California Auto Glass was recommended to me by my mechanic. I called them and spoke to Crystal about the right-rear quarter-glass on my vehicle. She stated that they had the glass in stock and that installation would take between 30 minutes and an hour and cost $140. That sounded like a decent deal, so the next day I drove the 18 miles to the shop and was informed by Crystal, "I thought you meant the windshield." They did not have the glass in stock. There was not a word of apology or any acknowledgement that I'd just wasted my time on a 36-mile round-trip based on false information. I should have turned around and walked out then but Crystal advised me that she could check to see if she could order the glass. After waiting for 10 minutes, she told me that she found it but that it was only available as an original part and would cost $300 for the part and installation. I was told it would be delivered early the next week. So, I put down a $60 cash deposit and drove home. On Wednesday, the next week, I called to inquire as to whether they'd received the glass. Crystal informed me, again without taking any responsibility or offering any word of apology, that "it turns out they don't have the part. It's out of stock and won't be in stock any time soon." I now have to make another 36 mile round trip to go pick up my deposit and will still not have a window in my car. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Overall this was a good experience, I will do business with them again. I came in on a Tuesday to leave a deposit for a windshield, and two days later it arrived to the shop. Unfortunately the warehouse didn't have anybody to bring the windshield in, but they accommodated for me by sending out a driver while I waited here. The staff is very friendly, and the girl at the front desk is very kind. After reading the previous reviews, I know people encounter issues and they tend to blame the receptionist or the front desk. I got a quote for $100 one day, came back the next and price was the same. My rear, passenger right side window was cracked and they offered the lowest price to replace it. What I didn't like was that they left some glass in my back seat. I would've liked for them to vacuum it properly. Everyone was nice and I didn't feel uncomfortable. I took my Jeep here to get the regulator replaced on one of my windows. I was quoted a price over the phone. But when I got there I was told they only took cash. But I didn't have time to go get cash and come back to get the work done. So I went back the next day at 8am (right when they opened) with cash. Then I was told I would be charged $20 more for the same service?! I asked why... and was told "just because". I couldn't believe it! Last was a semi which was replaced 3 weeks ago, they didnt install the windshield right and was making loud annoying noise when driving at high speed because air was escaping thru. When i brought the unit to them to get it checked the lady at the counter was very rude and disrespectful, she kept asking for a receipt which they have in their system and wanted tp deny the warranty.
