First, we just want to say that we love our Starcraft travel trailer. It's spacious, great cabinets…read morefor storage, well built, and very nice looking. The RV itself is great, which is why I gave this three stars instead of one. That is where it ends. The service details and inspection department is terrible. They keep it for an entire week after you purchase your RV, so the service department can go through it, inspect and adjust or fix anything the needs repairing, right? Well, I don't know what they did during that week, but the septic tank came to us plugged. Their suggestion was to use the tablets, which did work eventually, but had they done the check system in the first place, we wouldn't have had to deal with it. The pipes under the sink have been leaking since we brought it home. They are now fixed (by us), but again had they done the check system in the first place, we wouldn't have had to deal with it. The shower was leaking under the sink in the close out area. It's fixed now by us but, had they done the check system in the first place, we wouldn't have had to deal with it. This RV was not even two years old when we bought it and there were just too many issues that should have been caught and repaired by the service department during the week they kept it for "inspection." IF you purchase from this Blue Dog location, possibly bring someone along who knows the ins and outs of RVs to check over their work. Don't just trust that they are doing their job with the inspection/repairs. Finally, we paid cash for this, which they weren't thrilled about. Then their sales department tried pressure and push us to buy the three year warranty. Now I see why. We didn't purchase the warranty and we are glad we didn't. Their RVs can be good, the service department, not so much!

We finally left a message with Josh explaining our situation and he called me back, and after giving more details he drove the 20+ miles to where we were parked and started to trouble shoot and diagnose the problem. Josh spent several hours trying different ideas to get it fixed and in the end found a way to temporarily refill the air bags. After filling the air bags he stated "I wanted to make it possible for you and your family to make it home" in which we did. At anytime while he was trying to fix the problem he could have said I am not able repair the problem and I wouldn't have blamed him one bit, but he didn't he just kept working on the problem until a temporary solution was found to allow us to drive the 400 miles to get home. The next day he even called me to make sure that we made it home without an trouble. So for any rv repairs or breakdowns (god forbid) I would not hesitate to call him again.

He bolted them. Then we called Josh again to put a toggle switch(battery disconnect) into our pull car. And another time to prep our motorhome for our next run. Josh is fast, efficient, very reasonable compared to many mobile rv repair operators. We have tried more than 4 different mobile techs and I can definitely say Josh, Bear Ridge Repair is the best! My rv requires nothing more now, ready to leave in just a few day for 6 months on the road. You will not be disappointed!

Then they get…read morethe salespeople to say phrases like "we're not making any money on this deal, its below Wholesale" "This is marked down so far, we're actually losing money!" Only to wait until you get approved through the financing lock in your deposit and use a Buy & Sell on interest rate method. You might get approved for a lower rate, but they won't tell you and try and markup the interest rate on the back end. 2% to 4%. Meanwhile they'll tell you what a great rate they you got. Once your Deposit is locked in, they will use it as an extortion tool to force you to move forward or forfeit. It has nothing to do with holding the vehicle before "someone else buys it" - False scarcity mindset tactic. Also fear of loss of method. Additionally, they will also use extremely unethical high-pressure tactics to force you into an extended warranty for your coach. Even if you Decline it 4 times, they keep dropping the price of the warranty to give you a "Great Deal" on the warranty and show you service records of how much this will cost you if you don't do it creating a forced fear tactic and feeling on win closing tool. If you're someone that doesn't like games don't stop at this dealership. Also; Don't use their financing, go to your own bank or credit union before moving forward with their purchase or giving them a dollar. You'll get a better rate, no backend 1990s haggling sales methods. If you ask what the rates on they will say "only way to know is get approved, they have so many factors" - No just call you bank and ask for a Current Rate Sheet. Go into your bank, credit union whoever and ask for a Current Rate Sheet with the Tier'd credit on it and compare it to the rates the dealership is offering. Clearly this company is all about marking up the points on financing and making as much money as possible on the warranty meanwhile promising you they're family owned and they'll do the best they can. They probably also have a substantial dealer hold back on the price or get a manufacturer rebate. Don't believe the "We're losing money on this" tactics.
