    Arepa Pabellon and Catira
    S F.

Colocated with Catos Tacos in an spacious food truck park, this small food stand serves up massive arepas. One arepa is a meal and then some. The filling in the pabellon and catira arepas were savory and well done. The tostones were fun and crunchy. Service was fast less than 10 mins, considering they make the arepas to order. I wish the arepa itself was a bit crispier on the outside. It was a thick. It reminded me more of a pupusa in texture than an arepa.

Had their beef tostones while they were stationed outside Blue Oak Brewing, and they absolutely hit the spot. Would definitely recommend

We had the Arepas from their mobile team, it would be well worth it to follow them around the valley, so good!

I had to get this for my aunt and niece to try!!! I especially love the fact I can eat Arepas because they don't have monosodium glutamate/MSG in their ingredients! So many Mexican dishes, Spanish rice for instance, have MSG in it! I'm highly allergic to my own cultural food and it's very annoying for me! Now that I found other Latin cuisines that don't cook with MSG, I am extremely thrilled!! I loved the whole set up with the great environment and Latin music playing in the background. It made me want to dance! They have a beautiful outdoor patio lake area and a very colorful relaxing inside seating area as well! Since I got takeout, I was able to call ahead and order and even get a discount since I ordered online and it was my first time purchase!! I will definitely be back and I wanna try one of their drinks. Also the fresh juice looks amazing!! The flavors had a good spice and everything was fresh and crisp!! I love fresh lettuce with the refreshing tomatoes!! I am definitely a fan!!

Its in a nice area and the plaza its in is pretty empty so parking is super easy. When you walk in theres a hostess stand and you need to wait so you can be seated. Its a cute restaurant. Has a large TV. Super casual. The server my husband and I had was super nice. We ordered: -Blackberry juice -Colombiana -Pacfico -Morcilla con papas -1 beef empanada -1 chicken empanada -Bandeja paisa The food and drinks all came out in like 5min. Super quick! The empanadas were really good, well seasoned. Morcilla was delicious! The potatos are not seasoned but you can salt them yourself. They come with 2 sauces one thats guacamole and the other was tapatio based, which was disappointing because it should come with aji. The bandeja paisa was okay. The only thing I didnt like about it was the ground beef. I will be back to try other dishes.

Came here on a weeknight and in the middle of our meal they set up speakers and there was a comedy show in Spanish. Just not what we were expecting as we were looking for a place to eat where we could have a conversation. The food had nice flavors, but the quality of the meat was hit or miss. One plate had nice tender beef while the other one was very tough.

Milohas (mil hojas) means a thousand layers in Spanish, and one taste of Milohas' pastries will make you understand why they picked that moniker. The Good: * Large shared parking lot * Friendly service * Covered outdoor dining * The crust of the empanadas was buttery, flaky, and delicious. All the fillings were good, but you have to try the Hawaiian filling! It was truly fantastic and had us wishing that's all we'd ordered. * Guava Finger has the same perfect crust and tasty guava jam--I could eat a dozen of these and come back for more. *oink oink* * Carissa really enjoyed their lentil soup. I didn't try it, so I can't comment. The Meh: * I kind of prefer the chunks of meat in Peruvian empanadas to the ground meat in Colombian ones, but that's just a personal preference. It was still delicious, so at the end of the day, it's all academic. The Ugly: * No indoor dining, and outdoor dining is limited to only a handful of seats. Conclusion: We've been on the hunt for the best empanadas in the South Bay, and we finally found them.

Every time I showed up it was closed. Never had their food. Cut to recently and there is now a Colombian food stall! Ironic yes? Now Ill have to tell my Colombian friend this even though they dont live nearby anymore. I will often make a sandwich or pizza run at the building next door but I decided to check out something new. I guess they are open normally on the weekend evenings but I happened upon a lunch special where they were serving Calentado which is rice beans chorizo and a fried egg plus a mixture of coal roasted/barbecued meats called picada. I'd had the picada at Juancho's deep in San Jose a while back so I figured Id do a comparison. Now with Juancho's it's a big restaurant and they have a large grill setup, plus the items are grilled to order as the flow is constant. At Patacom, they only have the one barrel with coals and it's 2 people working so they have to cook and keep it warm, so you dont get the straight off the grill freshness. However the pork and beef were both very well seasoned and had good flavor. I guess it would be best to catch them right at opening. THe meats also come with an arepa topped with cheese, boiled potatoes, yucca and plantains. So it's a pretty hearty meal. Id definitely come back and try some of their regular items at some point, especially if they do the bandeja paisa which seems to be the most widespread item I've seen amongst Colombians. And next time for the picada gotta show up right at opening!
