Californians love shortening words: totes soce medes presh adorbz bro gnar You get the idea. However, with the exceptions of "L.A." and "LAX", don't you DARE shorten their words. They don't like "San Fran", "Frisco", or even "Cali". I love Cali (the restaurant) though. They offer a series of bowls which are highly customizable. If you have a weird diet (keto, vegetarian, paleo, vegan, GF, etc) or are just trying to eat less of something (carbs, sugar), this place is perfect. I got the Brazilian Spicy bowl. I chose spaghetti squash as my base. Rare that you can swap out what is usually a carbs only affair (rice, noodles, potatoes, etc) with vegetables! It's probably the most-filling healthy meal I've ever eaten, it was fantastic. The cocktails are also really good, really fresh, and really affordable. Think of a place with fancy, over-priced juices/smoothies....now think about those things costing the same price...but they have alcohol in them! Also, Katlyn, our server, was incredible! This was my initial and primary location. Staff are always friendly and food fresh. Tried several plates over the past 13 months. Cali bowl, French toast, honey pizza, kids quesadilla (surprisingly) are all delicious. Love the customizable options to include almond ricotta or plant-based cheese. Great option after the gym. A very different kind of restaurant but deathly worth checking out. A lot of California flare to their food foods so if you're home safe for California or you want to get a taste of California, this is a great place to start. Definitely recommend trying the sourdough pizza, I recommend the supreme pizza, and the cookies are wicked delicious. They have plain chocolate chip and s'mores I recommend the s'mores. As far as appetizers, the garlic edamame is fantastic along with the popcorn chicken with their own special garlic, avocado, aïoli sauce. Two of my favorite dishes are spicy Brazilian bowl and the Thai bowl. Definitely a fusion of California flavor which traditional flavors of those two countries. The atmosphere is very calming and it's an open air kitchen. You can see everything going on here and chatting me back there. It's worth a trip whether you're in Tampa Palms, Saint Petes, South Tampa or wherever. read more

We went to order my family's favorite salad ever, which was the Asian Salad. It's no longer on the menu and the replacements are super boring!!! Terrible management decision. High quality food and lots of flavor. I haven't been at Cali's in a while, but this place it's so great. We had a Fajita bowl and a Mexican bowl both with steak. The meat was very tender and flavorful. We also had agua fresca, one with cucumber and the other with ginger, they were both very refreshing. I had my first taste of Cali at an office work party. I believe they ordered the Cali Club Wraps. They were absolutely scrumptious. I've never had a wrap with so much flavor. I had to find out where they were from and go back to see what else was on the menu. I took my hubby when we were in S. Tampa running errands and he loved it too. He tried the Spicy Rio Burrito and a side of broccoli--and was so happy with his selections. I again had the California Club Wrap and it was just as delicious as I had remembered. They have a wide selection of healthy options. I would be interested in trying a flatbread or bowl next time. If you're in the area, give them a try. Note: this is a sit-down restaurant. The only issue I ever had was cross-contaminating proteins, but I'm happy to say I did not experience that today. What a great experience my wife and I had eating here. We checked out of our hotel and stopped her with all our luggage to eat before heading to the airport. The staff was so nice and cleared a spot next to our table where we could store our luggage. Our server was Giovanni, he was knowledgable of the menu, kind and showed interested in our vacation plans and how it went while we were in Florida. The food was so good! After our meal a man approached our table, I believe a manager, and offered us two cookies since it was our first time there! Definitely recommend this place, great vibe too. read more

I think this is a great lunch option. Good amount of seating both indoors and out. Their speciality is bowls. There is, oddly enough, pizza on the menu. Not quite sure about that one. Guess I shouldn't knock it till I try it. The crunchy tuna bowl was spectacular. I requested chop sticks because it just seemed more appropriate for the meal. The fish was excellent and very fresh. All the toppings were crisp and delightful and went very well together. I even enjoyed the hummus platter for an appetizer. Flavors were well done. One simple word...flavor! This was my first time here and I will surely be back again. I chose the Spicy Rio Burrito with roasted broccoli and a lavender ginger Agua Fresca. I will even go as far to say that this was my favorite burrito I've had. The wrap was so light and the perfect thickness to hold everything in while at the same time providing such an easy bite into all the packed deliciousness. Cali also didn't shy away from using guacamole...too often places skimp on it and you lose that great consistency good guac offers. Then my favorite part about it was just the abundant flavors and how they played off each other perfectly with a little kick of heat on the finish. That said, the roasted broccoli were outstanding as well. Again, great flavors and made me rethink how I will make my oven roasted broccoli in the future. The agua Fresca was so refreshing and not packed with crazy sugar like so many other places I've tried. The lavender ginger was fantastic and next time I think I will try the dragonfruit. For a final note, our waitress was the sweetest and so friendly. Just such a friendly personality and when bringing a the check she told us since we were new visitors we could choose free cookies! When you eat out, it's such a pleasure to have someone with such a happy persona to enhance the overall experience. Cali left such a great first experience in our minds and we will most definitely be back here again when in the area. I think I am going to have to get the same burrito again the next visit, just because I absolutely loved it, but following visits I will start trying some other menu items such as their bowls as they looked incredible as well. What more can I say about this latest opening of a Ciccio that I haven't already? Same great recipes and healthy options and some not so healthy baked goods in the display case. I do love this location bc it's next door to Cyclebar. I was concerned about the parking situation, but their reserved spots are only on weekdays during the dinner rush. I ordered their Thai Bowl with Seared Tuna and Udon noodles! The sauce was light and their fish was cooked very well. The bowl is not very spicy, in my opinion, but does leave just enough for a tingle on your lips. We also ordered their chips and guacamole hummus, as an appetizer and I highly recommend it. It was spicer than I anticipated but still good for its value at $9. I feel I should order something healthier next time.
