As Christmas is approaching and countless people are at the Promenade mall shopping. I decided to get something to eat at god ol' CPK. Ken was the waiter and did a freaking awesome job. I decided to go with the Ribeye, although it wasn't until I received the Ribeye that I found out that CPK doesn't carry any type of steak sauce. In my opinion if you have steak on the Menu you should have some steak sauce. At any rate, Cathy who was the floor manager/lead or (insert designated title here) was amazing. Between Ken and Cathy they were both 1,2 knockout punch. My meal was replaced without question and for that reason alone, I want to thank the both of you Ken and Cathy for an awesome experience tonight! Worst service ever. Someone other than our waitress brought our food, and not the other things that we wanted with it. Literally slid the plates onto the table as she continued on. We waited about ten minutes with no waitress in sight before I finally walked out to the hostess to ask for forks. Food was half cold by this time. We got about a tablespoon of salad dressing so we couldn't enjoy the salad and ate the now cold pizza first. After about 20 minutes our waitress came over to ask how everything was! We used that moment to finally get some dressing so we could find out how that salad was . It was mediocre, the pizza was almost cheeseless. First and last time. I love CPK and always go to the one in Carmel mountain. I moved to temecula so I've tried the Temecula location twice. Both times were AWFUL. I hate doing this but CPK is a great restaurant and I am so disappointed w this location. I asked for lemons three times for my water and NEVER got them. Server was like a rock. No personality at all. This was the second time. The first time same problem with the server besides she actually had attitude and was rushing us. We had family from out of town so we were catching up. It took us ten minutes to order food. I'm a bartender and that's normal. She made us feel so uncomfortable. I will not be returning to this location. Hire better staff. Eating out is supposed to be joyful. read more

I ate here last night before I went to the movies. It was a Saturday night, and of course there was quite the wait. However, best kept secret, sit at the bar! No wait usually, and for one or two people, it's definitely the way to go! I enjoyed two Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini's which were delicious! For dinner, I ate half a field green salad with gorgonzola cheese. I'm a creature of habit, and this is my usual at CPK. I always order the half a salad, because the normal portion is huge, what you would feed a family of four at home! While enjoying my meal, watching the hustle and bustle of the restaurant, this couple sat down next to me and ordered a slice of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Apparently this stuff is amazing! Other favorites at CPK are the BBQ pizza and the five cheese & tomato pizza both on the honey wheat crust. Yum! I have 4 kids, so eating here with my family is not an economical choice very often, but it is kid friendly and they do enjoy it. read more

There were four of us going out for dinner here. The Food: Three of us ordered pizzas and one ordered a jambalaya dish. We had our three pizzas well before the jambalaya, maybe 10 minutes. The manager came back with the jambalaya and took it off the bill because of the wait. So, bad experience but good response. However, the jambalaya was only 'alright'... I asked for my pizza with extra sauce. It came with (and I kid you not) virtually no sauce on it. I asked our waitress if this was normal and she said yes, that's what it looks like with extra sauce. So I asked for a side of more marinara sauce so I could pour it on top of my pizza. She came back with a small bowl of sauce that was barely enough for me to put a few small globs on each slice. This may sound like enough sauce but it definitely wasn't, especially considering I wanted extra sauce on it to begin with. The side of marinara sauce was also stone cold. So now I was pouring cold sauce on my pizza that was already getting cold. One of the other people in our party had had CPK pizza recently and she enjoyed it but this was certainly not as good as last time for her. She ordered pizza with no cheese (I know lol) and even her pizza was like a barren wasteland in terms of sauce! Only one person in our party actually enjoyed the food. 1/5 rating COVID precautions: The restaurant has people sitting very spaced apart so there is certainly a respect for the CDC guidelines here, which is very refreshing to see and much appreciated! 5/5 rating The waitress: Our waitress, Madi, was very friendly, respectful, and professional. My only complaint is that she didn't check on us as much as I would expect. I had been waiting for about 5 minutes maybe just trying to find her to ask her about my pizza sauce. We had also been waiting a little bit with empty drinks waiting for her to come by so we could ask for refills. 3/5 rating I know this overall rating should be 3/5 but food is by far the most important part of a restaurant so I'm weighting this rating based on the food. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, especially for a pizza place considering what I ordered! I assume it's mostly the cooks who are responsible for the negative experience (not prioritizing the jambalaya correctly to get it out close to the time the pizzas were done, and for the 'okay' quality food we got). I'd give this a no stars if I could! I placed an order online for Easter. Drove to Temecula from Murrieta to pick up food scheduled for 45 minutes after ordering. Arrived and found out that order did not go through when I called in. So gal put my order back in and told me I would have to wait another 20-25 minutes for order to be filled. I waited and called in and was put on hold and no one came back. I hung up after 5 minutes. Called back and gal said that along with my order, she had 20 other orders and 2 cooks. She did not know when I would see my order and I could cancel. I had been waiting there now an hour! Left and never coming back! Haven't been to CPK in along time , but I have to say GIGI was so awesome. Was on top of getting us drinks and bread, was understanding and helpful even though we were waiting on people to arrive . She was knowledgeable about the menu, extremely friendly and I would have to say one of the best waitresses I have come across in years. My first visit: Disappointed! I went here with my daughter and her friend. Daughter's friend is a picky eater so we have her decide where to eat and she chose CPK. I have never been to CPK so I agreed. We got seated right as we came in. The waitress greeted us, took our order, and gave us our bread...all is well UNTIL it's been 30 minutes and we still haven't gotten our food. The waitress came and told us she'll check on our food. ONE HOUR mark the waitress apologized and said they are short staffed and one of the cooks had to go home. The manager came and apologized as well. We finally got our food which is a Chicken Piccata and two kid's pizzas after 1 hour and 20 minutes!!! The chicken piccata was salty but I was hungry so I just picked out the capers (which I love) and ate everything else. The portion is small, It was NOT worth the $18 and change I paid for it. We all got a sundae for being patient which is not enough (in my opinion) to compensate for the 1 hour and 20 minutes wait. Walking into the unfamiliar restaurant I am greeted with a cold hard back. The hostess table was facing opposite to customers entering the facility when they should be greeting. A booth closest to the entrance was used for a place to store utensils where waiters were grabbing from to place on tables therefore decreasing revenue. After we were finally placed there were no silverware and when we did get it there were only two sets for three people. Don't bother with appetizers a complete waste of money. For being called a pizza kitchen the pizza was horrendous. I've had better quality pizza from a three dollar frozen pizza from the supermarket. Don't bother with the club pizza. The Waldorf salad was actually good but overly overpriced. we were only checked on one time. The kids meal was just sad. 5 small nuggets with ranch and ketchup. Pizza has become literally cracker thin, it's really disappointing. I understand this helps them make more money but we really wish they wouldn't get so cheap. The salads are still good. This was my first time visiting a CPK. Our waitress was SUPER friendly and very attentive. We ordered 1 pizza and a drink from the bar. We were given bread with olive oil drizzle. The bread was warm and soft. Our drink came out quickly and was tasty. The pizza was hot and tasted great. It was a very thin pizza and I wish there was a little more sauce but it was still good. We went for a treat as we had $75 in gift cards. Thinking it would be sufficient for our family of 5, we enjoyed an evening out. First off, service was fantastic. The manager greeted us as it was our first visit and brought us an appetizer of roasted peppers to try. My hubby was the only one who likes peppers but he enjoyed them. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed. The disappointment came with our food. Bland bland bland. Pepperoni pizza was oddly sweet, my garlic chicken had little flavor, and the expensive carne asada with avocado had no flavor or balance at all. Came in for a late lunch. Big fans of CPK but not this one. Had to wait to be seated because the staff was talking by the kitchen. Finally got seated and then had to wait for our waitress. Finally she came and we ordered drinks and food. After waiting for quite a while we went up to her and asked where our bread and drinks were. She said they were coming out now! Got our water and bread, still waiting for our Prosecco, and asked for butter for the bread. Prosecco came and asked for butter again. We asked for another round of Prosecco, but we're told we had to finish our glasses before another round could be served. We asked for the manager. He came over and said there was a miss communication and would bring the Prosecco right over. We asked for more bread and for butter a 3rd time. We finally got tired of waiting and I went up to the manager and asked what happened to our drinks, bread & butter. Yes, the 4 th time asking for butter and bread. I did not realize that this was such an impossible task!! We asked for 2 salads when ordering earlier and asked one did not have ctoutons and the other had dressing on the side with no cheese. Both were wrong! I did not know this was also so hard to do. Neither salad came with dressing and the one with no cheese and chicken had cheese and no chicken! I went back up to the manager and said this was the worst service ever. He said he forgot our bread, butter and Prosecco. After that the service improved and the manager comped our food. The food was good after they fixed the mistakes, but should not have happened at all. The restaurant was not busy. Super disappointed !!! Came in for dinner the other night and we sat down while my husband was buying movie tickets. Our waitress, Brooke, was fantastic. Got us drinks and him water, and when he came back she was right there to get him what he wanted to drink. She also mentioned that she knew we were trying to catch a movie so she would do her best to be prompt and she certainly was! Her recommendation of the cauliflower dish was excellent and she was attentive but not overly so..its not often that I leave so impressed with service but we both mentioned the excellent service Brooke provided so I felt compelled to pass it on. Our drinks were filled, she brought my daughter extra napkins and really is someone who is great at what she does. Thanks for the wonderful dinner Brooke! Coming back to CPK I was really excited because it's one of my favorite restaurants and it always has great customer service. But as I came today with my friend we waited 15 min at the entrance to get seated and there was barely anyone in the restaurant so we were both very confused and as we got seated we had to wait another 15/20 min for drinks. And there was about 4 waiters and and then a 5th walked in and still no service. A waiter came to us and asked if we had been helped meaning more one noticed us...I've worked at a restaurant so I know how it works and I've worked in one way more complicated than this so that's why I was confused to why these waiters were having trouble just giving simple customer service. Usually each waiter gets a section of tables and they serve their section. Simple right? Well I guess not for these people..... very disappointing... it's almost like they forgot how to function after quarantine? But anyway we even got seated before these other people and they still got they're food before us?? Doesn't make sense. It's not hard to give customer service. The table who got here 15 minutes after us just received there check, we still are waiting on food and we ordered small meals. I even had time to type this! read more

He approached our bar tender who is very welcoming and manages to remember our usual order. Went today for lunch and when we received the check one of the items was overpriced by one follar and when we drew this to the attention of our waitress, Sarah I, she was unapologetic and sternly told us it was just a sticker over the price and did not even offer to take the dollar off or apologize. Ok, so I've literally walked out of this place twice with in the last 3 months. It's sad because it's not the food, it's the service! It totally sucks. The worst part of the issue is that they weren't even busy. I've worked in restaurants since I was 16. I've worked as a host to a bartender. They where just not good with customer service at all. My wife and I ordered drinks and I literally saw my waitress and the other servers walk right past them. She was a trainer the waiter she was training walked past it. The manager was there talking to the bartender while our drinks where sitting there. After 15 minutes of waiting I grabbed my wife and kids and we left. I use to love CPK. Second time at this restaurant and I was super disappointed. I came here sat outside the waiters didn't even wipe the dusty table we were sitting at ..whatever I got over it. I wanted to take my husband to CPK since he had never been. When we arrived less than half the tables were occupied about 4 in the afternoon.. We were told there would be a 10-15 min wait. We decided to wait. We saw what we thought were 1 or 2 servers, 1 person cleaning and setting up tables a couple of other people walking back and forth to the hostess station. There was someone from management doing an interview with a young lady at a side table. This was all fine but it was hard to understand why we had to wait to be seated. I have eaten here for years. Always enjoyed it! But, we have lunch here last Thursday and sad to say 2 out of three meals were not good. I had a BBQ chopped chicken salad and the chicken was terrible. It tasted like it was old or pre-packaged chicken. My son had the California club pizza (his favorite). It wasn't good either, the lettuce was spinach and soft lettuce not the usual shredded ice burg. The 3rd meal was pasta and was just average. I thought it was weird that our food came to us in less than 5 minutes....was it already prepared?? And I know we always have to ask for bread, which I still don't agree with. read more
