You need "top of the line" asphalt work or road drainage repair? Call California Asphalt Professionals for sure! These guys are AWESOME! We called on a Thursday and Joe came out the day after to assess the work needed with a growing sink hole on our road and also some asphalt work. The sink hole was a tricky job to bid, but Joe was quite reasonable with cost estimate for exploratory dig to find source of problem. The CAP crew showed up the following Tuesday morning, got right to work and found/fixed the issue with a new drainage pipe. The crew also cut out and repaired a section of our road that had been slowly sheering in the middle for years. Now, after the top notch work from the CAP crew, that same section drives like you are on glass. Outstanding job! They even found two buried culvert drains we didn't even know existed on the road and cleared them spotless. Above and beyond the call, Joe and crew! Thanks again for the awesome work. Joe's bid was $1,300 less than our first one!! He was very kind and professional. His workers are hard working and respectful. They were laughing and joking while they were working. I feel he treats them right and that is important to me. They sure have a hard job!! We had them put in a 12' x 37' base rock pad for our travel trailer so it would not sink into the dirt. This is a family, fourth generation run local business. Joe Jones is a true professional, easy to deal with, straight forward and a very nice genuine guy. Joe connected with us promptly upon request, emailed an estimate very quickly. We've delayed the job of repairs to a commercial parking lot that was in really bad condition. We couldn't afford the high expense we were quoted by others. Joe's estimate was reasonable so we jumped on it. Joe arrived with heavy duty machinery and a 6 men crew to prepare the parking lot on July 17, 2019. Within four hours, the nearly 16,000 SF lot was done and tenants were able to park back until the following day. We expected the job to take two days, but 7 men along with all the machines and necessary tools poured 2 inches of asphalt and did an absolutely beautiful, high quality job in one day! The stripes including the disability parking and ramps were done the following day, so 3 days all together. I hate to see cars drive on this beautiful looking asphalt, Lol! Our tenants are extremely appreciative of how nice their home is looking now. I'd rehire CA Asphalt Professionals in a heartbeat and highly recommend them, especially for a large job. This company can deliver beyond expectations. We are one happy customer. I went with CAP over the other 2 quotes because, not only did I feel they were fair, but Joe took the time to answer all my questions and explained everything. They were the only company that quoted me 2.5 inches compacted asphalt (the others were more vague which means after compacting it would be closer to 1.5 inches- not nearly enough). They showed up on time and completed the job professionally and quickly. They also edged the drive with 2x4 wood to keep the edges from crumbling down the slope. My job was 1700 sq. ft asphalt driveway on soil. I dealt with Jason Jones - the operator of California Asphalt Professional's Southern California operation; however, his invoice reads Jones Paving, Perris, California. My experience sound like Mark S.' review dated August 3, 2016, with a few twists. Jason and met at my home on the day I called for the quote, June 4, 2018 gave a quote of $3,000 to complete the job as follows: pre-grade for water drainage, apply weed killer, 2 1/2 " hot mix asphalt, compact, and apply seal coat in 90 days free of charge. He did not lay the asphalt until June 12, 2018 due to threat of project cancellation. In a nutshell, the California Asphalt Professional Southern California operation may be a great at paving parking lots, but I would think twice about hiring them perform your residential job for the following reason. 1. Jones appears to have project capital funding issues. My job was 1700 sq. ft. and I had to give him money to "pay is men" ($300.00") and "for asphalt" ($300.00) in addition to the $600.00 deposit I gave him. 2. Jason gives you reason why thing haven't happened on one day and other line on another day; 3. I question the qualification level of the personnel used to perform the work; 4. A no show for work and no call to advise the workers did not show up occurs; 5. The surface of the asphalt laid is inconsistent - smooth in some spots and rough in other spots; 6. Asphalt depth is inconsistent leaving an uneven surface on the driveway and depressions; Jason said he can fix the unleveled areas by patching them. Begs to ask why the surface was not laid properly to avoid the unlevel surface when the job was done? 7. The project dragged to the point that I had to threaten cancellation of the project if the project was not completed by as certain date and time; 8. After the threat of project cancellation, project was performed which left uneven surface and edges, and the loose asphalt debris swept onto the driveway apron and contiguous walkways; 9. The workers took the liberty to use a garden plant spacing board from my garden to use as a brace to run the asphalt machine over, damaged the wood and left it in the yard; 10. The workers damaged stamped concrete at the edge of the abutting concrete driveway and filled the damage with asphalt, and cracked another edge of the stamped concrete, and 11. The workers disconnected the drive chain on the electric sliding gate without permission to accessed project. The workers attempt at reassembling the drive chain has resulted in the need to have the gate service because it now does not close completely. It is probable that Jason's intentions are honorable, however, by his admission, he is a saleperson. He probable knows a lot about paving, and does a wonderful job at paving parking lots, but residential - complete your due diligence on residential job completion and homeowner job satisfaction first.
