This company was selected by our insurance company to complete the repairs on a 2003 Toyota tundra that had been vandalized. Caliber collision did very poor quality work on the interior repair. When I brought this to their attention, all I received were excuses of why they could not complete the repairs properly. I am now taking the vehicle to another body shop to fix their crappy work. And I am working with my insurance company to cover the additional cost. Don't waste your time, go someplace else. read more

When they removed the rain guards from my car to paint the door, they damaged the clear coat on the pillar by using a heat gun to loosen the tape, and dented the molding by prying against it. When reinstalling the rain guards, they reused the double-sided tape without the OEM clips, so by the time I got to work, the guards were falling off. When I raised these issues, they argued that the damage was already there, despite the fact that my 2023 Honda Pilot was essentially brand new. Later, when I brought my car back to address grease all over the inner wheel after they replaced a wheel bearing, they falsely claimed my vehicle had been in another accident because there was a scrape on the lower control arm that was clearly from the same accident that they just didn't want to fix. They also wouldn't show me the photos they had taken from under my car. This made it extremely difficult for me to get the rest of the vehicle repaired at a different shop. If you don't care about your vehicle, then this is the shop for you cuz they definitely don't either, especially Jeff. Complete hacks. Terrible communication. No responsibility. Don't even care to fix their own mistakes. They will try to give you your vehicle back with major fitment issues and issues that were never there even after your accident and prior to them working on your vehicle. I had my truck at their shop after someone ran into my front end Christmas morning. I was given my truck back with horrible paint work, body panel and component fitment issues (had to try saving the paint with painters tape) , malfunctioning sensors, windshield washer not spraying, uneven badges, headlight beams that were never aligned, fender/apron was never clear coated in the engine area under the hood, loose screws, and even a random self tapping screw put right thru the new tail light because they lost the oem one. I will never trust this shop again with any of my vehicles. read more

They deal with lot of claims through Geico, my insurance. I have used them twice for separate claims and timeliness was a problem both times, not sure if this is more on them or Geico. They wrote my vehicle up as a total loss after an accident in March 2020. I went to collect some things from my car while it was on their lot, and realized right away that a ~$170 part was missing that I had purchased to repair the damage to my car prior to realizing I could go through insurance. When I asked about where the part was, they started scrambling, and eventually a shop guy came out with the part and said "oh, somehow it ended up on one of the shop carts". I don't care that it was the part needed for the repair, it was MY PROPERTY, so why was it on a cart in THEIR shop? If I had left my Bluetooth speaker in my car while it was on their lot, would they have felt they had a right to remove it from my car to play their music while they work? Very not cool, very suspicious. I asked Kay Parks directly what they would charge to repair the damage and get my car back on the road without getting it to "pre-accident condition". They lied and told me that due to "liability issues" they could not do any work on my car unless it was to the specifications of insurance requirements to get it to "pre-accident condition". Without my consent, at some point they did do repairs on my car in preparation to send it to the auto auction, although I had not released the title, did not authorize the repairs, and intended to keep the car. Kay Parks also stole the battery I had recently purchased out of the car, replacing it with a junk battery that I now have to replace. The vehicle was ultimately returned to me and when I asked the Geico agent about the repairs, swapped battery, and now busted front fender, he claimed to have no knowledge of the repairs and denied involvement. Kay Parks had no issue doing the repairs, that by the way did not constitute repairing to "pre-accident condition", when they believed the car was headed to the auction yard but said they were unable to do these repairs at all when I asked them directly. Because of this, it is my belief that the insurance claims adjuster and Kay Parks worked together to try to make some money off the sale of my car. All of this to say -- this business is SHADY. I would not recommend to anyone to use their services, especially via a Geico claim. read more

Great repair work and service I would give 5 stars if they offered a shuttle service or loaner. That is why I go to the dealer they offer all the same things and a loaner for the same cost . But they did a perfect job and my insurance co rec I used them because they are a preferred provider. The process was explained to me step by step. The dents on the driver's back panel were unidentifiable, and they were great about explaining the care needed for the next month-- not washing the repainted area to allow the paint to fully cure. They handled all of the rental car processing, and I was able to leave my rental with them. Polite and highly competent staff. read more

I let a friend move my car around in her drive way when she accidentally backed it into a large rock. After hearing great reviews about this place, I took my car to Kay Parks. They gave me one initial estimate and told me my C-arm was bent. I called the ship again the next day and asked to schedule for repairs as soon as possible, which ended up being about 3 weeks out. I decided to wait for their availability since I had heard they do a good job. I dropped my car off on November 11th so they could start repairs on November 12th. I was told that my car would take roughly 4 days to repair but it could change depending on what other damage occurred. At that time, I told them that it seemed very quick since they told me a C-arm was bent. They told me there was no bent C-arm and that must have been a mix up, then assured me that they would call me in a few days if there are changes. After my car being at Kay Parks for 8 business days, I still hadn't heard anything. I called again and was told I would have updates soon, they were still "working on it". A few more days went by and there was no communication about what was going on with my car so I called again to ask. They told me they had to put in a supplement to basically request more money from insurance and that they would not do any work or order any parts until the supplement was approved. This was fine, but I expressed that I would appreciate communication about things like this since I was paying for a rental car through all of this. This same pattern kept happening and more things would need to be done with no communication. I called every few days and was told they were waiting on insurance approval but they would call with any updates, then were waiting for parts and would call with any updates, my car needed the alignment checked but it should be done soon, then it needed to be painted but it was almost finished, next it needed to be detailed and I would get a call with updates. There was no communication and they could never give me a straight answer about what was happening to my car or when it might be finished. Even up to the day it was done, I was told it would be finished by 4 then Bruce wanted to recharge my battery so I had to wait until the next. Overall, it took them 9 business days (2 weeks because of a holiday) to even have a complete estimate on my car to send in to the insurance company when the original completion time frame they gave me was 4 days. There was no communication on their end unless I was constantly calling them. They ended up having my car from Nov 12-December 21 to fix the back bumper and undercover of the trunk. The work was done well but it was not worth the hassle and run around. read more

So I got a Challenger SRT8 a few weeks ago. The car is a 2010 with 17 thousand miles on it. Easter Sunday I was taking the weekend car out to church with the family and BOOM flipping deer took out the driver side fender, front bumper, HID light, dented the hood and door! Urghhhhh!!!! My friend used to work there years ago and gave my their number because I'm not from the area. I was not disappointed. Bruce, the manager kept me in the loop during the whole process with my baby via phone texts which was awesome. Also, the front desk lady was always helpful and patient even when I believe I was a pest calling about silly things. Ok now the meat and potatoes, the car. My beautiful Chally was parked right out in front ready for me. I honestly believe that the car looks better now than when I got it from the dealership! They matched and blended the paint perfectly! I can't seem to find where the new paint starts and begins! (Believe me I have been looking at home!). I'm taking this puppy to MOPAR shows and going to give everyone their information because I'm sure I'm not the only poor schmuck who will destroy a deer or anything else and need body work in the Pudget Sound area. The fix is in. Overall a good body shop. It took two tries to get my car done right by them. First time it was returned to me with adhesive smeared on my windows and additional bumper damage. My car was damaged in the rear which included the hatch door, bumper, and the left light. I dropped my car of on a Monday and Picked it up on the next Monday. That was the fastest turn around I have ever experienced. A young lady by the name of Julie was very professional and guided me through the insurance process. She gave me a courtesy call mid week to let me know how things were going. They also sent updated texts everyday. I love the fact the they let me know daily how it was going. Another great experience. I got into a fender bender and remembered where the tow truck took me about 15 years ago--the last time I got into a bad one--Kay Parks. Place looked the same, friendly people from the receptionist to the mechanics. First rate fast service--even though it was the holidays. I received calls letting me know how the job was going. They understood I needed it and pushed to get it to me as soon as possible. Car works great now--had a bad front end collision. I've had a stroke of bad luck after purchasing my dream car - 3 minor cosmetic issues and recently a more significant damage. I've taken my car to Kay Parks all 4 times. This last time was somewhat disappointing - a job that was estimated at 6 days for completion took 30 days. The communication on the delays was minimal, and I felt like I had to call them for updates rather than them keeping me informed. There was some parts issues (needed a new hood) and it was hard to locate and Nissan had a 5 day outage at their factory - all understandable. But at one point- on a Tuesday, they said it should be ready by Friday, and they would let me know regardless on Thursday. That day came and went and I finally called them Friday afternoon to find out it was not going to be ready - again, I had to call them. It was determined that it wouldn't be ready until Monday. Monday came and went without a call.....Early Tuesday morning they called to say it was ready. Upon picking it up (1) the rearview mirror wasn't working - he fixed it quickly. When I got to work and tried locking my door with the (2) push button and it didn't work. And further review found they reused the (3) rubber lining under the hood and the part showing had dried and cracked paint and only one headlight was replaced from the accident and the old one was faded (4) and looked horrible. I went back Wednesday morning and pointed out my concerns, and Bruce was able to polish the headlamp, fix the door lock, and the rubber piece was cleaned up. My biggest frustration was the lack of communication. When I got my car rental I thought, well since it's only 6 days I'll go ahead and upgrade to a car more that my insurance covered. Well, that expense ($7/day) grew from approximately $50 to over $200 because I was never informed how much longer I was going to be without. Had they told me earlier, I could have exchanged the car for one that wasn't an expense. Overall, they do good work there, but 30 days for a job estimated at 6 days and with minimal communication was very frustrating this time. I HOPE I don't need an auto body shop again for quite some time, but if I do, I may rethink where I take my car in the future. read more

I had my car repaired here after being rear-ended about 5-6 years ago. Recently, I had a trim piece come loose and it was causing a problem. Bruce (the operations manager, according to his card) arranged for it to be quickly fixed (took 30-45 minutes) and waved me off when I tried to pay. Yes, they do quality work, but the thing I have really appreciated in my interactions is how "nice" these folks are to deal with. I have used this collision center when it was previously under "Kay Parks Auto" and had a great experience...this time was vastly different. Firstly, it took 2 months to get into an appointment (which I understand is a normal timeframe in the current economy due to limited personnel and difficulty obtaining parts), but when I called to confirm my appointment a couple days prior to my appointment, I was told there was no record of me having made an appointment. I had even sent in paperwork from my insurance company and ensured Caliber had received it. Thankfully (after almost crying on the phone due to frustration), Caliber said I could still drop off my car, but they probably wouldn't be able to assess it until the end of the week. I kept calling to check on the status (there was a chance my car could be totaled), and over 2 weeks later, they were finally able to assess my car. I received a text saying they were working on my car and it should tentatively be ready March 11th. I thought, sweet! My car isn't totaled! I called to confirm my car will be worked on and wasn't deemed totaled. The receptionist told me the car wasn't totaled, and they were starting work ... sweet! Received a call 30 min later from Caliber--whoops! The receptionist was new--actually, my car is totaled. Okay... I get being new. No problem. Kind of annoying, but I get it. I talk to my insurance company about the next steps last night. They advised me to go to Caliber and clear out all of my personal items from my car, as the insurance company would be sending a tow truck to pick up my car to take to auction. The insurance agent ensured me the tow company would not pick up my car unless Caliber had received verbal confirmation from the owner (me) for permission to tow. Less than 24 hours after speaking with the insurance agent, I went to Caliber to clean out my car... AND MY CAR WASN'T THERE. It had been towed. Towed without my consent, and Caliber doesn't know where it was towed to... cool! All this to say, I will never be using them again. And I recommend you go elsewhere, too. I had a great experience working with them! They worked directly with State Farm Ins. to figure out my rather unusual claim. Bruce was there every time I called, every time I stopped by, always helpful with a smile. Everyone in the office is very polite and professional. Installed a new aftermarket bumper on my Del Sol and it looks perfect, and did a couple extra little requests for a very low price. Well, I can't say if they do a good job or not. June third went on vacation, years to save up. Get text June 15 car was impounded by Tacoma police, stolen from driveway. Arrest was mad, not, the driver, who I don't know, never heard his name before was taken in for a warrant, the police refuse to charge with stolen car, report says no damage to car, no accident. State Farm gets it from imbound and brings it to Kay Parks, they say it is the only one they can find to fix it. (Fix what?) I talk to them June 17, they say they will order parts and have it done in a week, something about a tire. Okay, I drop off spare keys since the guy who I don't know who did not steal my car did not give back the keys he took, on June 18. A week goes by, no call, they are working on it they say. Another five days, I again call oh there working on it. Another week goes by, I call again oh we just need an allignment maybe tomorrow. Few more days, no call. I call them, not once have they called me you see. Well they drove the car all over the place for three weeks never had a problem, but on the way to the allignment it broke down and they towed it someplace else, call back Monday and they can tell you. They did not. I called all 6 Kia dealers and found that my car was dropped off the week before on Wednesday, no one called me, that Kay Parks was called and had not returned by of there phone calls and they can't fix the fuses until they get a call from Kay Parks. Call Kay Parks and Bruse said a whole different story that the car was with him on thrusts you, that the tramsmission went, and that Kia has not called him with details. Call State Farm, they know nothing about nothing. Here we are 28 days after my car was stolen, with a police report that states the car was not in an accident, was not damaged in anyway, with a bill from Kay Parks for more than $3500 worth of damage not counting the fuses, the extra towing, or the alignment, with no one knowing where the car actually is, and everyone pointing the figure to someone else. No I would not recommend Kay Parks and if I was in the state or if the car was not so close to completion I would be demanding them to surrender it now. As is, I will demand State Farm to approve another place to look at the car and make sure repairs were actually even done on a car that in police report states it had no damage. Also they have refused to allow me to see the car in all this time. I last saw my car June 3, I had to write a report what was stolen, I could not write it, I don't know, do I have a stereo, do I have a cd, do I have keys, do I even have a car because as of this morning they could not tell me were it was. read more
