Please, if you ever get a DWI or DUI and you are ordered by the court to get an Interlock device…read moreinstalled, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! The 800 number I called, well, let me not try to draw this out into a long story. See, you have to call the 800 number to go to any of their locations in order to get the IID installed. I called them and, i swear, they have bimbos working there, who will ask you really incompetent questions and seem like they are more there for eye candy then to actually assist clients (No, I didn't see them but when i talk to the upper tier management, the President of the company, you will see why I sensed this). For instance, here is a convo betwixt me and the "saleswomyn": Me: "Yes, I would like to get it installed at this location (it was already addressed that it is in the valley). SalesGIRL (And I use that term emphatically to describe her vacuous mindset): So you want to get it installed in the valley". Me: "Doh'!" Interestingly enough, the men there are VERY competent. Sexist hiring practices, much? Anyways, the first time I set up an appt., the salesman intelligently reminded me that since my DMV hearing was still pending, that it was not feasible to go through with the installation process lest I set it up and didn't need it in the future after the hearing. After about a week or two after the hearing results, I call them back and that is when I get what I can only describe as the bimbo salesGIRL! She is the one who asked would I like to get the IID installed in the valley AFTER establishing where I was going to be getting the IID installed, which is in the valley. Through her this Monday, I set up an appointment to meet with the people of Audio Connection at 818-990-377. So, for Wednesday at 2:30pm, I had a bonafide appt. set up. While I am on the road, sight unseen, I get more incompetence as I am asking the receptionist at Audio Connection for directions. When I am lost, he said, "It is because you gave me the wrong directions." Not once did I note he gave me bad directions or that I felt he did something wrong. When I called him out on his poor behavior, he says, "Oh, I thought you said something about my giving you the wrong directions." I had a bad feeling right there. Now, while we were on the phone and he was issuing me directions, take note, I told him that I HAD A 2:30PM APPT. Not once did he ever say that there was no 2:30pm appt. When I get there, he tells me point blank, without so much as even looking at the computer, "We do not have a 2:30pm appt. set up". I seriously felt discriminated against because I am an African American female who wears her hair natural and I know what gender bias (basing a womyn's value/ worthiness on looks rather than what she can intellectually offer as a multifaceted person) and racism could do. I had the feeling that because I was not pretty to them, I was not worth serving. Fuck that shit! I also got a string aura of incompetence so maybe it was both racism, especially MISOGYNY/ CHAUVINISM and just a wee bit of incompetence combined. They claimed they didn't have me in their computer. I called Advantage Interlock, the ppl. who first set me up with the appt., up and asked what was going on. Sure enough they said I was in their system but then they said that all their appts didn't get transfered due to working on a new system during the weekend then they changed when they were working on and went to a new system from the weekend to Monday (WTF?!!!??) To make matters even worse, now audio connection claimed that they were busy. I was waiting there for an hour so that they could "fit me in", while there, I saw not one car there. I saw a bunch of cars arrive, but not one new car while I was there. Incensed and justifiably so, I confronted the manager/ owner! I told him how I felt that I was possibly being discriminated against, why did the receptionist (a guy) never mentioned anything about there not being a 2:30pm appt over the phone, and if they were so busy, what happened to the lies...oops, I mean lines of customers who they had to "fit me in with". Yeah, they didn't want to fit me in because I am a black nappy headed hoe, in Don Imus parlance. Now, it gets better, hell, worse! Behavior like that does not happen in a vaccum. It usually comes from the top! I called the manager that day who, I hate to say it, sounds like an idiot. He referred me to the company president, whose name is CHICK (Yes, I could not believe the idiocy either). I call Chick up first thing in the morning (btw, it was a dude) and now the idiocy, racism, and def. misogyny with getting window eye candy browsing bimbos to work in the office as eye fodder while hiring obviously intelligent men all started to make sense to me. He told me that he is the most "UN politically correct person you will ever come across in your life," that "he is short". Enuff said!

I bought a new car in , the first installer didn't even speak a word of English or Spanish, leaving me to wonder why I came so the manager Jerry had to come install the IID. The next day I had some trouble starting so my car. I took it in to get it checked out. I couldn't find my receipt but figured for they should have it in their system. I go there and ask for Jerry . Some guy names Jimmy tells me there's nothing listed under my name or last name, which started to get me a little frustrated. Then he insults my intelligence by asking me whether i'm sure that I got the IID installed at that location...... um YES! I told him I don't know why when you call and ask for technical help nobody answers.

I brought my 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD to Automotive Entertainment HB for a complete custom audio installation using premium equipment, including an Alpine iLX-F511 head unit, Focal K2 Power 3-way speakers, Focal K2 Power coaxials, a Rockford Fosgate Power T2500 amplifier, a Helix V Eight DSP Ultimate, an AudioControl Epicenter, and a custom enclosure for two DD Audio DD2508G subwoofers. I provided the DD2508G subwoofers, and the shop fabricated the enclosure. I chose this shop because I expected professional workmanship to match the quality of the equipment being installed. I was originally told the installation would take approximately two days. Instead, my truck remained at the shop for over a week. When I picked up the truck, while the system was being demoed for me, I was immediately told that the system could not be turned above volume level 28 because it would distort. That was the explanation given to me during the delivery of a premium audio system. After inspecting and troubleshooting the installation myself, I discovered numerous problems. A speaker wire had been cut during installation, leaving the driver's side midrange speaker without signal. Each speaker was on its own dedicated channel, but the tweeter had been connected to the same channel that was intended for the midrange speaker. As a result of this wiring issue, the tweeter on that channel was damaged. After discovering these installation issues, it became clear that the distortion and volume limitations were not simply a limitation of the equipment, but were related to installation problems that should have been identified and corrected before the vehicle was delivered. The rear passenger-side coaxial speaker also intermittently loses signal and produces engine noise instead of music. I also discovered additional electrical installation concerns in the engine bay, including exposed ends on the 1/0 power wire connections. These exposed connections raised concerns regarding the quality of the electrical installation and the attention to detail expected on a high-end audio build. The protective subwoofer grill that I paid for was never installed or provided. The invoice specified a custom HDPE amp rack, but the installed rack does not match what was described on the invoice; instead, it appears to be constructed from MDF. I was also charged for removal of my previous audio components. While the shop did remove two amplifiers and the AudioControl Epicenter, I was also charged for removal labor for components that had already been removed before bringing the truck to the shop. I also paid for DSP calibration and tuning. In my opinion, that service could not have been properly completed because the system had unresolved installation problems at the time it was supposedly tuned. These issues should have been identified and corrected before the vehicle was delivered. I previously worked with the shop to resolve the issue involving the custom speaker pods, and that portion was addressed. However, several other invoice items remain unresolved, including charges for items and services that were either not provided, did not match what was invoiced, or were not able to be properly completed due to installation issues. I attempted to resolve the remaining issues professionally. I sent a written reimbursement request identifying the specific invoice items I dispute and also visited the shop in person. On my first visit, I was told to come back another day. I returned to try to discuss the matter again. During that visit, I spoke with J.T. (Juan Torres), who told me the matter would be handled by his lawyer, that he was done discussing it with me, that I needed to get in my truck and leave, and I was called "a person that likes drama." As I was leaving, J.T. (Juan Torres) also stated that he "didn't need my money," despite the fact that my concerns were specifically regarding charges for items and services that I paid for but were either not provided, did not match what was described, or were not properly completed. My review is based solely on my personal experience with this installation and my efforts to resolve the remaining issues directly with the shop. I encourage anyone considering a high-end custom audio installation to carefully review the work, ask detailed questions about the installation, and inspect everything thoroughly before accepting delivery.
