We met a guy when he hit us from behind a 4-5 mph on 395. Camrys are a great car and they are designed to break down to protect the passengers. And it did.... Caliber is recommended by GEICO and unfortunately, we had used them before. The repair was excellent. The interface and updates from our rep could not be better. I managed to nudge a brick wall in a parking garage and scratched the $&@!€ out of the right front of my Camry. My insurance company recommended Caliber as my best option so I took my car there asap. My mother had used Caliber in Atlanta for a body damage repair and highly recommended them as well. After getting an estimate, I left my car and had it back in 4 days. I was impressed by the accuracy of their completion estimate! They also gave me a ride home after I dropped my car off. I don't recommend this shop for discerning car owners. They performed repairs on two of my cars in the past year and each time I had to bring the car back to have them fix things that should have been done right the first time. For example, they replaced some fender trim in my Audi Q7 but failed to install several of the clips that hold it in place. They were quick to remedy the problem, but my 5 yr. old could have done a better installation job. On the second car, they put the trunk emblem on crooked and I had to fight with them to do it right. They also failed to properly install the rear camera, which was literally hanging from the trunk upon delivery. And they did a really poor job of cleaning the car after the job was finished. The front office is fairly professional and the shop does nice paintwork, but they are a bit sloppy and don't pay attention to the details. Thus, if you're a car-guy looking for perfection then you should look elsewhere. read more

This is my second visit to Caliber Collision and I'm very pleased with the quality and timeliness of job performed. Top notch work. However, for those who may use Caliber Collision do heed their website instruction NOT TO LEAVE ANY valuables inside the car. When I picked up my car a braided USB connector I had dangling from the center console was missing. The staff could not alibi as to the whereabouts of the charging cord and offered to pay for it. That is not what I wanted - I wanted them to know that one of their employees took something that did not belong to him, Further, and in spite of the claims that nobody drove the car I found a) mirror changed; b) seat position changed; turn-signal stalk had been pushed in activating the high beam. Not a five star review at the moment. More like 2 1/2. Dimples from spraying and parts of repair looks like painted leather. Paint job does not look like the car came off the assembly line. They currently have my car to redo. Not happy at the moment. Does not look like a professional job. More like novice! Update to review: car returned yesterday looking like it should. Moved them up to four stars. However, the job should have been done correctly the first time. Ked the appraiser apologized. It was done within a day. Not sure why it took seven days to complete it the first time. No dents, just painting, sanding, etc... Car was cleaned prior to pickup. Overall, ok service. Make sure before you take possession of car that it meets your approval. Communication among staff could be better. read more

I already posted a 4 star review, but now that they solicited me for reviews in 3 different places, I am irritated. They fixed and painted my car well, but like other reviews, they just tossed my cargo net in the trunk, the trunk mat (protects the trunk from spills) was skewed, and the subwoofer was not reconnected and tossed in backwards. It was two wires...red and black. So, the repair was great, but the finishing touches is the difference between a good and a great review. So I had to do all that work..and this is Geico and Progressives "preferred center". HOW TO FIX THIS Just take a picture of the customers interior/trunk/etc, and put things back together..the way you found them. Still would recommend due to great collision repair and paint matching. It is the little things that must be reconnected and put back the way it was. I had OEM cargo net with obvious hooks, but instead it is TOSSED IN WITH MY SUB? Just one pair of pliers or a screwdriver could have punctured a speaker. Sorry, follow through by the tech was HALF ASS. read more

Front end staff were helpful and had great customer service. Older Individual doing inspections was unreasonable and barely looked over the vehicle. Took him about 2 minutes to do inspection. Underreported damage and said he would only fix estimate if I brought it in for work to be done. Update: Thank you for reaching out, however at this point there's nothing that can be done. If an employee isn't going to put in simple effort creating an estimate, than they're likely not going to put in the necessary effort to repair my car. read more

(I am listing this review under both Caliber Collision and the Lindsay Collision Center-Springfield, because both are equally culpable.) I used the Lindsay Collision Center-Springfield once before, many years ago, and they did excellent work. So when an accident repair done last year by Caliber Collision failed this summer, I chose Lindsay to make it right. Unfortunately, I found that Lindsay "ain't what they used to be". John Michael from Lindsay, along with one of his Techs and Angus, the Geico adjuster looked at my car. They all observed a half dozen things that Caliber had done wrong with the original repair. While I was standing there, they pulled a large dried piece of glue from behind the front fender that was sticking out. Embedded in it was what appeared to be a chrome letter from another vehicle. They said that a tab on the inside of the fender had been broken in the original accident, and instead of replacing the fender as they should have, Caliber had just glued it together, using the chrome letter as a make-do spacer. Both Lindsay and Geico agreed on the list of parts that were needed to repair my car correctly. John Michael promised to call me when the parts arrived. Days and then weeks passed, but I never heard from John Michael or Lindsay about my car parts, so I called several times, leaving messages for John Michael. He never called. I finally reached someone at Lindsay (two weeks later) who told me that my parts were in, but that they were so busy they would have to schedule an appointment for me a week later. When that day came, my car was at a repair shop with a headlight issue, so I told Lindsay I would need to reschedule. They told me the earliest I could get back in line would be another week. So, four weeks after I first brought my car to Lindsay, I was finally able to drop my car off to them. Unfortunately, the morning I did, John Michael was nowhere to be found and no one knew anything about my car. Another Lindsay person, Justin agreed to step in and help, though he was clearly not happy about it. Once he finally got my car checked in, Justin took me to the Enterprise counter that is located at Lindsay. There I discovered that no one had reserved a car for me. An hour and a half later, they offered me the only thing they had available - a Jeep (I normally drive a Lincoln) - with Lindsay telling me my repairs would be complete in 2-3 days. Two days later, I called Lindsay and ask for an update. They told me that Caliber had been protesting Lindsay's claim that the workmanship was at fault and so Lindsay had not started on my car. I asked to speak with the original team of John Michael from Lindsay and Angus the Geico adjuster who all agreed that it was Caliber's poor workmanship. They told me that John Michael 'is no longer with the company'. When I asked to speak with Angus, they instead referred me to a new adjuster, Nichole, who had now determined that the damage to my car is new and not related to Caliber at all. Nichole said that it looked as if I had had a new accident which broke off the inside fender tab. As a result, she told me I needed to file a new claim with Geico. When told Nichole that the original Geico/Lindsay inspection had found that the tab was broken from the initial accident and that Caliber had glued it back together, she admitted that she didn't know anything about that, but she said it was still her determination that a new accident had broken the tab. Justin from Lindsay actually argued with me, though Caliber may have glued the fender because the tab was broken from the original accident, the glue which they should not have used, would not have come loose without a new impact. (Try following that logic.) Since both Lindsay and Geico insisted that the fender sticking out was new damage (contradicting the original Geico adjuster, Angus, and John Michael who both agreed that it was Caliber's fault), I finally gave in and filed a new claim with Geico for the old damage which made everyone happy... but me. If you ever wonder why auto body repair is so expensive, it's got to be due, at least in part, to crazy situations like this. The insurance company will pay, so who cares? Apparently, not even the insurance company. Though Lindsay is only part of this dizzying debacle, they are definitely the enabler. And I will definitely NOT be back. (Note: I wrote this review in 2018 but just discovered that I never posted it.) read more

I would love to leave a better review, but I cannot. I have used them in the past and their work was great. They do have a warranty on their work and I will test that soon since the paint on my vehicle is flaking off of my bumper from this previous work. Because of my previous satisfaction, I brought another car back to them for some work due to a collision. The front bumper and grill obviously need to be replaced. The car is old and had some previous damage to the hood but it functioned before the accident. I mentioned that the washer fluid light came on the day after the accident and I was not sure if that was related or simply out of washer fluid. I was not involved with the accident and had forgotten that is was raining at the time of the accident. I also mentioned that the undercarriage shield fell off soon after the accident and that we placed it in the trunk. I did ask them to check out the vehicle and make sure that there was nothing else wrong - this should have included the washer fluid issue. When I picked up the car, it looked great and I confirmed that the hood functioned properly. Did not think of the washer fluid at that time. I did not think about it until a few days later when my daughter was getting ready to head back to college four hours away with this car. Washer fluid poured out of the hole in the reservoir as I attempted to refill the fluid. Obviously, they did not check for any additional damage. They did not bother addressing the undercarriage shield either. It stayed in the trunk. We had to arrange to go to another body shop near my daughters school to finish the repairs. read more

Although, I'm asking my insurance to take it somewhere else for a second opinion. HOWEVER... As an asthmatic who is SEVERELY allergic to smoke, STOP SMOKING NEAR OR IN MY CAR. This is the second time I've picked up my car and it has REEKED of smoke! I couldn't even make it a mile down the road without needing to air the car out, buy air freshener and let the car sit in the sun for over half an hour. I wish I could leave a better review. I am a very easy going person and it takes a lot to irritate me. That being said, they managed to piss me off four times. I had read all the negative comments but was keeping an open mind thinking maybe those reviewers were just hard-asses or something. This place was on my insurance's list, so I gave it a go..Nope it really was that bad. 1st Problem: I called to schedule an estimate. I double checked the date and time with the lady on the phone three times if I remember correctly. When I got there on that day and time, I was told I was supposed to be there the week before. The guy who does estimates had left for lunch. Waited 20 minutes before they got someone else to do it, who had been sitting there the whole time. 2nd Problem: Drop off - I showed up at 9am on the day that I was scheduled to bring my car in/pick up my rental. The Enterprise located in the building did not have any cars. My options were to wait a few hours and miss my meeting, or come back later to pick up a rental which would push back my repair time line. This was more of a problem with Enterprise than Caliber, but it was a huge inconvenience. 3rd Problem: Pick -Up (In two weeks they only called once to give me an update on my car, which for me wasn't a big deal) They called saying that the car was ready for pick-up between 6 and 630pm. I showed up just after 6 to find out the car was not ready, and I would have to come back the next day. The location is not in a super convenient spot that you can just swing by on your way home from work. I had to rearrange my schedule twice to pick up my car. 4th Problem: Payment - I asked what I owed for my deductible - remembering that I had been told it would be a paid (a few hundred dollars) when I picked up my car. When I picked up my car I went to pay my deductible, and I was told I owed nothing. I was also given a bill stating that said that customer owed $0. Now three weeks later they are calling for me to bring my deductible in ASAP because it had been brought to their attention that I neglected to pay upon picking up my car and that was when it was due. The repair was decent and completed in the time frame promised. In the many times that I was in, I saw two different customers unhappy with their repairs. The staff, namely Terry, seemed to handle the anger well. Generally speaking, the staff is friendly enough. read more

I personally hate writing bad reviews. However, this location is the exception to my rule of forgive and forget. I will never, ever, ever bring a vehicle to any Caliber Collision location ever again. I had to have body work and some parts replaced to my car after an accident on 495. Nothing too major is what I was told, and I would have my car back in a week or two. Never received any notices other than emails at 2 in the morning telling me my car was 54% complete for 3 days. And then nothing. And then when I was notified my car was ready, they said they left me numerous voicemails with updates. Um, no you didn't. Not on my voicemail. But thanks for potentially giving my personal information on someone else's voicemail. It took them a total of 6 days to complete my car and they should've taken longer. My paint does not match on my car. There is a distinct line showing where they painted, and what was original paint. I totally understand sometimes it can be *slightly* off.... But not 2-3 shades. They also did not replace my car horn after I told the Geico representative it wasn't working WHEN I dropped the car off. I was told the technician supposedly replicated it, and it was fine. K, but as a safety concern you should've taken it apart and checked the cables and housing to make sure it was all fine and dandy. The vehicle was just in an accident. Sure enough, when I picked the car up... My car horn is not working. I'm told I need to call them back in the morning when the rep is there and she will decide what to do. Oh, ok. So I get to waste even more of my time? Splendid. So now after emailing the rep I have to wait however many days or weeks for my new horn to arrive, and then I need to schedule a time for me to bring my car back in and wait while they work on it. And then they will look at their poor paint job and decide what to do after that. The only person to apologize is the poor receptionist (who wasn't that friendly to begin with) and the Geico rep. Not once has management reached out to me, or the technicians that performed work on my car. I have zero explanations for the crap job that was done to my car, and why half my parts are after market. And the other half are OEM. after I explicitly stated to the body shop (and my insurance) that I only wanted OEM parts and was told it would be handled. K, "certified" used parts don't cut it for me. And I know you used them to make a higher profit margin. I'm not naive and actually have quite a bit of knowledge about the automotive industry on the inside (boyfriend has worked for Toyota for 15+ years). Spare yourself of the potential headache of worrying about crap work and go elsewhere. read more

Caliber Collision was one of the places USAA listed as a recommended repair location after a snowstorm related accident. We picked this location because it was reasonably close to both home and office. There was a lot of phone tag between us, Caliber, and USAA. The biggest issue was timing. As I am sure you can imagine there were a lot of repairs lined up after SnowZilla. Hubby was actually hit the day before SnowZilla began but there was already a backlog for repairs all over the area partly because of the surprise dusting the Wednesday night before. The process ended up taking over three weeks once they got a vehicle, partly because of the numbers and partly because of the parts/pieces. Despite the laborious process I am a fan for two reasons: 1) Mike did a great job of keeping us informed and updated, & 2) the repairs looked good. read more

Went back for the second accident. Everything went well, was completed quicker than expected - 3 weeks versus a month. Zach was really helpful and always answered my emails in a timely manner. My car door makes a rattling noise, so I emailed Zach and he told me to take it in anytime. Unfortunately my schedule is extremely tight, but I plan on taking it in soon. My ONE gripe, my gas twist off cap was dusted in white paint. Really wish they covered it well enough when painting the car. Also, when I got the car back the side mirror had some white paint on the textured black area of the mirror. They took about 10 minutes to fix, I assume they just used paint thinner. Still, attention to detail needs improvement. read more

It's tough to give a good review when the company seems intent on not accepting your business. After a minor fender bender, I called Caliber to request an inspection/estimate. A girl answered the phone who was not exactly rude but was by no means a fount of basic customer service. She told me the soonest they would be able to see my car was nearly three weeks from that day. Was there a more convenient time, preferably a later time that allowed me to get to Caliber following work? No. Even though they close at 5:30, apparently any estimates past 4 were verboten. Over two weeks seemed unnecessarily long, but the damage to my car was manageable for a little while, so I said fine. I work in DC and it's tough to leave anytime before 5. 4 was impossible, so I tried for 4:30, which the Caliber rep was reluctant to agree to at first. When the day of my estimate arrived and I inevitably was forced to call them at 4:30 to tell them I wasn't going to make it on time, the same, "sunny" customer service rep put me on hold for five minutes before telling me I needed to reschedule. Then she told me the next availability was two weeks out! I said no thanks and called up Carcraft, down the road. Carcraft kindly apologized, but they were closing early that day (Presidents Day) due to the snowfall and could only see me before. Wait--what? Able to see me that very same day? Not only that, but they apologized for any convenience caused me by them having to close at 5...a single hour early. I thanked the rep and scheduled for three days later. No problems whatsoever. I'm not sure what the issue was with Caliber, but there was a huge disparity in the customer service they showed me and what Carcraft, a competitor literally up the road, showed me. Maybe Caliber was too busy and was truly swamped with business (with all the body shops along Backlick, I'm skeptical, though). Good for them--not sure why that means basic customer relations gets tossed out the window. At the end of the day, if you make it so painfully obvious you don't need my business, you don't get my business. read more
