

It's local, convenient, and surprisingly affordable for today's prices... under $5 for a latte, which is a total win. There's no indoor seating since it's a tiny booth, but there's plenty of parking if you want to walk up and grab your coffee. We tried 4 different flavors of their sunflower egg tarts, and all were solid. The crusts were sooo crispy and flakey and buttery. The corn cheese sunflower tart was probably my favorite flavor we tried. I'm a sucker for savory things and I think the salty flavors really worked with this tart. The original sunflower tart was my second favorite. It was classic, yummy, not too sweet. The matcha creme brulee one had a strong pleasant matcha flavor. It was a little bit too sweet for me though, definitely good for sharing. The tiramisu one was my least favorite because of how sweet it was. It was still decent tho! The slight bitterness of the cocoa powder did help balance out some of the sweetness tho. If you have a super big sweet tooth, I'd recommend this one! No seating inside unfortunately. Kristen the employee who always greeted and helped me out recommended a bunch of options and my absolute favorite is the Crème Brulee Egg Tart. Every time I visit, I make sure to get one fresh out of the oven. It's incredibly creamy, melts in your mouth, and has the perfect level of sweetness without being overly sweet. My second favorite is the Chocolate Boba Egg Tart. The chocolate and boba complement the egg tart really well. The crunchy little boba balls aren't too sticky, and the sweetness is nicely balanced. The Espresso Egg Tart comes in third. It has a smooth, mellow coffee flavor that's not overpowering and pairs well with the creamy custard. As for the Dubai Chocolate Egg Tart, it's very crunchy and not overly sweet. However, the chocolate layers were so chunky that I couldn't really taste much of the egg tart itself. The Ube Cheese Egg Tart was creamy, soft, and gooey with a strong ube (sweet potato-like) flavor. While it was enjoyable, I couldn't really taste much of the cheese. Overall, this is my go-to place for egg tarts, especially when they're fresh from the oven. It's mostly a pick-up and go location but the service is fast. It's spacious inside and has an area to take photos. If you're visiting, I highly recommend trying the Crème Brulee Egg Tart!
