Fast, friendly and good tea. Next to the high school brings the lunch crowd. Nice to have a taco next door and round out with a drink.

Unique food truck in Bay Area! This isn't just a food joint but it's an experience!…read more Vegetarian reviewer: To start with, I am not usually a big fan of too many eggs on my plate, but I thoroughly enjoyed their innovative creations. They have interesting dishes with paneer and chicken as well. We ordered two dishes- Leela lasun keema - This dish was intriguing, with cheese, grated egg, and a rich, spicy gravy. The portion size was generous; a single person won't be able to finish it with just three breads. It was very filling, we took back home the leftover and enjoyed it later with some rotis. They have another version of this- "kachu" with runny eggs instead of grated eggs.. well thought option! Volcano egg biryani- The dish is as interesting as its name suggests. The base is an omelette, and the rice is flavorful with bell peppers, finely chopped veggies, and aromatic spices. The center is with a tomato-based curry. The cheese on the side was amazing, and I loved it. The spicy guava drink is super refreshing with a playful mix of spice, salt, sourness, and the sweetness of guava. I really enjoyed it! They have music playing and the place is lit, creating a total vibe for spending time in the evening on a lazy weekend/ after work, or post-workout. The food is pure indulgence and covered our protein requirements with eggs, along with some fat to burn off. Kinda guilt free. Also, they have games, garba events and other many interesting things going on at different times. Superb vibes, never disappoints! Conveniently located in Sunnyvale - easy to find parking. Ask the owners for their recommendations based on your preferences. They are very nice to talk to and are super passionate about this truck, having brought something they loved from New York to the Bay Area.

The leela lasun kheema was delicious but had a slightly bitter aftertaste, probably from the loads of garlic. Overall, solid spot, will definitely come back. They take card, but there's an up-charge for it. The order: Super Burrito (asada) $12: I'm not playing on the price, check the photos. Delicious burrito that was a nice size and excellent price point. The tortilla tasted so nicely toasted and had a crisp at the edges. Along with your choice of meat, the burrito has Spanish rice, avocado, onions, salsa, beans. What else do you need? The length was almost my entire forearm, might have been actually. I was also given two sauces: a cilantro green sauce and (chipotle maybe) a red sauce. I did not receive the orange sauce mentioned in other reviews. Remember to request what you'd like. The second time I went, they gave me red sauce and orange sauce. Minus 1 star because of slightly inconsistent quality. When I went the second time, the fillings were still great, but ratio was different than the first time. It made the burrito taste different, no crispiness. Still good, but seemed more like a mid burrito I wouldn't have been raving about. BUT I did go right before closing compared to right after opening, which I can understand could make a difference.

The best of the bunch was the dahi batata puri, but it still didn't quite hit the spot. It was definitely on the sweeter side and I felt like the dahi/yogurt wasn't as creamy as I prefer. The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. All of us found it unbearable and worse of all felt the affects for a day after. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes but after the all the discomfort of the meal- I don't feel inclined to return.

Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else. Thank me later.

My favorite taco truck in West San Jose is hands down Tacos Santiaguito…read more I have been sending taco fiends here for about a decade now. Located right off of N Saratoga ave, between hwy280 and Stevens Creek blvd, on the east aide of the street. You will find this gem in the evenings. This place has all the meats that a down foo was raised on, but my go to is always the Al Pastor! Perfectly marinated, huge portions, and even with the pineapple and sautéed onions deliver an amazing plate experience. Now what puts these guys a league above! You get to put your own choice of up to 3 different salsa's. Green and flavorful, orange habanero heat, or spicy red pepper goodness. Ample extras of radish, jalapeño, or onions and habanero slices for the folks who just have guts of steel. This place has such a following, there have been times when I was 10 people deep waiting in line to order. They are quick, yet always tasty. Give your tastebuds a treat!

I went back a couple of days ago and ordered a regular carne asada burrito, while my friend ordered the same burrito with pollo. Unfortunately, both burritos had very little meat and were mostly rice and beans. It was disappointing, to say the least. The payment experience also feels a bit uncomfortable. When paying by credit card, the machine presents fairly high default tip options, and with someone holding it right in front of you, it can feel like pressure to quickly choose one of the 15%+ options. As others have mentioned, the total adds up quickly. For two regular burritos and a manually entered $3 tip, we paid $27.50. For really solid burritos, that price would be fine. But based on this last visit, it was not worth it, and unfortunately, this may be our last trip there.

I hate waiting in lines…read more But Matcha Matcha is one of the very few places in the Bay Area where I'll happily stand in one. The reason? Their matcha is just that good. It's not overly milky, and it's not so strong that it feels like you're drinking straight grass. If you're a matcha lover, you know exactly what I'm talking about. They somehow found the perfect balance, and I haven't found another spot in the Bay Area that consistently hits the mark like they do. The staff is always friendly and does an amazing job keeping the line moving while still making drinks with care. Even when it's busy, they're hustling to get everyone served as quickly as possible. My advice? If you don't like matcha, don't wait in line. If you don't like lines and you don't like matcha... what the heck are you doing here? But if you love good matcha, appreciate having lots of drink options, and enjoy supporting a small business that's doing things right, Matcha Matcha is absolutely worth the visit. I also appreciate the MM team for having a tent up so you do get some shade from the sunny weather / heat. Ambiance? B U S Y haha Otherwise... BYE!

We visited on a Saturday around lunchtime and was met with a long line. Fortunately, the line moves fairly quickly and we probably only stood for about 15 minutes tops. Note - it's super hot over the summer, and there's not a ton of shade either! I ordered the strawberry matcha while my BF had the hojicha. I think I was expecting the matcha quality to be a bit more "intense" -- I think the cream top ended up taking over the flavor and the drink felt more milky than matcha-y lol. The hojicha on the other hand had a ton of depth; it was rich but texture-wise, it tasted a little too thick for my liking. Everything is whisked by hand which I appreciated (and they also sell their tins!). It looks like they're planning on opening a storefront in the same area where their trailer is. I'd encourage looking at their IG for their current trailer hours though!
