When I wrote my original review, we went when this was solely a fast casual concept, not a restaurant. I don't mind that it's both a fast casual concept and a restaurant if they truly decided to be both. For example, they still don't have coffee mugs, only to go coffee cups. If you're going to have both, make the restaurant aspect of it worth it. Instead, because of how they've it laid out, I always feel rushed while eating and never really understand why I'm paying for service since the drinks, etc. were made to be self service. Either way, we still keep coming back here because of how delicious the food is and we've never had bad service. I only wish if they are going to decide to be both types of restaurants than they have both type of feels. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in South Tampa. It is my go to for lunch or if I've made it back in town from work. The pizza never ever disappoints! Their bowls and vegetables are a mystery to me. They grill or cook their broccoli so well and so tasty that the kiddos eat it mixed with the rice and it's... well a mystery. I'll take it! Drinks are super tasty and refreshing. I normally eat take out but the two times I've been inside, it is clean and SUPER cold. Bring a cardigan or sit outside. Everyone is super nice and polite. WOW!! I really enjoyed my experience here today. Great service and even better food. I got the hot honey pizza and it is a MUST try even if you're not a fan of hot things it doesn't leave that lingering sting at all. My boyfriend got the lean n clean bowl as recommended and ate every bite! After we were done the manager Dustin personally came out and asked us how are food and time was and even gave us delicious cookies as first time guests!! The s'mores is to die for. Cali is such a nice addition to the area for quick casual fresh food. And conceptually it has a nice menu and feel in the restaurant. But for the love of god learn how to make coffee. You dedicate space the size of your line to beverage and consistently serve warm coffee and now (today)the espresso is at best warm. I ordered extra hot 4 shot americano and it came iced first. Ok no biggie. I asked for extra hot. ( in the hopes it would be hotter than the drip. When it finally came in the middle of breakfast ( as usual) they have zero urgency in the coffee area ... it came just warm. Straight from the espresso machine. It's so annoying it's off my breakfast list. South Tampa has a ton of breakfast spots that understand and actually listen when you beg for hot coffee. Since this was my third try and they actually left a $6 coffee on a bill when I said it wasn't hot I am done. I'm certainly not asking for anything a mr coffee at a motel 6 does better. Normally have a great experience here but last night was not so great. - Tried to order online...said "no available times" - Called ahead to order pick-up. Said it would be ready in 20 minutes. - Entered the stores 30 minutes after the phone call. Food wasn't ready. And then they said they didn't have the pizza anymore. 30 minutes after ! - Ended up waiting 30 more minutes to place a new order. There was one person working two registers. Terrible experience. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. I don't care to leave reviews too often but I took my BF here for a quick bday brunch and he had so many options which isn't usually the case as a vegetarian. My new obsession!!! It is March 31st, 2019, and I discovered Cali about 6 weeks ago and have managed to go 6 times already and bring friends, and order in for co-workers because it is that good and that reliable. This is one of those restaurants you can trust when it comes to referring it to others. Here's the weird thing, I'm not a healthy eater and their food is pretty darn healthy and I love it. I get the Sweet & Smokey bowl the way they recommend it and it is like Heaven on the taste buds. They have the healthy soda (whatever that means) and although I like Coke products, it isn't bad. The prices are fair and the service is excellent. They are very conscientious and ask if you if you have any food allergies. The decor is fresh and clean and reminds you of California. I was disappointed when I scheduled my order 1hr in advance & then received a cold Brazilian bowl & cold spicy burrito. I was denied any sort of compensation for the cold food & I've ordered from the restaurant numerous times & this was the first complaint. The cold food & inability to resolve the issue, ( even though I spent $$ with them 4 to 5x) caused me to cancel my uber membership, change my rating to bad & turned me off from continuing service with the restaurant. read more

I decided to come here for the vegan options and left with so much more. The service is always consistently friendly, welcoming and efficient. The healthy options offer a wide selection of options for everyone. But on top of that, the healthy options are so delicious and do not lack flavor at ALL (which can be tricky with healthy foods). They're killin' the game. The atmosphere is wonderful paired with the best staff. Couldn't ask for more from my visits with this restaurant. It has been awhile since I've received that great of customer service. It makes a huge difference. Our waitress knew exactly what we needed before we even said it. Thanks so much Cali! I went today with my husband the hostess seating us right away to the bar area after5 minutes later she told us isn't service at the bar then we understand the situation because we also own a restaurant but We don't understand why they don't know that since the beginning anyway we put our last name at the waiting list waiting for about 15 minutes when those hostess told us is going to be around 20 minutes waiting but suddenly a couple just came to the booth and they seat them at the bar when they told us isn't service really? They got service right away what a shame how bad is that then we desired to leave because that's very disrespectful sounds like they have preferences and choose the people to eat in this restaurant probably DISCRIMINATE perfect word to this case and we are in the business we never want to go back to this place never again. read more

I went to this place for dinner, and overall I was impressed. I got the Mexican bowl, it was similar to Chipotle but I could tell it was better ingredients. The prices were fair and the service was great. I believe this would a good place for take-out if you are in the area. I usually prefer to eat in places but their food is convenient for on the go. The only thing I didn't like about this place was the parking lot, there were almost no spaces with the place not even crowded. The spots are also very small. read more

First time visitor to this restaurant in south Tampa. As I walked in on this particular Sunday, was surprised to have a live acoustic guitarist playing. Really added to the ambiance. The waitress we had was very attentive. I ordered the Spicy Brazilian Bowl with steak...and all I can say is WOW! It was fantastic! The manager, on hearing this was our first visit, surprised us with a free cookie (AWESOME cookie at that!). The final surprise I had on this visit was that there is a franchise in my town of Brandon! So, now my visits to Cali will involve a much shorter drive. Fantastic place! I will NOT be a stranger.
