I have gone through the whole ordeal with the extensive repairs on my Lexus. First of all, they kept pushing back on the return date. Secondly, by the time I got my car back, I noticed there were some "bubbles" from the paint job on my trunk. I had to make another trip to the body shop. Thirdly, the head light warning light kept popping up. Consequently, I noticed there was lots of water inside my right head light!!! The manager blamed it on the OEM part from Lexus. Another trip was made to the body shop to get it replaced. I was really hoping that I would not need to come back to that body shop again. With my luck, the same warning message has been on the dashboard with water in my headlight!!! The manager has not even once acknowledged or apologized for the hassles/mistakes. He again blames it on the OEM part. I've made at least 6-7 trips to the shop for all the issues. I would not recommend this shop to anyone! Period!!! I have to bring my car to Lexus dealership for them to get to the bottom of it. It is a lesson learned! read more

I would like to heap praise upon this company, and this branch on 2029 Middlefield Road in Mountain View in particular, who did such a great job of fixing my Tacoma Truck after it had collided with a four-point buck on a country road in Nevada. The right front bumper and fender, as well as the headlight, had to be replaced and the new parts painted to blend in with the rest of the truck. It took ~five working days--much of that time to order the various parts that needed to be replaced--but it was done on time and the truck looks like new. They cleaned and washed the truck and fixed a couple of other items that needed to be fixed within the time-frame we agreed on. Excellent service, great customer relations. The insurance company, State Farm, covered all the costs, almost 3 k, save for the $100 deductible. The buck? It was knocked down by the collision; we got out of the car to check on it, but it scrambled up and scampered off into the bush, running well on all fours. I wish it luck. Richard took great care of my mustang, he was very friendly and responsive with updates. Not only that but the guys at caliber also fully detailed the inside of my car (because it was super dirty and crusty) and freshened the air so it doesn't smell bad anymore. Richard was very professional and went over what work needed to get done and what work has been done before and after the job was finished. Originally it was supposed to take 3 days, but it ended up taking 2 weeks which was fine because of the weather conditions as well as the great communication. I couldn't be any happier when I received my car back from him. It looked like it did 5 years ago when I first bought it. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who needs bodywork done to their vehicle. I have gone through very bad experience on my car repair at this body shop. My car was hit in front and had to be replaced with new original parts since it is a leased car. When I first came in, they were super nice and friendly and told me it would probably cost around $1,700+ and promised the car would be looking like new. When I decided to go with body shop, everything changed. First of all, It took two weeks to order the new parts and another week to repair it. During these three weeks, I did not get any feedback unless I called them for updates or they found new problems for higher repair cost. Eventually it cost me $3,500+ for replacing a new front bumper and a left headlamp. When I got the car back, two right turn signal lamps failed to work, which worked very well when I delivered my car to the body shop. On the repair summary, they are marked as R&I (remove and install, not replace): one is in the front right and the other one is on the right mirror. So I had to make another trip back to the body shop and it took another two weeks for them to order the new signal lamp. Again! I had to to call them by myself to make sure the parts arrived instead of getting updates from them. By the time I got the car back, the right turn signal lamp on the right mirror still doesn't work. The manager kept blaming it on the crack on this lamp, and claiming that the water could easily go inside the lamp due to the crack and they washed the car before returning the car to me that might have caused the signal lamp issue. But I had sent my car to the dealership for maintains multiple times and each time they washed the car as well with the signal lamp working properly. The manager never acknowledged or apologized for the mistake but just kept arguing it was my fault because of the crack on the lamp. It already took me one month to get the car repaired and I have made 6 trips and 10+ calls to the shop. I really do not wanna waste more time on this issue. So I decided to leave with the non-functional right turn signal lamp and go to the dealership for repair. I will not recommend this body shop to anyone at all!!! Worst experience ever! read more

Disfunctoinal front office. Friday. After collision with mail box the car was towed to Kevin's Autorepair. Monday. 2:00pm Farmers adjustor examines the vehicle at Kevin's and contacts Caliber in Mountain View (a recommended Farmer's facility) to perform body repairs. I am supposed to get a call from Caliber and notify Kevin's that Caliber will be picking up the car. No call on Monday, no call on Tuesday. Wednesday 8:00am tow truck driver calls and asks my home address (??) to pick up the vehicle. 11:00am call from Caliber: we will be sending an e-mail with docs to sign, so that we can proceed with work on the car to examine the damage and order parts. 2:00pm no email. I call. Someone else (not the front desk operator) finds documents and emails me for signature. I sign and send back. 2:30pm I call: have you received email, can you proceed? Front desk: doesn't know anything about my e-mail, apologizes for not sending me original email (remember 11:00am promise) because of broken scanner/printer. I explain that documents were already received, signed and sent back to Caliber. 3:00pm call from front desk: we can't start working on your car until next Monday... Why didn't you notify Farmers on Monday or me BEFORE taking the vehicle in? Front desk does not know. I instruct Farmers to move car to another facility. 3:15pm I receive an e-mail from Caliber: We look forward to meeting you and helping restore the rhythm of your life. Appointment Information: Appointment Date/Time: Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 8:00 AM Vehicle Year/Make/Model: 2009 AUDI A4 At 3:15pm on March 14, 2018 this is in the PAST! read more

USAA sent me to Caliber. The service and staff were GREAT! They even cleaned and washed my car. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I stopped by Caliber to ask if they would be able to remove some scratches to my passenger door and they fixed the scratches on the spot and didn't charge me! I even offered to tip and they declined. I don't write reviews typically, nor negative ones. But I feel obliged to get the story out this time so others can be aware. My car was sent to be fixed by Caliber Collision Palo Alto in 2016 after an accident, because Caliber is contracted by my insurance company - Statefarm. After the car was back, it continued to have AC issues. The car was sent back to Caliber Collision to fix the AC in 2017. There is no charge for the 2017 fix for me or my insurance because the issue was an unfinished job in 2016. I had to rent a car from Enterprise for 2 months when the car was being fixed in Caliber. Caliber agreed to pay Enterprise the rest of the rental fee after my insurance company paid its portion (because it still was from the same claim in 2016), before I rented the car. After I got my own car back and returned the rental, Enterprise didn't receive payment from Caliber and charged my credit card for the remaining amount of $2,486. I have been in contact with Caliber Collision Palo Alto manager Chris since 07/2017, till now 03/2018. He gave various of reasons. I asked him to simply cut me a check but he disagreed. He insisted to wire money from the Caliber corporate to Enterprise. Enterprise hasn't received the money from Caliber. And I still do not have my money back. I asked my insurance company what to do. They won't be able to do anything. They suggested me to file a complain to BBB, Small Claims Court, and social media. Here I am. This is a frustrating and traumatic experience. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people there. This is my second visit in 2 months and both times I was looked after really well. On my 2nd visit, I was worried that I would have to pay a lot to get the damage fixed and Terry was super nice and they were able to fix the issue in minutes for no charge. I was relieved that it didn't cost me anything. And Terry went the extra mile to say if I brought some touch up paint, he would help me with that too. It is a great place and really nice to work with people who are not out to get you . I would recommend this place to anyone. We have taken two cars to Caliber. We had great results with the first one. And for the second one I asked for a minor repair and was quoted a very reasonable price. When it turned out that the damage was worse than they thought, they touched it up for me at no charge. Extremely friendly, professional, and speedy service! I had a huge dent in my fender from sources unknown (it looked like something dropped onto my car -_-). I was able to get an estimate fairly easily and then scheduled an appointment with them after my insurance company sent them the information. They estimated that the repairs would take 3-4 days but it only took 2! SCORE. They also washed the exterior and vacuumed the interior of my car. It's looking real swanky now. I had to use a rental car while my car was here (through Hertz) and Hertz was able to send someone to pick me up and then I was able to leave the car there when I picked up my actual car. All in all, very convenient and excellent quality place to get your car fixed up. Prices are pricy as expected with car repairs so don't be expecting some crazy deal but you get what you pay for! Also free starbursts and coffee in the lobby. Lols. read more
