Being from out of town and this was the first place we stopped at in Florida, they set the bar very high but also made us feel very welcome and that's just the management. So I've been here before and order to go, 2 of my 4 orders were completely incorrect and barely had any ingredients in them. Come to find out they changed the menu items with the kitchen but didn't change the menus, they were kind enough to refund the money for those 2 orders. A few months later decided to give this place another go since it's the ciccio group it must have been a fluke! Whelp I was wrong! I immediately let the girl no that I was GF, VF, and DF- the place is awesome about labeling the items for different diets and lifestyles. After taking her recommendations for the hot & crunchy and the crispy lentil bites as my protein, she asked if I had any restrictions - I told her GF, DF and VF she immediately tells me that the sriracha aioli has Mayo - I told her it must be vegan mayo because it blatantly says VF. She goes and talks to a manager to confirm then tells me that the owner was supposed to take VF off of the menu and didn't! WTH! Oh and while I'm waiting for her to get back to me on alternative sauces that I can have they run out of crispy lentils! WTH x2! I almost walked out but the girl at the register was extremely apologetic and had great customer service. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is for the 2 times I've been here and the customer service has been phenomenal! And the girl who saved me from eating non vegan mayo as a vegan! She even doubled checked my order to make sure it was correct and had the correct VF, GF, DF items in it! She deserves a raise! read more

stumbled into this place because was looking for a healthy / bolay type of place to eat in tampa. i appreciate that this place is a step above and different from ciccio cali. dont think that its the same thing! pretty good food, healthy, and the service was great. i also had the blue latte or something like that that was not bad! PROTIP: has a short coffee bar which is nice for those that just want to pop in real quick or for single eaters. will be back for more for sure to try more on their menu. but good job cali! read more

A new fav spot! The food was amazing here. We had avocado hummus and garlic edamame that were perfectly seasoned and quickly gobbled up. The kids had popcorn chicken with fries and loved it. The adults had an Asian salad and two of the custom bowls. The blackened chicken and buffalo cauliflower were standouts! The chef came out to say hello and deliver our cookies at the end of the meal. We got s'mores and chocolate chip cookies which didn't last long. They were huge and perfectly THICK with melty, good chocolate. Great stop on our way out today Tampa! Dining in is not a bad experience but recently, I had a craving and zero time so I decided to get my usual to go; Big Italy with steak and spaghetti squash. I was satisfied with the portion size but it was the quality of the broccoli (mainly stalks that were super tough-maybe they thought I needed the fiber), the spaghetti squash had loads of skin which made it seem like eating plastic and the 'steak' chunks were so rubbery that even my dog gave up on chewing and just left it alone....Service was awesome though! read more

This was our first experience at Cali.. i had a tuna rice bowl, my son had a meat pizza and my daughter had a bowl of veggies.. My son absolutely loved the pizza and said it was the beat he ever had (note: he is 11) :) .. my daughter had the veggie bowl and she was not impressed over the very small 5.00 bowl of charred vegetables.. probably would not order that again.. i had the tuna rice bowl.. the tuna was seared Nd placed over a bed of rice with an avocado topping and mayo/sirancha sauce.. it was in a melamine bowl which i did not care for.. would have preferred glass or ceramic as it felt cheap or panera bread like to eat off this material.. the food was ok nothing special but ok for lunch. I've ordered through Uber Eats here before but today was my first time sitting here and eating. You order at the register and then get your number and sit. I think what I found very impressive was the options for vegetarians or vegans. I would say it's one of the few restaurants out there that are putting those customers in the forefront of their minds. It has options to add meat to every bowl, (suggested proteins) but you don't lose the flavor because you've opted out of eating meat. They seem to have a lot of healthy choices (even some healthy sweet treats) and homemade juices available. The price is up there but I can taste the quality so I don't mind. Went to this location and the service did not meet the standards set by other locations. We walked in and were told to sit wherever we liked and that someone would be right with us. We proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes until a server saw we had no menus. She then gave us menus and said our server would be right with us. So clean space with a subdued atmosphere but relaxing feel. I have to say as far as I know this is the Ciccio's restaurant group at an attempt for a more vegetarian or vegan restaurant. What we really got was another fresh kitchen just with a different look. Same type food the same menu with different names. The food took 3 times as long as fresh kitchen . My main issue with CALI so little veggies in my dish for a more vegetarian friendly restaurant. I called and ordered CALI takeout tonight - the employee who answered the phone, Erica, was super friendly and nice. I arrived and didn't realize there was a separate entrance for to-go pickup, so I waited in line for a few minutes before I asked someone if I had to wait to pick up a to-go order and was directed to a separate area. My husband got the sweet and smoky with grilled chicken and I got the gigante with crispy chicken. We both did the cilantro rice as our bases. My husband really liked his bowl - I tried it and thought it was tasty. But admittedly, my gigante bowl was disappointing. I was expecting it to contain avocado, but after I reread the menu, I'm wondering if somehow the buffalo sauce on the cauliflower had avocado in it and that's the avocado reference in the description. Speaking of cauliflower, I only got two small pieces of it. If I hadn't paid to add chicken, my dish would have literally been rice and 2 bites of cauliflower with tons of fried onion. The fried onions on top were in huge clusters/clumps. The dish was just missing something. It was missing the celery, so I think that could've added some texture and freshness. Or maybe lime would have helped? Or if I had gotten it over lettuce instead of rice? Just not a fan. So, 5 stars for great service and my husband's bowl, 2 stars for my gigante bowl. We stopped by Cali for Saturday brunch and happened to pick a day and time when a huge party was occupying the entire restaurant. It wasn't closed for a private event but the group literally taking up every table. We were seated at the bar. From the moment we took our seats the service was truly impeccable. Despite being slammed the staff joked with us, explained the menu items, made suggestions. They were just truly pleasant genuinely nice people who made what could have been a really annoying experience (the group was louuuuudddd lol) into one that we reflected on very positively. Also the food was very yummy. We ordered the Cali and tex next bowls. Simple, healthy food with good flavors. Portions are good (I hate too much food especially with breakfast stuff. Who wants to reheat eggs??). And we also got our orders really fast especially seeing that they were so busy and despite the crowd the man who appeared to be the head chef dropped our food off to us and came back to make sure it was good. OMG this place is amazing. So glad I discovered it. I'm not 100% vegan, but I like to have the option, and in general gravitate towards whole foods. Cali is a truly wonderful balance of healthy and indulgent. The vegan burrito is an epiphany... the jackfruit looks so much like shredded pork, it's almost freaky. Also, I love it when a place includes non-alcoholic / non-soda drink options... the fresh juices here are on point. Yet there are also cool microbrews, agua fresca, and more. The menu is so flexible, it can fit ANYBODY and any mood. The in-restaurant dining experience is great, the staff is awesome, and the prices are fair/bordering on cheap for what you get. I'll try the delivery option when I have less time. I'm thankful that Cali exists, and will continue to support them... I wish there were more options out there like this. read more

IMO its a little pricey but it is good quality food with many options. I had the spicy Brazilian on spaghetti squash (I've had this at their other location and couldn't bring myself to order something else because I love it so much), artichoke appetizer and red sangria. The artichokes come with the same chili Caesar sauce that comes on top of the spicy Brazilian. It's dangerously delicious. The sangria was nothing to brag about, I would not get it again. read more

I called my order in. Asked to speak with the manager. Matt answered and I told him about my nightshade allergy ( tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, all spicy foods) and asked him to check the ingredients of everything before I ordered. We put together a bowl and I picked it up. I started eating it on the way back to work and my mouth started burning after the first couple bites. I freaked out and drive back to the restaurant and asked to see the ingredients list because I knew I'd eaten something spicy. Turns it that everything in the bowl has jalapeños added at some point. The coconut rice, beans, guac and lentil bites. They refunded me but I had already eaten the food. I spent the rest of day throwing up whatever was left in my stomach and a month after that with severe inflammation, seizures and digestive problems. If you have food sensitivities go somewhere else. It's been a nightmare, all for some mediocre food. read more

Had a great experience for our first trip into Cali! Our service was quick, the food was delicious, and even the manager was nice enough to stop by our table and see how our first experience was going. We were so pleased with the great quality of food for a decent price, and the atmosphere with the live music was such a great touch! I ordered the hot and crunchy with the chargrilled steak over sticky rice. The combo bowl is outstanding. I saw Chef Sherrick prepare the bowl with ingredients that make it absolutely delicious. The steak is tender and flavorful, the jicama, green onion and more combine with a perfect guacamole topped over sticky rice with a tantalizing sauce and fried thin onions. Could not wait to get home and eat it. I have a selection of eight more combo bowls to go, I think. The dining room is modern and comfortable with outdoor seating , fair prices, wine and beer, and friendly and accommodating staff. Say hello to the Chef. We DoorDashed Cali while in Tampa and LOVED it. My vegetarian heart and soul was soooo happy with the choice. I was worried about broccoli and cauliflower being mushy from either the cooking or the ride over via DoorDash and everything was exactly the crunchy/softness expected. My husband had the gigante bowl with coconut avocado and loved it. He said it was spicy but not unnecessarily hot. We also had the garlic lime edamame and literally were like messy kids eating it, just dripping in delicious sauce.
