Repair work and the car itself looked good, the service was great, and I received the car back one day sooner than promised. However, I wish our communication had been better. For the court submission, I asked your office to re‑provide the first estimate that contained the term "e‑scoot‑IV." Your office replied that it should be "e‑bike IV." I said, "That's fine -- please send the original one." Instead, your office kept sending unrelated estimate pages that I did not need. Frankly, your office could have simply said that the first estimate had been overwritten by updates and no longer exists, rather than dancing around the issue. So: the workshop gets 5 stars, office communication gets 3 stars, for an overall 4 stars. read more

I had swung my Toyota Corolla unto the side of another car turning left and got to know this repair shop as a referral from my insurance. They were prompt about getting my car in and it worked on. I was there post day of mini accident in their lobby where it smelled of freshly cooked popcorn. They have a serve yourself popcorn machine which I find unique and amusing. I was met with warm reception by Alexa who was responsible for overseeing the repairs on my vehicle. She would chime in with updates about when I would be ready to pick up my vehicle. I believe they worked all weekend on my car all weekend because I dropped off a Friday and picked up the follow Tuesday, I really appreciate the work. My car looks new and to top it off they detailed my car from the inside out. I would be providing five stars, however I was told I had rental car coverage which it turns out I didn't have. Someone with a shuttle picked me up from their partner rental car company and took me to their rental office where I ended up calling my husband to pick me up. I'm sure it's accidental, but check your coverage before you agree to a rental. Also, as I was easdropping I hear an another customer talking with staff. The gentleman tells the lady that they're able to waive her deductible. The other customer was so happy to hear this. To fix my car through insurance was a deductible, insurance paid around $2K for some minimal front end damage which seemed fair. read more

I have used Caliber Collision on two separate occasions over the last couple of years and have been very happy. After the cars were returned, you would never know what they fixed. Good as new would be my best description. Just the other day I had a minor issue with the door rail trim on my new car as it had a couple of scuff marks which I could not remove. I received help from Nicole who put me in touch with Flo. Flo performed his magic and removed the scuff marks in under 10 minutes. Avoid Caliber if at all possible . This was the "preferred shop" I was instructed to go to by my insurance company. Communication was nonexistent and their estimates in terms of time and cost were wildly inaccurate. The workmanship on my car was very poor and needed to be remedied after their second completion attempt. Total time my vehicle was in the shop: over 30 days Total cost vs two other estimates from locally competing shows: 50% higher at Caliber In fairness to them they did correct all defects and mistakes, but I should be required to manage the process of their business as a consumer. HOWEVER, when I got home, my sister pointed out that Caliber Collision had removed trim from the back of my vehicle... when the front bumper was where the collision damage was on the vehicle. Alexa at Caliber Collision Concord location is a liar and was trying to price gaug. She told my insurance company that she feels that the damages to my car is from two different accidents and they are from the same accident. She thought she was going to get me to pay a $2000 deductible. I feel she thought my deductible was $500, but it is not. Never bring your car here they do not care about building good rapport with customers, or customer service they just want your money. Used this place in Walnut Creek for some body work repair for my Toyota Prius, after another person had rear ended it. They were the preferred shop by both insurance companies involved (ultimately, of course, the other person's insurance paid for it). The work seems fine and the turnaround time seems fine (it was disappointing that the car had to be there for a few business days, but I have no idea if any paint or glue had to "dry" or whatever, and I know that in general car repairs nationwide are requiring long repair times) The primary issue I have is that two times the car had an appointment, when we showed up, they said they knew nothing about the appointment. That didn't prevent them from acting fairly quickly since we were there, but one must really wonder about a company that can't keep appointments straight. Concord Ford uses this shop for body work. My car has been there 3 different times to paint a small manufacture paint defect. Bumper has been repainted 4 seperate times by Caliber. Attention to any type of detail is poor. 1st repaint, they burned through the clear coat while buffing it out. This one, I get. It happens. 2nd repaint I had solvent pops all along the top of the bumper and buffing compound EVERYWHERE 3rd repaint was more solvent pops, damaged my grill, damaged the clear bra on my headlights and even more buffing compound caked everywhere, especially under the headlights and inside the grill. 4th repaint they chipped the paint on the bumper and my fender (assuming from install) still have the damaged grill, burned through the clear coat again and buffing compound all in my wheel wells. Horrible attention to deal and half assed work. TLDR: went in for manufacture issue of paint flaking, painted 4 times, left with jacked up bumper, damaged grill and more paint issues then it had when it went in. read more

My back light, what is completely destroyed and along with scrapes.... This team did an absolutely amazing job. My car looked spanking brand new. I had a wonderful experience with Caliber from beginning to end... well as wonderful as can be expected when dealing with insurance and repairs. My driver's side was damaged when another car backed into mine. I was grateful that the driver was insured, but this was not something I wanted to deal with. After filing a claim, the other driver was determined at fault and State Farm sent over a list of repair shops I could choose from. I had heard good things about Caliber and was happy to see that they had an online scheduling system. I work graveyard, so it can be difficult to play phone tag to make arrangements. I uploaded photos of the damage and other requested information to Caliber's site. Nicole was delightful to work with. She was friendly and accommodating when I had to reschedule my repairs due to problems with the rental coordination at Hertz. When I dropped off my car, the rental company was unresponsive. She called them on my behalf to expedite the shuttle driver. She followed up during the repairs to let me know there was additional damage, and she pushed for the repairs to be covered. The process of getting my repairs coordinated due to State Farm and Hertz was long and drawn out, and anxiety inducing. The actual visit to Caliber and repair process was the only calm in this chaos. Hi, Just to be up front, I did not use their service. So for all intents and purposes, that could be good. My review is on their quoting process. Please be ware. I have a 2024 vehicle that had two areas to be repaired, for which I went out to get multiple quotes. Three of my quotes were in the same general range of $2.5k-$3k. Caliber, however came in at OVER $7k. There quote included fixes to stuff, that wasn't even damaged. So look out, they are trying to get as much money from your insurance as possible, which I imagine impacts you in a larger way, the more expensive it is. I can't trust a place if I know they are trying to dupe people on the estimates. There are plenty of fine places in our area that do honest business. These guys are apparently not one of them. read more

Something fell from the sky and took out my cars moonroof. Shattered into pieces luckily no one was hurt. Phoned in to my insurance and they referred me to Caliber. During the SIP I didn't know how quickly my car would be seen but happened to get an appointment that day. They are fully practicing social distancing 6' apart, with sanitizer, gloves and masks. The team are also clear communicators about how and when your car will be repaired and ready for pickup. The crew are friendly and knowledgeable! I brought my car here to repair a broken door. I had an appointment, and was seen in a timely manner by a man who was kind and helpful, and told me that they need to order a part to repair it, which take a while but they will contact me once the part has been ordered. After eleven days of not hearing back, I called to check in. It turned out there does not seem to be a record of my visit, and my file is locked (?) so they cannot look and check. I asked to talk to a manager, and was connected to Nicole. Nicole told me they had not ordered any parts, she was not sure why, nor did she offer any explanation as to what happened. When I asked if she could order the part now she told me she couldn't, since my file was locked - an internal problem, she didn't know why it happened. No apology, no explanation, no solution. When I said that she didn't seem to be very competent to help me, she told me she was going to call my insurance and tell them they would not work with me because I called her incompetent. After I explained that I am still interested in getting my car fixed, Nicole said she would have to submit a ticket to unlock my file, and would call me back after she had access to it to tell me when the part will arrive. She did call a few hours later and told me that they reserve the right to refuse service to me. When I was trying to get some clarifications, she said she is not going to explain anything. This is the first time that anything like that has ever happened to me, and I am truly stunned by the experience. Mistakes happen, many places are short-staffed these days and everyone is human - I get that. What shocked me was that no attempt was made to rectify the situation, and no apology offered at any point. Basically - we dropped the ball, but if you call us out and call us incompetent, we will refuse service.
