I went to pick up my "finished" vehicle, only to find two big items that were missed by the technicians and the person handling my claim, shouldn't a manager have done the final inspection, not me????? Lady sitting next to me is back for a third time, same issues as me!! One and done with Caliber. Update...they just delivered my vehicle again, now the back blinker doesn't work!!! Our van got keyed on a Sunday, the whole left side. We called our insurance and they scheduled an appointment with this place on Tuesday. (Monday was a holiday) By Wednesday morning our insurance sent us pictures of our van already in the process of getting fixed. Caliber kept us updated as well as our insurance company. We had to pay the deductible which wasn't a pretty penny but they were great! We had a rental car and by Friday they brought our van to us and returned the rental car! Of all my car repair experiences, this was my worst. I was in a side collision which caused damage to the driver's side of my car. Calliber Collision returned a car that pales in comparison to my car before the collision. They left off minor details such as bolt covers, put my passenger and driver doors on in such a way that they catch and rub against each other, put my side view mirror on without a proper seal allowing very loud air flow and refused to check my alignment, siding with Geico instead, although the side of my vehicle had been hit by motorist going 30 mph. I returned to have them repair their oversights. I picked up my car nearly 8 hours later to find that the same problems are still in existence. I was told I could bring the car back, which I intend to do eventually, but the entire process has been such a frustrating inconvenience. I would rather go to the dentist, than set foot in their shop again. There is one positive to their business... the women at the front desk. They are friendly, kind, professional and go out of their way to attempt to solve problems and make things run smoothly. If the owners had a half a brain, they would fire their service manager and put these women in charge. I feel certain things would have been done the right way the first time if that had been the case. read more

I took my car to this caliber never having had body work done to my car. I wasn't to sure what to expect. These guys did an amazing job! I only had damage to the front bumper due to some guy hitting me. These guys worked it out immediately, and starting work on my car. They called the rental car place for me and I was picked up from the location. Gina is at the front desk, and helped set everything up and get things going. Fidel was the rep who from that point kept me posted via email, and by phone every step of the way in regards on how the process was going. I get a call on Thursday saying my car is ready. The bumper looked great! They fixed it and made it look like new. I asked for a minor adjustment to be made and without haste Fidel had the technician Anthony come out, made the adjustment, and I was good to go right away. The entire process took 4 days. That to me is a fast turn around. Their work is covered with a lifetime warranty as well. These guys offer great customer service, and do fast amazing work. When we dropped my car off we had an estimate of 2 weeks. The day before our car should have been ready we were told (because we called them they didn't call us) that the car would not be ready for another 2 weeks. Received text update that car would be ready on the second promised date an hour late received text that there still was alot of work that needed to be done and they gave us a date 1 1/2 weeks late. Of course the car was not ready when it was suppose to it as it took another 2 days, surprise surprise. Once we went to pick it up, I noticed that the tire was replaced (wasn't suppose to)with a different brand. Our rim was dented so they sent my tire and rim to Discount Tire down the street and they replaced both the tire and rim. The repair shop didn't notice and we pointed it out. They called Discount Tire who ordered the tire but we had to take time to go back to them to have them put it on. The car looks great so hopefully it will hold up if we get hit again. The people there were nice but lied to us constantly about the status of our car. They ever told our insurance a different story then they told us. read more

There is no communication at all until you complain. I wish I would have found a shop that at least told you what was going on while they had my car. Next time I need my car repaired I will look somewhere else and take the drive. So unhappy with this company and the way they interact with customers. Now the lady at the front desk was amazing to my children(that's about the only good thing I have to say for them). I had my car repaired here in fall of 2018. It was a place suggested by. When the car was returned to me, I noticed that quite a few of the interior pieces no longer fit together as they are supposed to. I also realized that the car ride had become extremely noisy. I looked more closely on the outside of the car and realized that the car had not been re-assembled properly -- outer pieces were not aligned; doors were hung with huge gaps between them, and so on. This repair was signed off on by Fidel from Caliber and the GEICO rep. The manager was sarcastic in tone when I tried to contact her about fixing the mistakes made by Caliber. Thankfully, with insurance, I was able to go to another body shop to have the car somewhat restored to how it should look. read more

My bumper was dented by a co-worker in the employee parking lot. Working with Caliber Collision to fix my bumper was an easy process where I was informed about the plan of action the entire way. The new bumper was the exact same color as the rest of the car and fit just perfectly. They also have popcorn in the lobby you can munch on while you wait! Whoever makes the popcorn or whatever company they buy it from makes the popcorn too salty and buttery, but still a nice snack. They collaborate with Enterprise, so you can get a rental car while your poor car is under surgery. This was the first time I had to rent a car and they told me exactly what I needed to sign and exactly what the conditions were for renting the car. Returning the rental car basically involves handing over the keys and nothing more. If my car ever needs additional plastic surgery, I will definitely be back! read more

My 2017 370Z was hit by some knuckle head a couple weeks ago. This Z has only 5k miles and not a scratch or door ding on it. My wife's car was repaired here last year with very good results so I sent them my 370Z. I could not be more pleased with the service I received and the workmanship they devoted to getting my Z looking as good as new!!! I think it's just ok as repair shops go. The service however would be a 5!! The employees are all super helpful and really nice. So A+ for the people. However the shop is pretty dissatisfying. I had my car towed here because it is a USAA trusted shop. I think the shop took a week to do an inspection and the appraisal company took another week to do their own inspection. All in all from the day it was towed to the shop to the day I had my guys tow it away was about 18 days I believe. They charged $941 to do an inspection and for the car to sit on the lot. No repairs were ever made. They also removed the bumper to do the inspection and then left it on a shelf. This is what bothers me the most. When my tow truck showed up they didn't put the bumper back on. I had to rent an SUV and tow away the bumper days later. That was a super annoying lack of attention to details on their part. read more

Brought my car in for a front accident repair. We told them we wanted everything OEM and was told we would get OEM parts. Everything was great when we got the car back. However, we barely put 5-6K miles on it since the repair (between Feb 2018 -Feb 2019) since this is our road trip car; come the end of last month as we were preparing for our trip, we found that my drivers side fog lights had melted.. The housing as well as the unit had melted. We didn't realize it since we barely drove this car since the repair. We brought the car back in and had them take a look. Lisa helped us and told us she would fix it right away! After getting our car back with OEM parts for the fog lights , we realized the passenger side fog lights had unfortunately had the same melting issue! Apparently, the team that did the initial repair placed mismatching voltage for the light bulbs and used after market parts for the housing; the higher voltage was draining more power than it should've, thus the melting issues. Lisa was so great to make it right for us and had her team order OEM parts for that side as well! She had it ordered and repaired it in less than a weeks time, before we left for our trip! So thank you Lisa for doing that! We really appreciate you going the extra mile for us! I give Lisa a 5/5 stars for her efforts and great care for customer satisfaction. But due to the initial team and their lack of attention to customer wants, I had to ding a star. Overall, I would return here as long as Lisa is there because I know she will take care of our needs and do it the right way!! read more

It has been over two weeks and the wheel cover that was paid for still has not been installed. I had to call Caliber a week after they said they would come to my house and install the cover to inquire why no one called me. They claimed the wheel cover just came in and they would come to my house on March 1 to install it and would call before the arrived. Match 1 came and went. No call and no wheel cover. They were all extremely nice and efficient. The repairs only took a few days and they were checking in with me through text messaging. I had a minor fender bender and brought my car to this shop and was told that it will take 3 days to get my car repaired. During the first 3 days they were very communicative, giving me updates via text and let me know the car is ready for pick up on the 3rd day, after that it was silence. I thought i'll be getting a call to let me know when exactly i can pick up the car like they told me, so i waited a day and i called my insurance agent to ask what's going on and she told me she'll reach out to my service advisor Micheal to give me an update. Another day passed by and i have heard nothing so i decided to call the service advisor directly and he said he didn't like the color of the paint so he sent my bumper back to painting that's why there is a delay. I had no problem with that but i wish they would just give me an update without me having to call and ask what is going on. When I picked up my car, i inspected it and it's looks fine but it's not 100%, i can tell the bumper didn't fit like it did and i also noticed a pin missing in the wheel well so i asked about that and was told to come back the next day so they can get me the pin. Here is what makes me upset and why i am giving these guys 1 star: I brought my car back the next day and they replaced the pin in my front wheel well but i found out they got a pin that was too small so they took the one from my rear wheel well placed it in the front wheel well and put the one that was too small in the rear wheel well and gave me back the car. That to me was super shady, i just got my car brand new a week prior to bringing the car to that shop so i know that no parts should be missing and everything should fit, these are little things and makes me feel like they can't be up front with you when something is wrong, they will try to hide things. I also gave them a pretty bad review on the survey they sent me afterwards and let them know how unhappy i was and usually companies who cares will definitely give you a call to see what they can do better when they receive a low scored survey but these guys don't seem to care, i have not received any calls or feedback from them. Overall, i would definitely not bring my car there in the future. read more

I have heard of caliber collision in good context previously and decided that I would stop by to meet with my adjuster and then determine if I would proceed with repairs here. I've had my car fixed here a few times previous to my most recent experience & I thought they did a good job; however my front bumper is not attached all the way correctly from one of the first times I went there. The most recent experience with them is what haunts me the most. So somebody hit my car & I took it in & got a rental, etc. about a week later I went to go pick it up & was in a rush at the time (also it was dark so I couldn't completely see it) & later found out that my window didn't roll up correctly now, there was still scuffs on my mirror from the accident, & there was a loud wind noise right next to me whenever I drove above 30 mph. So I took it back in & they fixed the first 2 problems I mentioned on the spot, but after waiting in the lobby for about 2-3 hours they told me they needed to take a more detailed look about the wind noise. So here we go again, I'm in another rental car for a week (I will give it to them- they covered the rental, because it was their fault). So they call me in a week later to come pick it up a second time. They explain to me that it's "normal wind noise" & they've done every tweak they could to try & fix it.. it's not normal because it didn't sound like that before someone hit my car. Okay so that's one problem I'm still dealing with. The most annoying problem that I have NOW is that there is a high pitched rattle in my mirror/door now that rattles everyday I drive, about 70% of the time that I drive. I used to truly love driving my car & felt so comfortable in it (I'm still paying it off, it's only 4 years old & I baby my car to keep it in great condition) now I honestly dread driving. I don't want to take it back in there because I'm afraid of what else they're going to mess up on my car. I've never wrote a negative review, but be warned of my experience. My car car was hit by another motorist who merged into it and Geico was their insurance company. I am very satisfied how Geico took car of the claim. They said I could go anywhere for repairs but Caliber was the closest to my house so I went there. Geico had a rental car and representative meet me there and assured me they wanted me satisfied. I met Joel and we looked at my car and made sure to note all of the damage from the accident and some minor scrapes on the front bumper not from the accident that I asked for an estimate to repair. He said that since the car was already in the shop he could give a good price, which he did and I accepted. The repairs to the car were quickly and expertly done and I am very happy with both Geico and Caliber for excellent customer service (and Geico isn't even my insurance company!) The next accident (hopefully not any time soon) I will take my car to Caliber. read more

I have a lot to say about my review regarding Caliber Collision but to make it sweet and simple do not trust them I'm a mother of three kids hard-working have a new car took the car in to get repaired the first time I took it in they said your car is ready to go come pick it up had to come back the next day because they left tools underneath the engine my hood was on crooked and the place of the area that they repaired was loose I had to take it in again and now they're saying the parts that are loose are not covered under the extended warranty and I have to pay a separate deductible for a different issue the insurance and Caliber Collision work together the extended warranty is out the door they will find reasons so they don't have to repair it do not trust them there are many places that you can take to get your car fixed just because the paint looks good there's underlining work that I can guarantee you that they did not fix read more

When my BMW needed some bumper repair, I searched the internet to fine a reliable, trustworthy repair facility that wasn't ten miles away. What I found was Caliber Collision and only two miles from home. And I think I've found the repair facility of my dreams. The staff of the Vandever Street Caliber Collision facility, Mission Valley, follow a reasonable process for estimating and conducting repairs and keep their promises. And the facility is state-of-the-art modern and immaculate. Furthermore, I received at least one text a day informing me of my car's repair status. In order to get information out of other so-called blue-ribbon repair facilities in the past, I was forced to call them periodically and literally drag the information out of them. Plus, I lost the use the vehicle for at least a month to six weeks while they worked on other vehicles. Mission Valley Caliber Collision told me the bumper repairs would likely take four days and they meant it. I dropped off my car on Monday afternoon and they delivered my car (yes, that's right. They delivered my car to my house) on Friday afternoon. The car was not only fully restored but washed and clean! As I said, I think I may have found the repair facility of my dreams and my fiberglass "children" will be in good hands. read more

This is my first experience dealing with a car accident as an adult. Needless to say I was very out of the loop when it came to understanding how the whole insurance process works which was obviously very frustrating to me. Caliber did a fantastic job of explaining the whole process and guiding me through everything I had to do. The receptionist Gene was wonderful to work with on all occasions and even when I was upset about the fact that I would have to pay more than expected, she was very professional and patient in explaining why. The lead man working on my car was Fidel who did a great job of keeping me updated towards the end of the process. Along with fixing my bumper, they even did a slight touch up on the scratch on the front of my car at no extra charge. That one above and beyond action by Caliber inspired me to write this review.
