I strongly advise against using Caliber Collision. After my parked car was sideswiped, my insurance company referred me to Caliber. What followed was a completely unacceptable experience. While there was a miscommunication with the rental car company at the start, I chose to overlook it. They kept my car for four days and updated me regularly--so far, so good. However, when I picked up my car, I immediately noticed a scratch on the door that had clearly not been repaired. I pointed it out to the service manager, who claimed he didn't see anything, but offered to polish it again if I left the car. Since I had already returned my rental, I declined and went home. I immediately notified my insurance company and told them I would be bringing the car back on Monday. Over the weekend, I began receiving error notifications due to sensor malfunctions in the side mirror--something that was not an issue before the repair. I informed my insurance company again and returned the car that Monday along with picking up another rental. At that point, Caliber told me my car would be ready by Tuesday. Then Tuesday came, and suddenly it would take longer--they had finally acknowledged the scratch and now needed to recalibrate the sensors. The new estimate was Wednesday. Wednesday came and went. Then it was pushed to Friday. On Friday, I heard nothing until I contacted my insurance adjuster, who followed up with them. I was told it wouldn't be ready until Monday. Monday arrives. Still no call. I contacted my insurance again, and only then did I learn that the car was still being reassembled. The new delivery date was Tuesday. Finally, on Tuesday, they delivered my car and picked up the rental. Initially, the car looked fine, but upon closer inspection, I discovered a new scratch--this time on the opposite side of the car. This experience was frustrating from start to finish. Caliber Collision made multiple mistakes, failed to repair my vehicle properly the first time, damaged it further during the process, and consistently failed to communicate delays unless I reached out first. I will never use their services again and cannot recommend them to anyone expecting professionalism, accountability, or basic competence. read more

Amazing service. I came in with a leaky sunroof in my 335i. The internal water drainages were clogged. They fixed the problem AT NO CHARGE, whereby other body shops wanted to remove the seats in the car to find the source of the leakage. Joycelyn at the front desk is lovely and so courteous. HORRIBLE at managing timing of work or getting work done satisfactorily. They told me my vehicle should be in the shop for about 2 weeks and it ended up being almost 2 months! AND there were still more than half a dozen things they didn't fix, so it needed to be brought back for MORE work. It took them another 7 weeks to get those parts. AND they told me that was supposed to be a same day fix, but ended up taking multiple days. Note that most of the 5 star reviews are people with less than 5 total reviews...I expect most of these are fake. AVOID!!!! read more

I was rear-ended recently and my insurance directed me to Caliber. They did Great job fixing my WRX. Apart from a few minor gap issues on the trunk, everything was perfect. This kind of body work is incredibly hard to do, and they did great work for the amount of damage there was. This location of Caliber recently completed body work on my car - it was a great experience, and I absolutely recommend their services. After getting quotes from a few places, overall Caliber's offering was the best - pricing was comparable to the other quotes, but Caliber said they'd have the work done in a week or less, whereas the others said it'd take at least two weeks. Richard gave me my initial estimate, and then Walter assisted me leading up to the start of my service while Richard was away. Alejandro was the Service Advisor that oversaw the work on my car, as well as drove it to me for drop off at my home once it was ready - this is such a nice service that they offer! The team - mainly Alejandro once service actually started - was very communicative with me throughout the service process - letting me know how it was going and any new options to consider. As I was paying for it directly rather than going through insurance, they thoroughly went through all the options with me, helping me decipher where to spend and where to save. Alejandro was also very gracious and helpful when I brought my car back in after the service was complete for a touch up buffing - it ended up being on a part of my car that hadn't been part of the service, but he kindly took care of it anyways. Hopefully I will not need future body work on my car! But, if I do, I'll absolutely return to this Caliber location for the service. read more

At first, I thought the customer service was really good until I received a call telling me to come in on Saturday morning before 11:00 am. I got there at 8:30 sharp only to be told that the car wasn't ready. No phone call advising me of same. I then got a call the following week asking me to come in that day. Of course it was a work day so I couldn't make it. I picked up my car the next day and had to pay $1,000 out of pocket. When I got home I discovered that the door didn't fit right and that it looked as though the door were ajar. This morning, I find a scratch on my car that wasn't there before! The only place I have driven is to work and back and have had zero incidents! I would never recommend this shop to anyone. We had an excellent experience here after someone backed in to us, we went through our insurance company and this was one of our location options. Alejandro was the first person to help us with our accident repair and he was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. They had our car for a week (after another shop told us it would be a month to get parts for our discontinued vehicle). Horrible customer service. Zero communication and when you do get a hold of someone, all you get are "Um's" and lies. The one default lie they give is the "I just got off the phone with the dealership...." Total BS. And when the front desk lady says their voicemail box is full. That shows they do not keep up with communication with people. Not checking voicemails. After getting into a fender bender - not my fault btw - my insurance company recommended Caliber and mentioned the work performed would be guaranteed. I took my car to the nearest location (this one) and was assigned to Albert who inspected the carr, wrote up an estimate and answered any questions/concerns. When I dropped off my car he stayed in touch via phone/text and was very communicative. Calibers bodyshop did a good job on repairing my car and i really cannot tell where the damage was. TL;DR: I love this center, was treated well, and would come back. My insurance provided Caliber as an option and I am glad I went to them versus my car's dealer service center. Caliber on Lincoln in Santa Monica is excellent (I cannot speak to other locations, though there are many in Los Angeles). CUSTOMER SERVICE: Richard P. is super helpful and friendly. He explained all the charges to me and was very patient--I am a young woman and this is my first time going through something like this, so I wanted to take my time reviewing the invoice before I signed. Some mechanics/car shops/etc are condescending to women but not here for sure!!! TIMELINE: I am amazed that they had a 72 hour turnaround with the work--I was really lucky with my parts arriving in about a day. I dropped it off on Wednesday morning (only took me 2 days to get an appointment, though they do seem busy) and she was ready by Friday AFTERNOON!!! She looks perfect and they painted the whole right front passenger door panel to blend it well even though my scratches were only at the top near the windowsill. EXTRAS: The automated text messages are a nice touch and gave me more peace of mind throughout the process as I learned when my part arrived and when the physical labor began. I think they washed her as well because she was sparkling clean when I picked her up. Richard even gave me a little touch up paint for future scratches (though it was in a very random plastic thing since they ran out of containers)!!!! read more

We had an appointment to come here this morning to get the car fixed. Mind you we made an appointment a week in advance. This was after waiting an entire week and also after a long holiday weekend. We had positive experiences at a different location, but this morning, was an extremely disrespectful attitude. When we came in for our appointment, they did not honor us and told us to come in "the next week". Manager said "even if we come in, they will not touch it until next Monday". We were NEVER INFORMED OF THIS CHANGE and were taken by surprise and shock. We had a lower offer elsewhere and were being loyal because of positive experience from another family member. We will NOT COME HERE BECAUSE OF THE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We asked: Why did we get an appointment then? Walter said: "We got busy all of a sudden." What does that have to do with us? I have already notified the Headquarters about this BEYOND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND LACK OF CONSIDERATION ABOUT OUR LIVES. I will be writing another honest Google review as well because other people should NOT COME HERE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD WITH APPOINTMENTS AND THEY JUST WANT TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK AND IGNORE APPOINTMENTS. Sent two emails, got their number, spoke with a woman who asked me to leave a message. Haven't heard a peep from them. ------------ I had gotten into a minor accident, and took my car to Caliber Collision to repair a long scratch on my door. They wanted to charge me $3,000 to replace my door, which I declined. They then charged me a $150 inspection fee, told me to pick up my car where I had to wait about 40 minutes, only to find when I got home that they had damaged part of the lining on my hood while inspecting the door. I took the car home and was able to scrub the scratch off with some dawn powerwash. So all in all, my experience with this place: - Left my car in a worse state then when I left it - took up about 2 hours of my time - cost me $150 for the privilege read more

Ivan and the team did an amazing job on two separate occasions for me. I originally brought my 4 series 2018 BMW into the shop because a work van rear ended me on my way into work one morning. Ivan and the team fixed it quicker than my original estimate and were very polite and transparent during the whole process. I have had a lot of bad experiences at different repair shops and this was the opposite. A few months later I brought my car in again because of a scrape on my lower front bumper and again the team did not disappoint. They had to work with BMW to fix it (a parking sensor got damaged) and were very quick and transparent during that process as well. Friendly, professional, experienced, and customer first. I brought in my car through my insurance since my car was scratched in my apartment garage during my travel out of town. Having prior experience with a similar repair job through insurance, I only brought in my car for an inspection to get the initial repair estimate to determine if the repair cost would be worth fixing the damages I was not responsible for. My previous experience inclined me to presume that these repair shops will give ludicrous estimates that will certainly max out the deductible of the insurance, even if the repairs seem trivial. I was wrong to presume negatively despite my previous experience. Reza and Steve at Caliber Collision quickly and masterfully analyzed the damage on my car and walked through their thoughts. They were transparent on what they thought was the best approach and even suggested trying a quick solution before preparing the estimate for the repair and the paperwork for the insurance company. Their suggestion, derived from years of expert experience, was able to fix the damage I initially brought in my car for, and furthermore, they graciously fixed other minor issues that has annoyed me. Since the whole "repair" ended prior to producing an estimate and going through insurance, I asked how much I should pay for their services, to which they graciously and firmly declined payment since to Steve and Reza, it was a trivial repair. I was not able to tip either since I did not have cash at hand and they also declined tip by Venmo. So here I am, with a claims ticket closed out without any financial sacrifice made on my end. Can't say enough kind words about the manager of this location, Walter Chacon. Smart, efficient, courteous, thorough, and very responsive to emails and phone calls. He made a simple repair a simple process! And the price was under the estimate so I was a very happy camper. Note to Caliber Collision corporate: Initially I went to the online estimate tool on Caliber's website. After submitting all of the info and pictures, I never received follow-up. Thinking I made a mistake, I resubmitted everything and verified that the system acknowledged my request. Still no follow-up, or even an email. What a ridiculous tool to have on their site! It reflects so poorly on the local stores because the perception is that they are the ones receiving the information. According to several shops I called, this is not the case. The information does not get transmitted to the local stores for follow-up. Mine was a clean situation (cracked taillight), no body damage, just needed a simple estimate for the part and installation. It's a shame Caliber doesn't utilize that tool on their website, or take it down so it doesn't affect the public's opinion of the local stores. read more
