Well it was actually a 0 but that wasn't an option. My husband and I decided to go for dinner. We walk in and are told to seat ourselves, so we did. No one ever brought us menus my husband had to ask for them. There were several servers on and no one even acknowledged us. My husband made a gesture to the hostess who was too busy watching wheel of fortune to come over to the table. The one server decided to put on her coat and go for a smoke break and the other 2 were standing behind the counter. After 10 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. Please tell me how you can run an establishment with employees who don't have a clue. There are so many options around the area to eat, so I can guarantee that one of them will be willing to take my money. This was my first and will be my last trip there. Just had a Steak Sub and it was the worst I've had from a pizza place. The steak was so salty, it was almost inedible. The bread was stale. Other comments, it looks like if eat on, you get served on picnic ware and there are too many children working. Had an experience to dine in with a group by their choice. We had a group of 10 and called ahead and was told by the gentleman to come on it no issue. We got there and was greeted by the blonde server and when told the party of 10 arrived she was very rude slamming tables together. Part of the party was not there and after 5 minutes grabbed the menus sitting in the unoccupied seats. Not happy about the utensils sitting out in plastic cups that have been sitting out for who knows how long and who touched it. You can not get an in marinaded chicken breast, so no healthy choices. The pizza I had was good flavor. As far as the menu, it is very limited for a sit down restaurant. For the wing flavors, there are no description so there is no way to make an educated choice. read more

I don't really understand why this place only gets 2.5 stars. I've been here a few times and have only had good experiences. One star loss because some of their bottles are a little pricey, and the beer cooler could definitely be cleaned (I found a moldy bottle) but other than that it's pretty good. We have gotten wings, pizza, other various appetizers and beers here and they have all been good. I don't even really like wings, but their variety of sauces makes me want to try more and more of them. If your looking for a classy restaurant, this is not it- but they also don't try to be. They are a bar, they serve their pizza and wings with paper plates and baskets. And you know what? That's fine with me. They have daily drink and food specials that you can find on their menus. I enjoyed the grandma rufo pizza and the honey sriracha wings, but it was nothing exceptional. We weren't blown away by the white pizza or the regular pizza with a couple of toppings. My family was not a huge fan of the crust on the regular and white pizza. We picked up our meal so can't comment on the service, but the pizza and wings were both hot when they got to our house and the crust on the grandma pizza was nice and crisp. We did find the regular pizza a little on the pricey side. Probably wouldn't order from here again. read more

Pizza is good don't get me wrong but I live down the road and have tried this place several times and never seem completely satisfied. Overpriced for quantity you are served and each time I've tried either something is forgotten or wrong or extremely late and yet I'm still charged. Solid pizza. World's best? - they have a few things to straighten out before I would go that far. Ordered takeout last evening (Friday). Web based order process is fantastic - works great with one exception. The email notification I received stated that the order would be ready in about 30 minutes. 2 hours later my food was ready. Caliente: YOU NEED TO FIX THIS! Don't lie to people with false promises. I felt absolutely terrible for the poor ladies working your takeout counter. They were swamped and customers were upset. Not a single manager appeared to be around to assist. The result for me: a couple of ok pizzas, a wilted salad that sat under a heat lamp for an hour or so, and a couple of upset people that had to wait way too long for dinner. Lots of potential- just need to work out a few bugs. Oh and that nasty exhaust fan you have blowing out on to the sidewalk.... and your voicemail/on-hold messages should be reconsidered. Came here for the famous "worlds best pizza" and wasn't disappointed. The "quack attack" was a pan pizza with duck, mushroom and a bunch of other stuff I don't remember but loved. It's pricey but worth it. My girlfriend and her kids had a traditional pizza that was also quite good. Many draft beers and a fun environment. Will come again. read more

I was skeptical at first when I tried this place because of the 2.5 star review but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a small pizza, garden salad, and the beach fries all which were pretty tasty in my opinion and were all large portions. This was also during lunch hour and was part of the "pick 2 for $8.99" special which is very reasonable! Not good food. I've given it around 4 tries to see if they were just off. I've ordered delivery and dined in. Yikes! Pizza dough is thick, spongy, kind of sweet; just not good dough. Quality of toppings....SCARY. That Chicken Ranchero chicken....WTF is that....Seriously. It seems like it is machine processed cubes. It has a strange flavor....just an off flavor. Wing flavors are plentiful and not good at all. If you get wings just stick to the regular Franks style hot or you will wonder WTF is this. They do have quite a few beers on draft...many of them craft. They are expensive and not many a good IPA around....Usually some double or imperial. My partner ordered a tulip of some imperial and it was around $10.00 for 8 ounces or so. So food just plain sucks. Service is pretty darn lackadaisical. Kind of like....we don't really care that you are here and we'll let you sit there for a long time to prove it even if we aren't busy. Delivery drivers are on autopilot, barely speak, have almost no communication skills. Holy my god the bathrooms are really, really bad. Hold your breath and don't touch anything bad. And it sucks to have to say this but be fare warned....a couple of the dudes that work there are unkempt. Like homeless looking unkempt. Come on dudes. Its the service industry. You can still have a beard and long hair, but keep yourself clean for your shifts: take showers and don't look gross and greasy. Yikes. There is one cool guy. Nice, clean, provides good service and speaks like he actually cares. He usually works downstairs so if you go there go down and try to get him. Definitely not anywhere near the best anything. Caliente makes a pretty good pizza, but it's not exactly an exceptional pie despite them continually winning awards with specialty pizzas. Their other items -- sides, wings, apps, etc -- are all fine as far as bar food goes. Service has been shaky at their Mt Lebanon location. Several times I've gone there there the order has been wrong in some way (wrong wing flavors, wrong pizza toppings), but to their credit they have been responsive to the complaint and offered the corrected item at no charge. read more

SO disappointing. We've ordered from the Bloomfield location several times and delivery is a nightmare. On one occasion, we waited over 2 hours for our pizza (it was supposed to be 45 minutes) so we called and they said it was at the pick up window waiting for us - they got confused and didn't realize it was for delivery. I will say they did re make the pizza for delivery and didn't charge us. We ordered delivery last night and were told 45 minutes to 1 hour, and called after an hour and a half. We were told that the pizza wasn't even out of the kitchen and if they get busy that delivery will usually take 2 hours (which I can understand, but don't tell us a different time when we place our order). We would have ordered from somewhere else had we known it would be that long. Finally, the driver calls me and says they're outside but no one is there. They were at the wrong house. When all was said and done, we were eating dinner at 10:30pm and the pizza was cold. I give them two stars because the food is actually good, but the service is such a nightmare that it's not worth it. read more

While the food was good, and our service was good, we did not have a good experience. Mid meal, a large party of 15 walked in, and a hostess asked us to move our seats. It was then that the people asking us to move for them started laughing and point at us. We never should've been asked to move, and our meal should've been comped due to both the inconvenience, and the rudeness of the other table. Lots of food and draft beer options in a bar setting. Specials daily. Newer place in a prior restaurant at the same location. There are other locations in this franchise. Server was very friendly and our food came out quickly. Not too busy on a Wednesday night. The menu is huge win lots of apps, sides, wings, pizza, calzones, etc. pizza was good and flavorful and would definitely get again. Thick crispy crust. They do deliver. The red sauce in the pizza seemed a little sweet. The grilled chicken pizza was good but spicy for those who don't like anything hot. My only complaint is I asked for ranch with my pizza and they charge 75cents extra. I hate when places do this! We just spend $50 on pizza, salad and beer, I don't think I should be charged and extra 75cents for 2 tbsp of ranch! Regardless, I'll be back to try more tasty pizza! read more

The pizza's okay. It's nothing to rant or rave about, one way or the other. The staff are similar. They're not super welcoming, courteous, or helpful, but they're also not rude or nasty. Their website lists "Every day specials", but apparently these only apply to dine-in orders. You wouldn't know this, however, until you go to check out. I called, placed the order for pick up of a three-topping XL pizza. The woman who took my order told me the total, after tax, would be $13.90. When I went to pick it up, the cashier advised my total was $21.57. I advised her that I had been given the $13.90 price by the woman when I placed the order. She shrugged it off as, "That's the dine-in price." I can definitely understand this. What I can't understand, however, is that I placed the order on the premise of its price, otherwise I would've gone to Fiori's. I won't be returning. Just had Caliente for the first time and got our order to go. It was DELICIOUS. I had the grilled chicken salad and my husband had the Buffalo chicken hoagie. It was the best Buffalo Chicken Hoagie I ever tasted. When we picked up our order the atmosphere inside looked awesome. We will be back to try the pizza that looked delicious! Also, they are in the entertainment book if you have it. This is why we gave it a try. We got both our meals for a total of 9 dollars! Now they have 2 new customers :) UPDATE: still loved my first experience. I had to go down a star because I just had the pizza. Not a fan. Too much sauce and it is a sweet sauce. Was told one price on the phone, but when the driver got here she had 3 different receipts and all had different prices in them. They added charges to my card without my authorization. Came here on a Friday night around 7-8pm. Originally it was pretty crowded and then there weren't many people around at all for some reason. The place was so dark there was barely any lighting to read the menu. Our waiter was friendly, but as we were seated, our waiter was frustrated and complaining about how many tables he had and other occurrences throughout his night that we didn't really need to hear about. I ordered their $5 sangria special which was pink lemonade and it was just okay. We both had a beer each and I did enjoy their variety of beer selections available. We ordered a steak rancher hoagie and a buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza was very good and the steak hoagie was alright. It has a lot of thick bread on it which was very filling. Rather have more meat than bread. Once we finished we were given the check without asking if we wanted anymore drinks or dessert and felt kind of rushed. I'm so disappointed by Caliente's tonight... I ordered the Buffalo chicken rolls and not only were they lacking flavor, the dough was completely raw in the middle. I also ordered the mystery flavor wings, which was another huge disappointment, the wings weren't tossed in the sauce and came plain with a sauce on the side. I'm pretty sure the "mystery sauce" is just a Buffalo ranch but either way, unimpressed. I will admit that when it isn't burnt, the food at Caliente is delicious and the menu is extensive. But it's also a crapshoot. You may get your food done well and on time and you may be charged correctly. But most likely you will not get all of those things at the same time. And if there is a problem, you will struggle for resolution. Caliente relies on convenience. They are in a good location with ample parking. But from now on, I will drive past Caliente to get pizza that I know will be done right and a bill that is accurate. read more
