We started with the Arepitas de la Casa, deep-fried, slightly sweet arepitas filled with lots of cheese. Delicious and comforting. Then we tried the Patacón, which used sweet plantain as the base and was topped with shredded chicken, beef, chicharrón (pork belly), chorizo, and corn. So good! We also got the Picada, which included llanera-style grilled steak and pork (both super tender), plus potatoes, sweet plantains, and yucca fries. And to top it off, it came with a warm bowl of sancocho, one of Colombia's most traditional soups.
