I appreciated that someone called me to set up an appointment. I thought they accepted walk-ins (and they might) but having an appt made sure I went to get my car appraised sooner rather than later. I called in about half an hour before my appointment time to let them know that I might be running late. I needed to get my phone's battery replaced and that was taking awhile. They were courteous about it and said no rush! I ended up making my appointment right on time, but ended up waiting almost half an hour before I could see someone. Then I was told that I'd get my appraisal in an email (still haven't gotten it yet, granted it's been 1 business day). Maybe it was a lack of sleep the night before or the prospect of not having a car for 2 weeks while mine's being fixed, but I really didn't enjoy waiting for 30 minutes before I got to speak with someone. It came back damaged again only to not take any responsibility for the new damage . Buyer beware that he over promise and under deliver . Here's what I liked: - There's an Enterprise rent-a-car at this location so you can drive away with a rental car on the spot - They are really good about texting and calling you with updates - Super friendly staff - Continually kept me updated on when my car was going to be done and if that date was changing - My car came back looking brand new (I got sideswiped on my drivers side and then had a hole in my other side door) - I left a microfiber cloth in my car that was gone when I got the car back, and they gave me a new one! - My car was spotless inside and out when I got it back. - They did everything I asked them to do. I took my car here because someone accidentally pulled into me as I was parking. It lightly grazed the side of the car. The damage wasn't terrible but the whole process of insurance, going through the process, car rental, etc is a real pain in the ass. Sedrak made it borderline effortless. I don't usually write these reviews but it would be remiss of me not review the excellent service we received from Caliber Collision on 11th and our service advisor Sedrik, who was terrific and is top of his field. Unfortunately on 12/18/20 our 3 week old BMW X3 was rear-ended on the 405. My insurance company State Farm, suggested we bring our car to this repairer. I was very cautious as I'd previously had a poor experience with our Jaguar XF with a different body shop close by to Caliber in Santa Monica. However I was very glad we went with Caliber and had the pleasure to meet Sedrik. I'd only driven our X3 twice since new, and I told Sedrik that my expectations were extremely high and I wanted it returned to new. Sedrik was nothing short of amazing to deal with, very professional and he reassured me that no short cut would be taken and promised our X3 would be returned to new. He also said all their work was guaranteed (while we owned it) and if we were not happy just bring it back and he'd make it right. He walked me through the entire process before agreeing to engage Caliber, which made me confident in selecting them as our repairer. From that moment on Sedrik took care of everything with insurance company and the repair our car was painless. What I found out was that with a rear-enders the inspection and evaluation process is forensic and every precaution taken. They basically take the entire back half of the car apart (interior and exterior) and inspect and test everything from the body structural integrity to the brakes, suspension and electronics because of the sensitivity of all these component. Sedrik guaranteed that the repairs would be exactly to BMW specification and every replacement part would brand new genuine BMW parts, no expense spared. Sedrik was meticulous, very communicative and stayed in touch about the status and progress of the repair via email, text and phone. He really made us feel comfortable and that we (and our X3) were his most important customer ...which is rare these day. Caliber and Sedrik went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect and their workmanship was excellent. Our X3 was returned like it was brand new. This is the shop of broken promises. I was told, by both the manager and the assigned agent, that they "would be with me every step of the way." They were not. I was told by the agent that a repair like mine would typically take 5 to 7 business days, but, because of Covid, getting parts was a problem so it might be longer. However, he continued, I will email you if there is a delay. Two days later I got a text (his only text to me) from the agent saying "the parts are in, we will start work soon." Another 3 days passed without word. I called, the agent was on paternity leave. Another call informed me that the manager was on vacation. Neither passed on my information to another agent. 9 days passed without word. With the help of my insurance agent, they texted to say the car would be ready in two more days. And it was. Later, I would find a 2- inch-long bare metal place they missed. I called, talked to the office manager about a paint sample I could use to match the paint and was told she would call when she had the paint and I could pick it up. That was 2 weeks ago. Every promise they made was broken. My advice to you: Go to a smaller shop where attention is paid to the customer and promises are kept, like Morgan Auto Body in Santa Monica. read more

Sedrik from Caliber Collisions was super friendly, professional, and helpful! I brought in my car after one of the side mirrors was knocked off. Sedrik let me know that it would take a few days for the new part to arrive, but that the repair itself would only take a day or two, so he offered to glue the mirror back on so I could keep driving it in the interim. I really appreciated still having my car while the part arrived. He also repainted my OTHER side mirror (which had previously been damaged) at the same time :) Caliber Collisions sent me follow up to let me know when my car would be ready too. Got in a minor accident and went to Caliber Collision through my insurance. They have Enterprise Rental Car in their building which makes renting a car easy after you drop it off. Dropped it off on a busy Saturday morning. Go early! They were extremely busy at that time. Was assigned to Mark to assess my car and to handle my case. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole time my car was at Caliber Collision. Most of all, he was easy to communicate with and gave me an update on my car after I dropped it off and gave me an accurate estimate of how long the job would take. I can't say enough great things about this place. I was in a car accident, and our insurance company recommended this particular auto shop. From start to finish, the customer service was amazing. The rep we worked with, Sev, kept us informed via text every few days and answered all our questions thoroughly. He also gave us a realistic timeline of how long it would take to complete the repairs. We failed to thoroughly inspect the car before driving it home, but a couple days later, we saw some damage to the front bumper and headlight that we could only assume was made at the shop. (It was nowhere near the damage caused by the accident, and it looked like something heavy was accidentally dropped onto the bumper to create a hole.) We shared this info with Sev immediately, and he had us bring the car back. They were kind enough to fix everything for free, provided us a rental car, and maintained their stellar customer service along the way. I'm blown away by Caliber Collision's work (my car looks brand new) and service (Sev is the BEST). If anything were to happen to any of our cars again, we would definitely be seeking their services again. read more

The electronic keypad for the keyless opening of my Ford Flex had to be replaced. I went to the local Ford dealership and they wanted to charge me 380.00for parts and labor which was outrageous because it was a simple replacement and would take minutes to replace. I have a brand new 2021 Ford Ranger. A city bus damage the front end while making a right turn and not turning wide enough. There was extensive damage to the front end. A couple years earlier my wife needed some repairs in that shop as well. They did an amazing job so in my time of need I brought my vehicle there. They did a kind of work you would expect from a top shop. It was flawless. They use all OEM parts. Through the whole process, staff kept me informed. Sedrik and Nathan we're both friendly and professional and kept me in the loop. I highly recommend this shop. I have worked in body shops for a good part of my life so I don't give this recommendation lightly. But you got to give credit where credit is due. On April 27, I called to make an appointment to bring my car in for an estimate. I was told there was nothing available until the middle of the next week. Ok. This place was not a good experience for me. Not only did they have my car for x5 longer than promised the work is shoddy you can still see the damage from certain angles and the guy kept going on about OEM. my c-pillars were badly scratched on my 3 month old car, I got home to realize they i didn't have my all weather trunk mat and jack . I had to go back and wait 30 minutes for them to find it. I got a warranty i can't use because I wont ever bring my car back there to the Stockton location but I will call their main office to have this done right .. They even charged me $500 more than they originally told me complaining about how hard it is for them to take off the parts and not to worry they will just bill my insurance. I see why collision is used by my insurance because they will cut corners. I learned to take any new fix to another shop never the one the insurance recommends. read more
