Took my 2017 ford expedition there. We had to extend the rental out due to supply issues. When I received my truck back from them after an extended time, the truck wasn't finished, there were panels that weren't replaced. In addition, I took it to the car wash and had water coming in from the door. The door hasn't sealed since, it doesn't leak anymore , but the road noise still sucks. I have never received a call to come in and change out the rest of the panels. Terrible experience. I will avoid them in the future. read more

When Caliber Collision (Caliber) completed the repairs to our car I took it home. At home my wife saw, what I didn't see at the time I picked up the car, was a thin horizontal line near the bottom of the car's passenger side that ran from the right rear passenger door to the right front passenger door. It definitely looked like a deep scratch. This infuriated her thinking Caliber had scratched a brand new car. Upon closer inspection, it turned out the thin line seemed to be a low-tack adhesive possibly left over from masking tape. She used a micro fiber cloth and was able to rub the adhesive off the car. We also noticed that the damaged right front side amber marker light had not been replaced with a new side marker. I called Caliber and spoke with Caliber's estimator, Anthony, and advised him that the damaged side marker had not be replaced. The next morning, Anthony called and said a new side marker lens had to be ordered and that he would let me know when to bring the car back to Caliber to finished the work. We were disappointed that Caliber failed to notice the two discrepancies in their post-repair inspection before they released the car back to us. We also noticed that the left rear driver's side door was not opening at all. WTF? Several days later, Anthony called and said we could bring the car in to replace the side marker. When we brought the car back to Caliber to have the side marker light installed, we complained to Anthony that Caliber failed to remove the adhesive that we had found and that closer inspection by Caliber would have found and removed it. I also told Anthony that the left rear driver's side door wasn't opening and asked what happened and didn't his mechanics see it.Anthony stated that probably the rod that's connected to the door lock mechanisms that locks and unlocks the doors must have come off and needed to be reattached. I told Anthony that this too should have been checked before the car was released to us. We waited for an hour before we could take the car home. I saw that the amber light was replaced with a new amber light. We also tested the left rear driver's side door and saw that it was opening and closing okay. I asked Anthony if Caliber had anyone that did post-repair inspections. He stated that the "wash guy" is supposed to inspect the car. I asked him if the wash guy was given a list of the things that needed to be inspected. He stated that among the duties the wash guy had was also to inspect the work for quality restorations. However, when we got home the door failed to open again. This angered me. I called and spoke with Anthony and advised him that the door was not opening again. He said he would get back with me on this issue. The next day, Anthony called and said they would have to order a new touch sensor and that he would call me when the part comes in. As of this writing, we're still waiting for his call. It's been a frustrating and very disappointing experience having Caliber do the repairs on our car. You didn't have our backs and you did disturb "the rhythm of our lives!" So, I've been unfortunately lucky enough to need the service of Caliber Collision twice this year. Once while my wife was driving, and once while I was. Anyway, that irrelevant, but let's get on with the review yeah? First experience was okay. The work completed was good, but some finishing touches were lacking (ie, polishing out some over spray, and leaving my fender liner a bit buckled (due to not using an OEM fender liner replacement). I was overall happy with the work, and the customer service was phenomenal in terms of communication. They use a text service, so you don't have to call them, but can text them and get the info you need there. Second experience was better, as I knew what to expect and how they operated turn around time was quicker as well. This time, there were no blemishes, but there was a mistake in my lighting for my headlight. Whoever installed my headlights switched the plugs for low and high beam. Required me to switch them myself when I got home, but I chalk that up to the person not being familiar with which light is what. The work though was good, and has my car looking newish . I have not used Caliber Collision for personal reason, but would hesitate to use them for their ability to Paint Match; my car is a Pearl White and they've nailed it both times. Very good blending for a 2007 model year and worlds of rock chips . Kudos to the Paint Team. Overall, I would recommend them for Collision Repairs using your insurance. I can't speak upon paying for a collision repair where you're paying for everything out of pocket as that would require shipping around and price comparison; etc. -Jeff read more

After waiting for an estimate for more than a week they continued to give my wife the runaround. They never did anything they said they would. Even after I showed up to pull the vehicle and take it somewhere else I was shook off as if we didn't matter. They never even checked my ID or verified who I was. Took my crashed car here because my insurance made me. They fixed my cars but forgot a bunch of things because they rushed it to make quota or close out accounts for the quarter. They wanted me to pick up my car so bad that night that they stayed hours after closing only to go to a gas station to see all the scratches they skipped out on and even made them selves. Rims were never changed. So little work done for 4 months in the shop. Luckily I didn't pay them out of my pocket but I would never take my car here as long as I have an option. read more

.i had taken my truck to them to get my tailgate repaired, i had hit while it was down and the damage was not terribly noticable at a glance but once you noticed it i, it stood out, i was not worried about it getting fixed right away because it was a hit and run so the money was coming out of pocket to make a claim . but then i had a couple of extra dollars come in and a plan to sell my truck and get something else . ( had a offer that would of paid it off and put a couple of dollars in my pocket ) . so i took it to caliber collision with my tailgate that was damaged but not to noticable, like i said before , and was told that they could straighten it and it would only be a week or so . i said at that time " you can straighten it , wow , i'm impressed ! i didn't think it could be done , i assumed it would need to get replaced . " no" they said we can do it , no problem. ok ...... they took my tailgate , i paid my deductible at that time , and was looking forward to getting out from underneath the payment of my truck , 3 weeks go by and i call them to check on it , i was told ," it is not able to be straighten so why are going to get you a replacement . ok i said , so when will i get it back , well .... we put a order in but there isn't any available, and no eta on when it might be available......... now i am understanding to the whole supply chain issue . but i would of believed that, before , they beat up my tailgate practicing auto body repair they would of had a plan b in place ,... a idea or line on one if they weren't able to fix it . .. but . they didn't ... i have been waiting 3 months now.. driving around with my original tailgate that is way worse now then when i brought it to them and have been held hostage by them to a truck that i have to keep paying on, putting miles on , dropping the. value of ,, and lost the offer of buy it , 3 months !!!!! i voiced my ordeal with the manager " trey" and was told " nothing we can do but wait , it dont look that much worse then it did when you first bought it ... so here are the photos to make your own opinion . no way should you allow yourself to get caught up in the incompetence and inadequate workmanship of this shop!!!! read more

Update - While talking to the General Manager, I found out Caliber also sent a series of 55 pictures to insurance on the damage from the accident, plus all unrelated damage (this included tire depths). Basically providing insurance with an overinflated estimate to pull every dent and repaint all unrelated damage. How is a customer suppose to negotiate with insurance when the auto shop provides estimates and pictures to insurance that they are not giving me (or even telling me about). You will want to make sure you request they give you all information that they are providing to insurance because they seem to be negligent when it comes to this. I guess referrals from insurance are more important than customer loyalty. read more

Had an unexpected drop of a thin metal panel from the front of our car, and then drag underneath. I tried removing the panel myself, only to cut a finger. Caliber was a block away, and, even though I did not have a collision issue---within a half hour, they had band-aided my finger, and removed the panel. We have needed Caliber Collision twice in the last year. One accident was my daughter's fault and the most recent time I was driving and was hit in the rear by a hit and run driver, zero at fault. Fun Fact... did you know uninsured motorist coverage only covers you if the motorist stays on the scene. It doesn't cover hit and run. However, both times, thankful for Farmer's insurance and their recommendation to use this shop. The car has only 25,000 miles on it so I hope this will be the last time it has an accident! Someone hit my car on Christmas Eve and left the drivers door almost unable to work. I cried I was so upset. My insurance set me Up with Caliber Collision in Stockton but it was going to be a couple of weeks before they could get me in so I called the Manteca location and they were able to get my car in the next week. From the moment I took my car in until the day I got it back was the best experience. Natalia was an absolute doll! She called me almost every day to keep me posted with the progress and the day I was able to pick it up she personally walked through it all and I was very happy. Her dedication to everything was outstanding and she is an asset to your company. As I was leaving with my car looking brand new I noticed a air leak in the weather strip of the door. I called and was instructed to just bring the car back in and it was all covered under warranty. I brought my car in a few days later and Rita, the manager of the establishment, was gracious enough to give me a ride to work and assured me that my car would be taken care of. I was expressing to her that I was worried about finding a ride back to pick up my car, but Rita assured me that it would be OK. A couple of hours later I got a call saying that my car was done and would it be OK to have it delivered back to my job. If you are looking for one of the most expensive places to get your vehicle fixed consider going to Caliber Collision. They are very friendly and professional, but their prices are exorbitant, charging over $70 an hour for labor. Taking their partial "estimate" to other body shops, I found they were the priciest of the higher rated shops. I am not sure what their finished product looks like, so I cannot weigh in on that end. Things were missing fro my vehicle when I went to clean it out: money from the ashtray and equipment. I was saddened that their employees were not a little more ethical than that. Do not go to this place!!!!!! This is the second time I go through them through my insurance the first time my 2007 honda got hit and they pretty much did the estimate and they sent it over to my insurance my insurance did not want to fix it because they said that it cost more to fix it then what the car is worth, which was understandable. I get a new car and it got hit on the bumper I decided to go through caliber collision because I really liked their service and Michelle seems really reassuring and sweet at first, but that's how she gets you. I bring my 2017 Toyota Corolla SE with 4,500 something miles on it. She does her inspection and does the whole sweet talk and we can fix it and everything's going to be okay and what not. I don't ever hear back from Michelle I have to call her myself and she lets me know the car is in pretty "bad shape" I'm like okay is it totaled and she does her whole beating around the bush thing with " I can't say it's up to your insurance". Michelle never called me to talk to me about the estimate she emailed me the estimate I called that same day to discuss why my estimate was so high she had someone else discuss with me why it was the way it was. She never bothered calling me instead she would send me text messages with short answers. And on top of that my estimate was 14,000 as soon as the insurance gets it they said Caliber Collision said it would be 15,000 - 16,000 because of my radiator. NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY RADIATOR I DROVE MY CAR FROM THE BAY TO THE VALLEY! There was no check engine light the air conditioner was working my saftey sensor lane detector was working it was literally the bumper and hood that needed to be fixed. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM, along with AAA. I advise you do your research. My cousin took her Audi to a caliber collision shop and they did the same thing. And Michelle still hasn't called me, goes to show this place is a scam! read more

I only have great things to say about this place. I took my car there after a car accident. They communicated so well and kept me updated on the status of my car the whole time it was in the shop. They had a driver from the rental car place come pick me up. My car was finished earlier than expected. And they truly went above and beyond. I had some scratches on the side of my car that were not related to my accident. They gave me an estimate and then they found that they could easily be buffed them out and they did it for FREE!!
