The body work was great but the reassemble was horrendous! Three moulding clips were missing, a plug wasn't replaced, and there was a panel clip I still haven't figured it where it is from! My windex wipes were taken as was a microfiber rag. They sliced up my sound matting to access the door and didn't even tell me. Darius was super good though! read more

So, seriously, is there anything worse than going out to start your vehicle on a Sunday afternoon, only to find that instead of it sounding like a fine piece of machinery, it sounds like a horrible piece of crap? You know, the undeniable sound that your catalytic converter has been stolen in the night, whilst you dreamt away the hours in your cozy bed... UGH! So, you call the local PD, file your report and succumb to the fact that you're not going anywhere until you can make the proper arrangements with your insurance company, providing you're even covered for this heinous event - and find that except for accidents, their office is closed for the weekend. I am new to living in Richmond, and don't have the first idea about finding a good shop to do the repair to my truck, so I rely on whomever my insurance company has a standing arrangement with, in this case San Pablo Auto Body. My only concern at this point is getting back on the road as soon as possible. Once my insurance contacted them, they had my truck towed to their shop the same day. I was faced with the challenge of getting to the location to sign the required paperwork, and you know what? NO PROBLEM! They sent their shuttle to pick me up (and my little dog too). The ladies and gentlemen in the office greeted me, and my pup Syd warmly. They were sympathetic to the event that occurred to my vehicle and right on top of getting all of the necessary equipment ordered first thing. Then they even shuttled me back to my house! First class service, with a genuine smile! My truck went in on Monday afternoon and was ready for me to pick up by mid day the following Wednesday. I had a friend who was driving me to retrieve my truck when his vehicle overheated - once again, they sent a shuttle to save me, and even offered to arrange for a tow for my friend. Absolutely 100% customer service oriented. When I got to the shop, the paperwork was ready for me to sign, I payed my deductible and was on my way. Once again, everyone was SUPER nice and very friendly. When I got to my truck I couldn't believe it - they had detailed it from stem to stern. Inside and out. Better than the last detailing I paid a lot of money for - they did not miss a thing. I had absolutely not expected this, after all, I wasn't having body work done - ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE. I scratched the hatch back of my car TWICE cos I forgot to close it when I closed the garage door. The damages were not horrible but I wanna see if there's any quick and inexpensive fix. I brought the car in on a holiday for an estimate. David looked at it and in 5 seconds he told me it will cost bout $380 cos they will have to repaint the entire hatch back in order to do a good job. Then he offered to do an ez and quick paint brush up FOR FREE and I can decide if I still wanted to repaint it all the way. In about 2 mins, he painted over the scratch. Gotta be honest, it doesn't look perfect mainly cos I know where to look for the scratches. Other than that, it looks great. I mean hey I saved $380 and I can't complain bout that. David didn't try for one second to make $ off of me. Even when I offered to pay after the brush up paint job he still insisted not to accept any payment cos he said what he did was for courtesy. Courtesy of what? I was never a customer in his shop. You can tell he is very passionate and he wants what's the best for the customer, even not a paying one. That's very respectable. read more

Had a front end collision. Did an estimate with them with my insurance. They only thought it was cosmetic damage. I trusted this company because a family member of mine used to work there. Shouldn't you do an alignment after a front end collision? Once I got my car back I heard a funny noise so I went back. They said it was my lower ball joint on the driver side. So they replaced it because of my insurance. The owner said your passenger is going out too.? So why didn't they replace it during my second trip when my insurance covered it. read more

Our car came in for huge damages and we never had any problems with the paperwork or the work they did. We were always encouraged and told that if there were any problems with the job - that we could bring it back anytime. David Liou, one of the managers, is great with customer relations and makes every effort to ensure you leave knowing your car is in better shape than how it is upon arrival. Just yesterday, David replaced a damaged side view mirror on our Prius. This was my second time at the shop due to the same problem on my Volvo a couple of years ago. When he asked for the keys, I told him he would have to manually open and lock the driver's door because the alarm unit wasn't working. Upon return to pick up the car, David informed me that he fixed the alarm unit and even went to buy a new battery for it! He didn't have to do that but he wanted to because that is the caring, genuine person he is! I would highly recommend this place of business to my family and friends! This is by far one of the best experiences I've had at an auto body shop. David and his team were very professional and welcoming. David explained what they would be doing to the car in detail and when it would be ready by. After our 2014 Mazda 3 got front end damage, we didn't know who to turn to fix the car. The insurance company referred them to us and at first I wasn't sure if I could trust them because I haven't had luck in the past with insurance companies suggesting places... But David assured us that everything would look like new. He even called the rental company to make sure we had our reservation and called them to pick us up without even asking him. We couldn't really believe how fast the turn around time was either but sure enough, it was done! One of the best parts about this experience is that there was constant communication. The car looks amazing and this whole process was so easy. I will be doing all my auto body with these guys from now on! David is super friendly, fast, quick and very efficient. Some a-hole did a hit and run on my car a couple months ago. Since my insurance is affiliated with this company, I received 100 dollars off my deductible. Small minor accident but major damaged to the right rear qtr panel. I was hesitant to leave my car because I commute everyday and since they had to order a new door it might take a week or so for the work to be done. However, David took care of me and provided me with a free rental since my insurance doesn't cover rentals. I brought my car in on a Wednesday and my car was finished the following Tuesday (6 days total!). Since I wasn't able to pick up my car until Thursday he said there was no problem and that he wouldn't charge me any extra since I had the rental for a few more days. He ordered a new door, new wheel cap, shaved + remolded the qtr panel, and did an alignment, brought the whomping total to 3800 ish? Thank goodness for insurance! I'm hoping I'd never have to return but if need be, I will. read more

Brought my brothers 1995 Chevrolet Camaro for some much needed painting and I am beyond impressed at the results and pricing. The bumper was extremely damaged with lots of paint chips here and there and they left it looking brand new. The door mirrors were extremely faded from the sun and literally looked light pink when they originally were red. They were painted as well for a very low price and look brand new again. They used the original Chevrolet metallic red paint and the car was ready for pick up the day they promised it. David and his staff are very friendly and I have already recommended this shop to a few friends. Seeing the results for the price I was charged makes me question why other shops charge so much more. One shop in the same city quoted me twice as much for the same paint job and they have horrible reviews. I suspect this is the case because they have no clients.
