I have been unable to obtain a clear resolution. My subsequent attempts to contact both GEICO and Caliber Collision have not resulted in a satisfactory response or confirmation that the approximately $300 for the unfinished work has been refunded. I have also attempted to resolve the matter directly by contacting Caliber Collision's customer support and posting a description of my experience on Yelp. To date, I have not received a satisfactory resolution. Looks like Caliber has been tricking and scamming on consumers very often! My concern is that Caliber Collision appears to have billed or received payment for repair items that were represented as part of the repair process but were not actually completed. The amount at issue is approximately $300. Although the dollar amount is relatively small, I believe the circumstances raise a serious concern about potentially deceptive billing practices and the accuracy of the claim submitted to my insurance company. read more

Cheers to Walter and Jennifer for making my experience so good. After originally going to another Caliber location for a door replacement, the door stopped opening a few days later. I called to make an appointment at that same location and when I showed up day of, I was told I actually made the appointment at this Sunnyvale location. I was confused as that was definitely the location I booked with, but it turned out to be a fantastic blessing in disguise. Turns out I wasn't crazy and this Sunnyvale location had no record of my appointment, but that didn't stop Walter from immediately making me feel heard and addressing my concerns. When they assessed the issue with the door lock mechanism, they needed to remove the entire door again to fix it. Jennifer was fantastic in coordinating an Uber to my office and back again in the afternoon once my car was ready. She even called to confirm whether I had received the notice of what car was picking me up, which I truly appreciated for safety. My door is opening and closing perfectly now, and I found the location that I will be returning for all car maintenance needs. 10/10 from beginning to end! read more

I brought my car in and I thought it was going to take at least two weeks or more like the other shops I've been to, but they actually were very quick and they were communicating with me at all times letting me know what was going on with my car and what stage it was It was actually given to me a lot sooner than expected, and my surprise they washed my car and cleaned the interior as well before giving it back to me they have great customer service. Overall I had a good experience and I am pretty satisfied with the quality of the work and the cost. This was my second time coming here, but the first time was 5 years ago and the other guy's insurance paid, so I really did not care much about costs. Based on that experience, I estimated, without being an expert, that the repairs cannot be under $5-6K and they weren't indeed (they were $6.6K in the end). The only reason why I'm giving them 3* is because of the original estimate. The accident was not big, but multiple components were broken/scratched/bent including the front bumper, one headlamp, the fender etc. They gave me an initial estimate of $2.5K based on pictures. I could not believe it can be that low, so I reiterated to them in words what I observed to be damaged, but the only thing they told me was that the final cost may be bigger than the original estimate. When I dropped the car, somebody took a look at it and again they did not say anything. In exchange they reiterated that the final cost may be bigger. 2 days after I dropped the car they told me that the new estimate is $6.5K and they said that one of the reasons is the headlamp which alone costs $1,500 (without labor). I was just stunned. The headlamp was visibly broken from the outside. An idiot could see that it's broken. How could they possibly miss such thing? The only possible explanation I have is that they are doing it intentionally to trap clients, but hey, it's the entire industry, so it is what it is. Just be prepared to pay a lot more than the initial estimate. read more

I was driving on 880 when my car was hit by a large piece of wood and damaged the hood & sensor on my vw golf. I was give a couple of options by my insurance and went for Caliber Collision on Maude. So happy I did! I took my car in and Jojo took pictures for the estimate. After receiving the estimate, I went to drop off my car and met Reuben. He answered all of the questions I had and said he would keep me posted as I was leaving for a 2 week vacation. I asked him about a non-related dent on the fender panel (to handle out of pocket) and he said he'd take a look and get back to me. While I was on vacation, they kept me posted on the status of the repair. Got back to me on the side panel cost and I told them to proceed. They also removed some scruffs and scratches from the front bumper and did not charge my insurance or myself. When I returned from my vacation, I found out I got covid. Reuben and Walter arranged for my car to be delivered to my house. Seeing my car, it looks like nothing ever happened to it. Yay! The team at Caliber Collision met and exceeded my expectations. My go to shop when doing any body repair to my cars! I found this place through my State Farm agent as it was part of their selective service program. Since the shop is part of the program estimates get approved instantly, no waiting, and was able to take in my car the very next day. My car had damage from the front bumper all the way to the back bumper I was sure it was going to be a big job but they finished it in a few days. The manager Roger and service rep Walter were much help throughout the whole process. I've been to other shops and the service wasn't much compared to what I got from them.
