This was my first time visiting a Cyber Cafe! I had not heard of the concept before my visit. If you're interested in visiting a cyber cafe, your chance of finding one in the U.S. is likely the highest in Silicon Valley! I was passing through the area around 10:30 pm on a Sunday, had a late-night craving for popcorn chicken, and found this cafe on Yelp. Upon arrival, we saw a "greeting table" with a QR code to view the menu and order in addition to some local advertisements. We ordered popcorn chicken to go ($7.99 plus $0.25 extra charge for to-go orders) via the online menu before taking a seat. The menu specified that there would be 200 g of popcorn chicken in the order. A few people were working on laptops at a long table and some used the PCs available to rent for a fee. The cafe was mostly quiet as customers seemed enthralled in their work/games. You could hear the occasional chatter or reactions of the gamers, but this was not very frequent or loud during our visit. Our order was ready within 10 minutes and was packaged in a to-go box. The staff brought the order to us and we left shortly after. I was a little disappointed by the popcorn chicken. I expected more "traditional" popcorn chicken, perhaps seasoned with garlic powder, pepper, salt, basil, etc. However, the taste and shape of the popcorn chicken differed from what you would usually receive at a boba shop. This popcorn chicken order resembled dino nuggets rolled into crispy, mini balls. We came around 4pm, and all the lights were off. I asked the woman twice to turn the lights on so my daughter could study and she just ignored me. Food and drinks are expensive for undercooked fries, and the popcorn chicken looked like small pellets. This place is a study/gaming cafe. I would say if you are trying to get work done bring some headphones and bring a food. The food I would say is okay here but you have to buy something to study here. They will bug you to buy something if you been there for an hour or two without buying anything. It's pretty cold in there and the lights get pretty low at times. I would say if you are someone who can study in loud areas then this is the place for you. I have tried their fries, taro drink with boba, Thai tea with boba and without. I would say if you don't want to be constantly in the bathroom I would not get the boba there. The bathroom is motion detected so if you don't move it will turn off on you. So you will be using the bathroom in the dark at some point. read more

If you like fruity drinks try the Strawberry Passion Fruit! It was pretty calm for a Friday night but I noticed they had a good amount of online orders so the drinks took a while to come out. This place is great for a late-night place to study and hang out with friends - it's also pretty close to my house and it's somewhere that I feel like I'd come more often. I haven't tried out the gaming PCs but it's on my list to try them out sometime. Very quiet and calm when me and my friend went.they brought our food to where we were sitting and the food was yummy.

Being a food snob from Northern California who is used to eating organic and high quality food, I wasn't sure about this place when I drove up to it. It's in a strip mall and didn't look very clean from the outside. As soon as I stepped inside, I was transported into a Japanese cultural experience. Far beyond boba and ramen, there were rows of computer stations with headsets for customers to use. There were unusual fake flowers and stuffed emoji art on the walls. I ordered my ramen without chicken, because usually the chicken from places like this is factory farmed and disgusting. Then I sat down to start working on my computer. The cafe was actually very clean with pleasant ambient music that helped me focus and uplifted my mood. The sweet grandmotherly woman who was working came out from behind the counter with an egg in a dish. She didn't speak English very well, but was able to communicate that she was offering to put this egg in my ramen as a substitute for the chicken. I said yes, delighted to get protein in my dish. When she brought the ramen, it was the perfect temperature, delicious, and the egg was cured and also scrumptious. The broth was so good it must've been homemade despite the fact that they had instant ramen cups decorating their counter. There was also fresh bok choy, shredded carrots, and corn in my ramen, making it feel like somewhat of a balanced meal served to me by my new friendly grandmother. The boba was also delicious. I got 25% sweet, which tasted like 75% sweetness at least. This place was pleasantly surprising in many ways. Highly recommended. read more

The drinks were pretty gross, I'm not going to lie. I ordered the Rose Tea w/ agar pearls (0/10) - and my friends ordered the Thai Tea with boba (5/10) and the Honeydew Tea with boba (1/10). The rose tea tasted like the LA tap water from my college dorm room. The Thai tea honestly tasted alright, it was nothing amazing or good, but not bad. Calibear Cyber Cafe is a late night spot that opens until 1 AM every day (even on major holidays) - they used to open even later before the pandemic. It is located in a quiet plaza with plenty of parking. They have plenty of computers that you may rent (most likely per hour) to use for games and whatnot. I have never personally used their computers, but it is a neat idea. This is a quiet shop, I wished it was closer to me for me to come and study here since they stay open late. I usually get their jasmine milk tea or jasmine green tea. The milk tea is on the more floral side with a bit of rose aftertaste. It is not as creamy as I would like it to be, it just has a weird milky taste with a subtle tea taste to it. The green tea is a bit on the bitter side and it makes me more thirsty as I drink it. I come here to study sometimes when it's late. The popcorn chicken is more like bite sized sphere nuggets, very cute. Surprisingly juicy on the inside? I have a low spice tolerance but I always pick extra spicy because it just means extra flavoring and the flavoring itself isn't too spicy so I can handle it. It's pretty different from normal popcorn chicken but I actually prefer it because it doesn't feel as junk food-y and is nice on the stomach. Having good quality is one thing, but consistency is the key. The staff is always friendly, and the vibe is positive. The service is really great; the male staff suggested their minced pork rice, and it was delicious! (To be honest, it was a bit pricey for what it is, microwaved rice in a small bowl with minced pork, bok choy, and an egg, but trust me when I say it was delicious. Calibear! Such a nice environment and the drinks are great too! I was looking for a milk tea place to get some tea and just so happened to be in the area. I saw that Calibear was "Hot & New" on Yelp so I decided to give it a try. This place is a Cyber Cafe, and if you aren't familiar with what that is, it's basically a place where you can pay hourly to use the computers. Most people typically come here to play online games. The place is open very late on the weekends, so get your game and drink on! I didn't come here to game though, I came here to get something to drink. I decided to try their two most popular drinks: Hibiscus Rose and Puppy Love. You can't get boba with the hibiscus rose drink apparently, but I just wanted the tea anyways. You can adjust the ice and sweetness level here, but I kept it all at the normal amount just to see how it would taste. The Puppy Love is a gorgeous drink. It looks like a sunset and is great for photos. The drink itself is like a passionfruit lemon and it's actually pretty tart. The top color is actually sugar water, so if you mix the entire drink it becomes a little bit sweeter. The flavors are fresh and crisp, and I actually didn't mind the tartness. If you're looking for something sweet, the Hibiscus Rose was so good. It didn't taste artificial, and the floral hints were not overpowering. It's much sweeter than the Puppy Love, so it was a great one to pair. The people here are nice, and they put in a lot of effort to keep the place tidy. I really appreciated that. The place has really cute wall decor and is just bright and bubbly overall. The gaming computers look pretty good. Each one has over the ear headphones and the keyboards are mechanical (which color switch, I'm not entirely sure, but they felt like red switches, very light to the touch). Great internet cafe! The demographic of this place is definitely Chinese and the workers speak it to each other. However, they aren't unwelcoming in any way and the staff is always helpful.
